Full Name: Pilar Gonzalez
Nicknames: n/a
Age: 15
Height: average
Weight: not telling
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Alliance: “Good”
Home: Mexico, Earth?
Franchise: The Continuing Saga of Tree, Todd, and Snowy (original story)
Physical Description: Due to Pilar’s bond with Larry, she has two forms now; one human, and the other more like a demon. There’s only a couple basic differences between the human and demon forms, the most noticeable of which being that her ears become pointed, she grows long horns from her head, her skin becomes paler, and she grows a tail. In both forms, she has short blue hair that covers one eye and tanned skin fitting her race (Hispanic). She’s typically seen wearing an old patched up school uniform when she’s doing business. The uniform consists of a short sleeved blouse with a black bow tie. Over it, she wears a jacket whose sleeves appear to have been patched back together several times. She also wears what she considers to be a rather short black skirt and a pair of very tall black boots. Altogether, the outfit seems to fit more with a Japanese school than a Mexican private school. When Larry is in control of her body, Pilar adds one extra article of clothing; a top hat. Where she produces it from, only Larry knows (and Pilar ain’t telling).
On her back, Pilar has a large doll wrapped in bandages. The doll itself is Larry’s vessel, and if he’s separated from it for too long, Larry will be forced into codepending with Pilar, causing Pilar’s physical changes when he takes over her body to become permanent.
Weapons: Pilar doesn’t actually fight, but should she need to, her weapon is the same as Larry’s: the doll on her back.
Abilities/Powers: Pilar possesses no powers on her own due to the nature of her possession.
Skills: Pilar’s rather quick and nimble. Her ability to run around in a short skirt without giving everyone pantyshots probably counts as a skill too.
Personality: Pilar is a bit of a tomboy, even though her way of dress and some of the things she likes (particularly cute things, which she has a huge weakness for.) She has rather odd definitions of what are cute, and she had a tendency to want to take these things home. Other than that, though, she has no problem with beating people up to solve her problems, and really, for someone who was a “normal” person in her world until a few years ago, she fits in quite well with the rest of the absolutely mental cast of the Continuing Saga. Even though she bickers with Larry quite a bit, they’re really quite close.
History: Pilar lived a normal life in a normal house in Mexico for most of her life, until about five years ago. She was walking home from school when she found a keychain with a weird looking Voodoo doll on it. She brought it home with her, and forgot about it. That night, the spirit in the keychain, a demon named Kappa, possessed her body and forced Pilar into a form that better suited him. Afterwards, Kappa explained why he took over her body: he was trying to find the wayward spirit of the demon Oni, his mortal enemy, and required a human vessel to travel throughout this world. Turned out Pilar was totally okay with this, though she wished he had explained that BEFORE taking over her body. The issue of Pilar’s parents eventually came up, and Pilar explained herself to them. They ended up being totally okay with it too.
The first thing Pilar decided once Kappa started borrowing her body was that Kappa sucked as a name. She ended up deciding that Larry made a cooler name and started calling him by that name. It stuck.
A few years passed, and after the destruction of both New York and Cairo by Treetune L.I.P. Conspicillatus, Pilar joined up with another bounty hunter, named Tazewell Simmons, or Taz for short. The two of them worked together to track Tree down and attempt to defeat her. However, Pilar disagreed with Taz’s belief that she needed to die and attempted to stop him from killing the girl. Taz betrayed Pilar and Larry and knocked them unconscious. By the time they woke up, Taz had already betrayed them for Flamel.
Tree managed to convince Pilar to join their effort and fight against Flamel’s group. However, like everyone else, she got blown away through the dimensions when Ark became a Doom God and began Ragnarok.
Other: In case I didn’t make it blindingly obvious, she’s possessed by Kappa, AKA Larry.
Full Name: Unknown
Nicknames: Larry, Kappa
Age: Unknown, at least a thousand years old
Height: Same as Pilar’s (currently)
Weight: Same as Pilar’s (currently)
Gender: Male
Race: Puppetmaster Demon
Alliance: Good
Home: Earth?
Franchise: The Continuing Saga of Tree, Todd, and Snowy
Physical Description: Larry has a few different forms. His original form was that of a Puppetmaster Demon. He was similar in appearance to, but not the same as the demon Oni. The most significant differences were in color, markings, and tails. In his true form as a demon, Larry is a large lupine creature, with most of his proportions being similar to those of a fox or wolf. He stands upright like a human, however. His entire body is covered with dark teal fur. His head is foxlike, with two long ears much like a fox's and highly expressive red eyes. There is a small triangle shaped marking under his eyes. He has a long neck with black triangle shaped markings ringed around it. His hands are larger than normal, with four opposable digits on each hand. Each finger is tipped with a large, savage claw that's about as long as the finger itself when fully extended. His feet are similar to a wolf's, and are tipped with the same savage claws. Extending from Larry’s hips is a long tail that is around seven feet itself, and is tipped with a large spine. Going down Larry's spine are several curved bony spikes. In this form, he often wore a black top hat, and carried his personal weapon, a large rag doll he controlled like a puppet, on his back.
This particular rag doll is now his body, for future reference. For its description, check Larry’s weapons section.
For his form while possessing Pilar, check her section of the app.
Weapons: Larry’s main weapon is a large rag doll about as large as Pilar herself. The doll is rather well stuffed and is very obviously stitched together from many different kinds of cloth. Its eyes have a swirl shape on them, and its mouth is completely stitched together. The doll is large enough that Larry can ride on its back, which he usually does while fighting.
Abilities/Powers: Larry is a Puppetmaster Demon, which should give you some clue to what his powers are. His powers involve controlling people in various ways. His most effective method of controlling people is one of his most dangerous. If he enters a soulgaze with someone (which is initiated by getting direct eye contact with the involved party), he can discern their true name (also known as a “soul name.”) By using this, he can control someone and force them into becoming his servant. He can do this without a soul name but it’s a weaker form of control that someone with a strong mind or will can break free off. Note that he actually doesn’t use these abilities much; Larry isn’t the kind of demon who likes controlling other people like that.
Skills: Larry’s skills are only good for battle, though his ability to pull off a dress the way he can in Pilar’s bod probably counts as a skill.
He can easily hold his own in a fight even without his doll. That’s really it.
Personality: Despite appearances, Larry really seems like your average kind of guy. He can hold himself well in a fight, doesn’t like leaving friends behind, is nice to people… really, just your average guy. It would be hard to believe him a demon if it weren’t for the obvious appearance problems. His favorite food is cucumber.
History: Larry was originally known as Kappa, a puppetmaster demon who was well known for slaying troublesome demons. He was one of those few demons who enjoyed the presence of humans, and went out of his way to aid them, though that didn’t mean that he didn’t control his own territory as well.
At one point, he caught wind of tales about a cruel and evil demon who went by the name of Oni. This demon was controlling all of the people of Karakuri Pass, and Kappa was the only one who could do anything about it, as he too was a puppetmaster demon. Plus, Oni’s territory was starting to overlap with his own. Kappa and Oni fought for years, and finally, the two of them ended up killing each other in battle. Oni escaped to another dimension, but Kappa, unaware of this, possessed a human and went about his way trying to locate Oni again.
The human he ended up possessing was a girl named Pilar Gonzalez. There was a bit of chaos initially due to the circumstances of Kappa’s possession of her, but she ended up being fine with it and agreed to aid him in his efforts.
Five years passed. During this time, Kappa gained a nickname: Larry. Pilar gave him this name because “Kappa” wasn’t cool enough and he ate too many cucumbers for her liking. The two of them (really, just Larry) proceeded to kick a lot of ass in their attempts to find Oni. After a bounty went up for a very very dangerous girl named Tree, Larry joined up with a peacock/wolf hybrid named Taz to find her. The encounter ended with Pilar and Larry unconscious while Taz went to kill Tree. He failed, only because of the intervention of a quite possibly crazy British fisherman named Clive.
After this, Taz ran off to join the group of an alchemist named Nicholas Flamel and try to help end the world by enstating Flamel’s “pet” squirrel (Ratatosk, AKA Hammy) as the new God of Doom and thus starting Ragnarok. Larry wanted revenge for what Taz had done, and agreed to help Tree fight these guys. Of course, things ended badly, and everyone who was at that fight ended up being flung to the Dimensional Island.
…At least he’s finally in the same dimension as Oni.
Other: He isn’t actually possessing Pilar directly 95% of the time. His actual vessel is the rag doll he uses as a weapon. If he possesses Pilar for more than 24 hours at a time, the possession locks in, Pilar permanently gains the physical characteristics she has while Larry’s controlling her body, and the Pilar part of her’s all but surpressed.
