Adachi blinked as Jounouchi held the pen out. "O-oh, sorry," Adachi said, and took the pen back from him. He'd been getting started on the paperwork again when Anzu spoke.

"I don't think there's any other apartment complexes around here... well, none that I've seen. If there are, though, the one you're looking for is near this place called 'Chill-Out Coffee'," Adachi said. He went back to filling out paperwork.

"You sure you'll be okay by yourself?" Anzu asked.

"Anzu, relax. He's a man, he can take care of himself. Don't you want to see Yuugi?"

Anzu looked nervous, "Uh... right. Thank you for your help, Adachi-san."

Jounouchi lifted a hand to wave at Adachi as Anzu walked a bit fast towards the exit. Or where the signs indicated the exit was, in any case. She'd covered half the floor before Jounouchi realized how fast she was going. He gave a shout at her to wait up and ran after her, holding the Scale in his pocket so it wouldn't fall out as he did so, and leaving Adachi by himself.
