"I didn't RUDELY come anywhere. I was FIRED here by Skulker, this rabid ghost hunting... ghost." Danny fired back, mere moments before William was... ah... tossed into a wall in a rather similar fashion. As if the comparisons he could make between Vlad and Belphegor weren't already plentiful enough.
He attempted to fire his ectoblast there. It failed, miserably, of course. A plot device, or a naturally occurring event due to Danny's lack of practice? The world will never know.
In any case, it took him only a moment to realize that he could still fly. He assumed that, as such, his intangibility should still work, right? He didn't have time to test it, however. So, if it didn't, he and Will would go crashing into the wall... again.
Danny quickly flew towards the other ghost, grabbing him. Now was time for the field test. He found merely a brief second from the time he grabbed William to work his intangibility. And, as luck would have it...
...it worked. The two were in another room. Daniel wasn't sure how far away said room was, as he'd had his eyes closed for the beginning of the flight. However, he noted one thing. One thing as soon as the two entered the room.
His ghost sense went off a total of two times.

William hadn't had a chance to recover from Belphegor's blast. Heck, he hadn't even had enough time to come back to his senses after getting knocked into the wall. And at the speed Danny was going, he wasn't even fully aware as the white haired ghost landed in the new room. At least until he heard a voice.
"Your highness!"
Will jerked back into reality and looked over to see two mostly transparent faces. He jumped up, his feet not returning to the ground. He looked at Danny and then at the young man and teenage girl.
"I am fine," he said, turning back towards Danny, "I am grateful for what you tried to do, but I would have been alright. He takes far too much pleasure in kicking me around to destroy me. You do not have that luxury. I bequeath you, leave this place while you can. I have been here long enough to know you are not tied here."
The two ghosts in the corner were looking at Danny rather fearfully. William let his feet touch the ground. His eyes carried a large amount of pain, but he waited for Danny's response.
And yes, he totally just said "bequeath." The teen talked slowly and enunciated every word, and would have likely sounded snooty had his voice not been soft and slightly pained. It didn't seem like pain from the attack, either...

Daniel had just decided that this entire situation could be compared to a bad replay of the whole 'Pariah Dark' situation. After all, 'your highness', William's way of speaking, his loyal subjects. The only difference being Pariah Dark was evil and his servants were undead skeletons. And Fright Knight. But Fright Knight failed so we'll ignore him, mmkay?
"Er, right... thanks." Danny responded. The fact that the other two ghosts seemed fearful of him was enough to let him know he'd overstayed his welcome. He turned to fly away into the air like a biiiird...
...before two blue-white rings appeared around his waist, one going up, the other down. Where there was once a teen with snow white hair, glowing green eyes, pale skin, with a jumpsuit now stood Danny Fenton. Socially awkward teenager with ashy black hair, dull blue eyes, pale skin, blue jeans, and a white shirt with red highlights. In fact, perhaps the only thing remaining to show that he was indeed the same teen from before was the general shape of his hair, and the thermos strapped to him.
As a side note, the fact that he was human again meant he couldn't access his powers. Normally he'd at least be able to go intangible and hover a bit, but with his lack of practice and all... yeeeaaahhh.
"...going ghost?"

William seemed relieved as it seemed the visitor was about to leave when the rings appeared. He jumped back, and actually drew his insubstantial sword as Danny looked down at himself and tried to cause the change to occur again. The other two ghosts blinked several times, so much in shock that they couldn't do anything.
William was in much the same condition. He opened his mouth. Then closed it. Then opened it. And closed it. That was a living human. Well, was now. He opened his mouth again, "Who... might you be?"
He was rather surprised he got that much out. However, his sword was still at ready. Probably not the greatest position for Danny. It seemed he'd be attacked if he gave the wrong answer. Which, wasn't really that big of a deal, you know? Intangible ghost with stupidly fancy looking sword? Yeah, not really a threat... maybe.

"...you've never heard of me?" Danny asked, flabbergasted. This was even worse than that demon from before not knowing Skulker or The Box Ghost. He was DANNY PHANTOM for goodness sake. He had to get some recognition, right? Right?
Apparently not. As William had just seen him go human form, and still seemed to have no idea who he was. Whatsoever. Hadn't everyone seen him change back at the north pole?
"I'm Danny. Danny Fenton. Also known as Danny Phantom. I'm... er... half-ghost." Danny continued, noting the sword pointing in his direction. He took the logical assumption, that William had no idea what he was, and answered the unasked question. Self-fulfilling prophecy, amirite?
"...and who exactly are you? I don't remember seeing you around the Ghost Zone..."

The two ghosts in the corner exchanged confused looks. William narrowed his eyes, but it seemed the other teenager was telling the truth. He lightened his stance and sheathed his sword before speaking.
"I can not claim to know what you mean by half-ghost. That implies you are half dead, which you do not seem to be. And you have a mortal life force right now, so that means you are also not an abomination of the undead," he paused, trying to think how to answer the last part, "I do now know of this 'Ghost Zone' you speak. Mayhaps you hail from another dimension? As for your question, my name is Prince William of Amalthis VI. In life I was the heir to the long lost throne. I would suggest you attempt to leave via the front door, but the demon that has made himself lord of this domain seals it in such a manner none can leave via mortal routes."

"Err, right. The 'getting out of here', part. Just give me a sec, it could take a bit of time." Danny stated, turning, arms held high.
"GOING GHOST!" And so it began. He repeated the phrase he's perhaps most known for numerous times. He stopped count at around twenty or so. Still nothing.
"Okay, this is bad. Is there 'mayhaps' a back door? Or an exit through the roof?" Daniel asked, using finger quotes at 'mayhaps'. Wasn't so much that he was 'making fun of' William, more that he was going for a dialect he felt the prince would be more comfortable with.
It deserves mention that at one point the rings did appear around his waist, but quickly receded, leaving the teen with a sour look upon his face.

William stared blankly at shout number five. He turned to the other ghosts and shook his head at ten. By twenty, he was facepalming. The evidence, particularly the ring, in indicated that was supposed to activate his abilities. Something like a magic spell. But the fact that the teen kept trying after it had obviously failed... was he trying to mimic a jester?
He frowned at the usage of his word, more because of the finger quotes than the poor attempt at using William's dialect. Will spoke like a noble, and while he meant no insult with this thought, this "Danny" didn't seem to be nobility. He shook his head at the question.
"No, there exists none. I feel I should rephrase. There are other exits, for sure, but they are all sealed off by the demon. The only one I believe is unguarded is not a place either of us would be safe to tread. You were in that dungeon, the ghosts there would gladly rip all four of us apart," William looked particularly pained at that comment. It was clear he was remembering something, "And I fear my time away may be-"
Before William could finish, the solid wooden door leading to the room burst into flames. The door, which despite the general run down nature of the castle, that was several inches thick and in top notch condition. Burst into flames. William's eyes widened. He had known the time away would cause punishment, but Belphegor had never been one to search the castle well enough to know that this tower was where his charges preferred to hide.
He ran forward and pulled out his sword. If Danny knew the stances of those that knew how to use a weapon, he'd know that William was an expert with his blade. That wasn't the truly surprising part. A slight pulse of energy focused on the pendant will had around his neck surfaced, and suddenly the royal teenager was almost completely tangible. His body could be seen through with a slight squint, but it took some effort. Oddly enough, his sword looked completely opaque, as real and tangible as he currently was.
"All of you, stay back! That is the power of Agidyne the demon possesses! He will be through in minutes, if not less!"
The two ghosts seemed to try to be going through the wall. It might have struck Danny as odd that they couldn't. It could potentially be passed off as them being too scared. It was not like Danny knew those spirits were tied to their place of death as such.

And then suddenly things hit the fan. The door lit fire, William went forward with his sword, and the ghosts bumped into the wall in a failed attempt to leave. Yeah. This was one of those days where he should've stayed in bed. And suddenly he found the power of urgency.
"GOING GHOST!" The teen exclaimed again, eyes widening. This was bad. It's not that he doubted William's talent with his sword. It was that he doubted William's talent of 'not being knocked into a wall again'.
"GOING GHOST!" Danny exclaimed again, the rings appearing. They did not move, they did not dissipate. They remained there, taunting him. The continuous burning of the door, however, gave him what he needed for his other self to claw its way to the surface. The power of adrenaline. The power of urgency. The power of convenience.
"GOING GHOOOOST!"
One ring went up, one went down. Where there was once Danny Fenton now stood Danny Phantom. He shook a bit, however. The change had taken it out of him. He realized, at that moment, that even ghosts got the fight-or-flight response. He had to choose carefully, for he felt after this he'd be drained of energy. For how long, he did not know.
He chose fight. Why? There were two helpless ghosts unable to get through a wall. That left William alone to fight the demon from before. Danny had seen enough horror movies with Sam and Tucker(who usually pulled his beret down to cover his eyes) to know that that would not have ended well.
As it was, however, he shifted, moving back to be in front of the two other ghosts. He'd handle defense if Will had offense.

One might have expected the door to, you know, fall down or something. Not... burn down. Completely. As in the blast of fire that shot towards William passed over a rather large pile of wood ash.
William managed to step to the side, but the rather loud hiss was more than enough to show he'd been nicked. Well, that and the burnt hole in his tunic sleeve and the mark on his arm. Belphegor stepped through. Thing was... he didn't look pissed. He looked entertained. The aura coming off of him was far worse than before. It carried the same level of intensity, but it seemed to be pouring out of him in larger amounts. The gravity defying pieces of his outfit were spiralling extremely fast.
He stood in the doorway and smirked. William glanced back at the ghosts and... probably surprised Danny. In that he grimaced, hanging his head in dejected defeat and letting his sword clatter to the floor before dropping to one knee and deeply bowing towards Belphegor.
(OOC: Pausing cause I wanna give Danny a chance to react and possibly misinterpert this. XD)

Well that was... unexpected. Had he just... had he just bowed to the demon? There were numerous thoughts running through Daniel's mind at this moment. Had this all been for naught? Had the show William put on earlier, Danny's struggle to go ghost, had it all been... for nothing?
Needless to say, his 'defensive' stance changed to a 'confused' one. His shoulders slumped, one of his eyebrows quirked, and one of his hands went up to rub his hair, awkwardly. It was times like this he wished Tucker was around to make a deadpan statement to sum up the situation. He'd have to take on that roll, however.
"...you do know he just shot fire at you, right?"

William twitched, but remained silent. Belphegor smirked. The oddly auraed ghost had just given him an excellent idea. His grin became dark and he walked past the mostly tangible prince, pausing as he passed, "Now now, no need to be so polite. After all, it was all part of the plan was it not?"
The reaction would all depend on how well Danny could read the situation. William tensed up significantly, his hands twitching as he if wanted to curl them up into fists. Belphegor shot a glare at the two ghosts, and the mouths they had just opened quickly shut. He stepped up to Danny and grinned even darker than before, "However, their fate will not be good if you do not agree to serve me..."
He could tell the white haired ghost was... different somehow. He couldn't claim to know how, but if the ghost would supplicate himself to him, he could figure out how. It seemed it might be rather useful.
William kept his pose. No matter how Danny interperted it, fact was he wanted to fight. He wanted so desperately to do something. Encourage Danny to flee now that he had regained his ghost form. Attack Belphegor, tell him off. Or at least tell Danny there had been no "plan" to trap him. But there were only two left. He had to keep the position of servant or they would be destroyed. Only two loyal members of his kingdom remained, he couldn't let them die.
He made a slight noise, and it was the sound of trying to hold back tears. He squeezed his eyes shut and prevented any from falling. He wished he could do something... anything... but he couldn't. It had become a lose lose situation. Either Danny agreed and lost his freedom, or he didn't and Will's existing charges were destroyed. The attempt to prevent his hands from balling into fists failed...

Needless to say, young Daniel was not easily fooled. Or perhaps he was. The point was, he had no intentions of giving up his freedom. And the ghosts behind him seemed too... too innocent to be in on this 'plan' the demon spoke of. The way they bumped into the wall repeatedly before, when trying to escape, led him to believe they weren't capable of much. He could have been wrong, but still.
An ectoblast would probably bounce off of Belphegor's aura, or worse, miss completely. If he tried to freeze him, the demon could always counter with a blast of fire. Simple punches and kicks would be suicide. One option was left open to Danny.
The Ghostly Wail. The half-ghost had to move quickly, else he miss his opportunity. He found his mouth open,a s if he was going to give Bel his answer. What came out, however, was not a word, was not a sentence. It was a yell. A wailing, even. This was no joke, however. Danny had, once before, taken down an army of ghosts using the Ghostly Wail.
He hoped it would have a similar effect on Belphegor. He could already feel the energy being drained from him...

And it actually did effect Belphegor. He twitched as the sound assaulted him, and he clamped his hands over his ears. He took a few steps back and forced open his eyes. That was indeed a bit painful. But William's reaction gave him a dose of humor that helped alleviate the pain.
William basically collapsed, his tangibility lost and his form flickering a bit more than was usual for his intangible form. He had his hands clamped over his ears as well, and he almost seemed to be spasming. The two innocents behind Danny weren't really receiving the brunt of the forward based attack, but it was still much like a high pitched noise to them. At least covering their ears seemed to help. But it also informed Belphegor there was a far safer place to stand.
His eyes still twitching a bit from the noise, he forced his feet forward. He was trying to run, but the intense energy of the attack turned it into a quick walk. As soon as he was in the small safe zone, taking advantage of the energy output Danny was using, he thrust his arm forward.
"Wrong answer," he quickly said as what appeared to be strips of paper shot out of his hands at the innocents. They were quickly covered in the paper, which had writing Danny may have recognized from his time with Tucker. After all, the guy was a comic book geek. He'd probably seen kanji before. At conventions if nothing else, because even comic books ones had a few manga here and there.
But the point was that when the paper vanished in a burst of white energy, the ghosts would be gone...

Keep in mind that the 'army of ghosts' mentioned before had been completely blown back from the blast. Belphegor had just walked through it. This implied, if not directly stated, that he was stronger than an ARMY of GHOSTS. EMPHASIS. The wall, however, wasn't. Well, part of it, as it was blown to bits. That would've been good for the ego had the ghosts not been covered in strips of paper.
However, his energy was indeed drained. Not as much as he'd expected, however. His hair returned to its normal ashy black shade, but the rest of his costume remained. He growled, forcing the rings again. It hurt. He was, perhaps, far over his limitations. But this was no time to think of such trivial matters. He had ghosts to save.
He assumed, of course, that if he defeated Belphegor, the paper would disperse, leaving the ghosts. Danny didn't know how to read kanji, of course. Tucker had been too busy watching Valerie from afar to teach him any. He could assume, however, that one thing it wouldn't do was turn the two into evil spirits with no morality who would proceed to absorb each other and destroy Void City in one day.
Rather unfortunate, really. In any case, Daniel realized he was on limited time. Even with the adrenaline rush Phantom was receiving, neither Fenton nor Phantom would be able to continue much longer. He'd have checked on William if the ghost was covered in bits of white paper.
He fired himself at Belphegor, after turning around, charging his fist with a blast of ectoplasm. It was unlikely if he hit, but if he did, Bel would hopefully have a sore jaw...
