The moment the computer exploded, Magatsu Izanagi knew something was up. That had been sudden, and the way it had exploded meant that it had been controlled in a way so that it wouldn't hit any of the combatants. And the power of the beam of light that had caused to to explode in the first place... it had been godlike. It had been very familiar. But by the time Magatsu Izanagi had realized what it was, he was already getting fired at by the Morning Star in his human form.
The beam hit solidly, and Magatsu Izanagi let out a scream of pain. Adachi let out a scream of pain, as it was obvious that was who was in control again after a few seconds. The beam seemed to have done its job; Magatsu Izanagi had been forced back out of Adachi's body from pure force, but because the attack had attacked Adachi's body as well as the Magatsu Izanagi Persona in control of it, Adachi had felt twice the amount of pain. As a result, Adachi fell to his knees before finally collapsing unconscious on the sand.
Souji's eyes were wide, and he was staring at Lucius. That had been the proof. The man had six wings, even if they'd just disappeared like that. That guy-- that demon-- was Lucifer.
"Why the hell are you here?!" Minato yelled at Lucius.
----------------
Kanji groaned and sat up as Fairy's Treasure gave her news. "That Atem guy summoned a god?!" He didn't even know the guy had any cards that could summon a god like that. all he thought was that that guy had a bunch of cards he could summon random monsters from.
----------------
Uzume gave a low chuckle at Jounouchi's shout. So that Kaiba fellow often insulted Jounouchi like that, hm? She crossed her arms and unfolded one of her fans.
"Are you suggesting we fight? You forget, I am a demon. If I wanted to, I could easily tear you to pieces," Uzume chuckled. "Or, I could force you to become my slave. Might be interesting, having a human like you as my slave." She was lightly fanning herself as she spoke.

"Adachi-san!" Yuugi shouted.
He lowered the hand that had been about to summon Holy Elf. He'd intended on putting her on defense for Souji. The decision of Naoto and Minato to stay had only strengthened his own to go. Souji wouldn't be left alone, and with friends that were closer to Souji than he was, he'd be fine. Then all that chaos had happened, and now Adachi was unconscious in the sand. Part of him wanted to run over to check on Adachi, but part of him was terrified as to what Lucius would do. The teenager's eyes were slitted, it was just like Abel when he got pissed...
Lucius didn't answer Minato. First he gave an obviously annoyed frown and walked over to Adachi. His frown deepened as he looked down at the man, and he went into a crouch. He grabbed a handful of Adachi's hair and jerked the man's head up. He could have been more subtle about this had Adachi not blabbed who he was to the group. The frown changed to a smirk as he jerked the man's head.
"Tohru, I didn't say you could be unconscious. I wouldn't have had to hit you so hard if you hadn't told everyone here who I was. I could have been nice about it," Lucius dropped Adachi's had back to the sand, "Wake up."
Adachi would be yanked out of his unconscious state just by Lucius' order. Every bit of pain his body had passed out from dealing with would be felt as he woke up. He just wouldn't be able to pass out from it... Without waiting for a response, Lucius looked up at the group.
"It's quite possible I saved your lives. You should probably be thanking me. I'll handle my property, don't you have someone to save?"
----------
"I-I don't really know all this Ka stuff, but Ra is one of three really powerful one of a kind cards known as the God Cards! Atem-kun is one of the few..." she hesitated as she said that. Fairy's Treauure had said two? Did she mean Atem and Malik? Anzu shook her head, "They really hurt people that try to summon them without permission, even in the card game! They're not normal cards! Atem-kun must be in a lot of danger if he summoned one of the God Cards! We have to find him!"
"Mistress, I can guide you out of here from above!"
Anzu looked at the Ka and nodded, "Please do! We have to find him quickly!"
----------
Jounouchi looked about two seconds from twitching with anger. He wanted to shove those words down Uzume's throat. He hadn't forgotten she was a "demon", but he wasn't one to run around being insulted. But there really was a more important situation at hand. Bakura was in trouble, and they didn't have a clue where the others were. One could easily see how disgusted he was at his next statement.
"Later, we have to find Yuugi-tachi," he lifted a hand and pointed it at Uzume, "But I'll show you how 'defenseless' I am later. Call it a rain check."
"You know what else? You're a pretty useless demon. I'd think you'd be able to key into the group somehow. I helped defeat something far more powerful than I suspect you'll ever be. Don't look down on me."
Jounouchi didn't realize how much of a point he had. There were two Millenium Items running around the World at the moment. Yuugi had the Pendant, and Bakura had the Ring. While the "evil" was gone from the Ring, both it and the Pendant remained demonic in origin. Ring was actually quite a bit closer, at that...
----------
There was a long and awkward silence after Shadow Bakura basically begged Atem to kill him. Atem was running through the possible responses in his head. Shadow Bakura had buried his face in his hands again. This... this could have been what his Partner could have become. If he hadn't rubbed off on him so much, if he hadn't stopped him from allowing Kaiba to kill himself...
"I can't."
Shadow Bakura looked up.
"If you had asked me to do that when Partner first got solved the Puzzle, I might have. At least, I might have trapped you in darkness until you got some sense tortured into you. But now? I can't."
"Then you're useless," Shadow Bakura growled.
Atem's eyes widened as Shadow Bakura got to his feet. There it was, that Shadow aura again. This level of mood swinging didn't seem to be Bakura. The Shadow was supposed to be Bakura's suppressed emotions, but... was it the fog? Atem realized it had to be it. The emotions of Bakura's Shadow probably weren't stable... Atem narrowed his eyes. Was his threat going to have to come true despite his wishes?
----------
Once again, Ra seemed ready to attack...

Adachi hadn't gotten to rest for long, as Lucius's order had literally forced his body awake in order to honor their agreement. Adachi would have to take any order Lucius gave him, no matter what. The first thing Adachi felt was the excruciating pain from the attack. He felt like he was going to pass out again, except he literally couldn't. His body wouldn't let him. He looked up at Lucius, and his face turned to a glare.
"Why are you here?!" Adachi yelled. He appeared to be trying to push himself back up again, but he didn't seem to have the strength for it.
Souji was glaring at Lucius, but the demon had a point. They had to hurry; the rain would have started in their world by now. Once the fog from the rain set in, they'd be screwed. They had to hurry to the ruins, and fast.
"Come on, let's go!" Souji yelled. He started running toward the ruins in the distance, and Naoto followed after him. Minato gave another glance back at Adachi before following after the two of them.
--------------
"Yeah, get us outta here!" Kanji said to the fairylike Ka. They needed to find Atem, and fast. It couldn't be long until the fog set in; they didn't have much time.
--------------
It wouldn't be easy for Jounouchi to tell because of the fan on her face, but Uzume was actually scowling at him. She hated to admit he had a point. It was mainly because of the fog of deceit, though it wasn't as thick right now. Less thick was not a good thing, however. In fact, it was a very bad thing, from what she knew of this world. But it didn't change the fact she couldn't get a fix on two very dark and demonic objects.
She opened her mouth to give Jounouchi a few very harsh words before stopping. Well, she was sensing something now.
"The Shadow's going berserk," Uzume stated. "I suspect someone provoked it. The coming storms likely didn't help. If you don't wish for the Bakura child, and likely the rest of us as well, to die, then we need to hurry." And without waiting for another word, Uzume started running down the passageway. Hopefully it would lead to the main room. She hoped to the gods it lead to that room. Dammit, she was not dying here with the rest of those humans.

Lucius just smirked at Adachi. There was an answer to give the man, but not in the middle of all his aquaintances like this. He looked up towards the group with a more entertained smirk. He didn't care one way or the other if Bakura died, but if they kept delaying things, he would. As it was, it was time to get Adachi out of there. He was still worth more alive than dead, after all.
Yuugi gave Adachi a sad look, but he had turned to run about the time Souji yelled at him. Above ground as they were, and without a "game" with rules to follow, they'd reach the area Atem was at fairly quickly. Of course, there were lots of buildings. Yuugi closed his eyes after confirming he had a straight stretch of path and held the Pendant. It was hard to see in the light, especially with what was coming of Ra, but it pulsed with a bit of light. The main power of the Pendant was, after all, friendship.
"This way!" Yuugi shouted, suddenly turning left.
----------
The Ka had already shot towards the roof. A few seconds after vanishing into one of the columns of light, she popped back in a distance away. She releasd a flash of energy, causing a sort of a pale green flicker. Anzu felt it as much as she saw it.
"Tatsumi-san, this way!"
Following the Ka's guidance, the pair would be out of the area in a few minutes. And by some law of dungeon design, since they didn't reach a dead end they'd also be right outside the temple-like area Atem, Bakura, and his Shadow were in.
----------
Jounouchi seemed rather overconfident at the reaction Uzume was having. She seemed human enough by her stances, and while Jounouchi was no expert on reading body language, he could tell she was pretty peeved by her stance. He wasn't aware that he was about to be chewed out, but he caught the pause in her voice as she switched from what she was going to say at first.
"Hey, wait up!"
Jounouchi ran after her as she ran off. Flame Swordsman remained at his back. Unlike the others, a few Shadows did try to sneak up on the group. Luckily they were of a weaker sort and none of them reflected nor blocked fire or slash. Flame Swordsman was able to handle them.
----------
Atem frowned. He had to do this. At this point, he could just knock some sense into Bakura's Shadow. Or at least try to. WIth others, it had taken whole teams. Well, he did have Ra summoned. As the aura exploded out, concealing Bakura's form, Atem lifted his hand.
As the aura drew back in, the "true" form of Bakura's Shadow was revealed. It's form was a corpse white bull of sorts, although that was a pleasant description ignoring the details. For one, flesh seemed to be rotting off it in various places, exposing muscle far more dense than seemed possible. Flying around it were what appeared to be four pitch black giant falcons whose wings and tail feathers faded into black shadow-like mist. The hooves branched out more like talons, and the front hooves were more like human hands than anything else.
The horns of the bull came up from the face, which had stretched charcoal black flesh. They curled together at the back and came back down at the front in the form of an inverted ankh. From the bull's back were black wings that seemed to be made of tight muscles. They didn't seem capable of flapping and were there more for show than anything else. They managed impressive pretty well. One of the most interesting traits of the Shadow as that the four falcons seemed almost to be attacking the "bull".
Atem's hand had dropped half a second before the Shadow was revealed. It was now that Ra opened its mouth. A beam of what appeared to be light and fire shot from the Ka's beak and blasted into the top of the area Atem was at. To say the roof vanished would almost be an understatement. It exploded, and those outside near the area would have to be careful about the flaming pieces of shrapnel now going every which way. Due to the obstacles, only a small part of the power actually hit the Shadow. And while damage was clearly done, it seemed to rather piss it off as well.
Which lead to one of the Falcons turning into black energy and shooting at Atem. There was no chance for the former Pharaoh to dodge, and the Curse related force was enough to send Atem flying into a back wall. He tensed up as he hit, before falling down onto his knees and hissing at the pain. The Shadow falcon vanished as soon as the force finished transferring, Atem wasn't in condition to notice that black energy seemed to be forming at the inverted Ankh around the Shadow's neck...

Adachi was still glaring up at Lucius as the others left. As it was, he couldn't do anything to help Ryou. He'd failed at the one thing he'd come there to do, and he couldn't even go with Seta's group because he was too injured to even move right now. And even if he wasn't, he doubted Lucius would let him go.
"Dammit..." Adachi growled to himself.
---------------
Souji gave a nod as Yuugi led the way to the temple-like area Ra was flying over. Because of Yuugi's directions, they managed to make it there before the other two groups would, which also meant that they were the nearest to the temple when Ra opened its mouth to fire its beam. Naoto was the first to look up as the beam was about to fire.
"Look out!" Naoto yelled just as the beam hit the temple roof, and flaming shrapnel from the blast began flying every each way. Lacking much of her usual flair when it came to summoning her Persona, she crushed the glowing blue card in her hand. Yamato-Takeru appeared and slashed its katana out, sending out blasts of razor wind like the Vorpal Blade Magatsu Izanagi used earlier. The wind blasted through the flying shrapnel and knocked it away from the others.
"Bakura's Shadow must have gone berserk. Come on, let's go!" Minato yelled.
----------------
Thankfully enough, the tunnel Uzume had discovered came out right outside that temple-like area that Atem and the shadow were in.
"We don't have time. If that flaming roof is any indication, things just went south," Uzume stated.

"I assure you, that's handled," Lucius chuckled at Adachi's curse, "At least in regards to yourself. You asked why I'm here? Because I promised you I would protect you from Izanagi. The manner I did so is a result of your own actions, Tohru. If you hadn't felt the need to inform your 'friends' of our deal and my identity, I might have been inclined to keep my end of things in a way that would have allowed you to take an active part in protecting your precious Ryou."
Lucius' smirk had increased as he went on. He looked up from Adachi and towards the receding mist. He could more than feel the advancing Shadows. It only caused his smirk to widen once more. ----------
Yuugi had thrown up his arms as soon as Ra had released its attack. It meant the vain attempt at guarding himself had just barely preceded the shrapnel. Naoto's quick reaction had pretty much saved everyone's skin. The short teenager had lowered his arms as Naoto gave her Persona its command. He had been treated to the small sentai-like being managing to destoy a piece seconds before it would have crushed him. It was close enough that even saved, Yuugi felt the wind of it as the two halves passed him.
"Th-thank you..." Yuugi said in a quiet voice. He quickly shook his head' "We have to hurry!"
Without waiting for confirmation, the teenager ran towards the wide temple archway. Atem was in massive danger, and they were short on time for Bakura as well. ----------
A large piece of the roof had crashed where Jounouchi and Uzume had been seconds earlier. The blonde had whirled around and the color drained from his face. It didn't look ready to return any time soon when he saw Ra.
"Ra!? Why the hell would Atem-kun need to summon... nevermind! Come on, he might need our help!"
Uzume likely hadn't needed to be told that. Jounouchi didn't seem to care, He was running forward with little regard to potential dangers. Flame Swordsman at least seemed to have his back. ----------
Atem had forced himself back to his feet. However, it almost felt as if there was a continued drain on his strength. Giving what he was fighting, it wasn't impossible. However, it meant it would be that much harder to maintain Ra.
He was lifting his arm to order another attack when he heard rapid footsteps. He jerked his head back and his eyes widened at the silhouette that could only belong to his Partner. As a result, the former Pharaoh had e rare case of missing a detail. He didn't see that the black mist gathering at the inverted ankh had formed a replacement shadow falcon.
"Partner!"
"Atem!!" Yuugi came to a stop just back from Atem, and was a bit ahead of the others. He noticed Bakura's still body just as quickly as he saw the Shadow, "Bakura-kun!"
"Partner, we have to stop his Shadow before we can save him!"
Yuugi gave a worried nod. Aa usual, at least in a battle situation, Atem was right. In a flash of blue flame, Nefertum appeared above Yuugi.

Adachi's eyes widened as Lucius spoke. Lucius had said he'd protect him from Izanagi. That much was definitely true; it had been the reason Adachi had finally agreed to this deal in the first place. He'd be protected from Izanagi. But he didn't think it extended to his own Persona...
Adachi said nothing, but it was clear that he was pained by these latest developments. He didn't even seem to notice the receding fog at this point.
------------------
Souji, Minato, and Naoto hadn't seen any reason to argue as they ran to the temple archway, Personas already summoned.
Uzume sighed as Jounouchi ran to the temple. While she'd prefer to let him get killed, she did have her orders. And so, she ran after him.
Kanji hadn't waited for Anzu to run forward first. The moment he saw Souji running toward the temple, he started running to the arch. The end result of this was that Souji, Minato, Naoto, Kanji, Uzume, and Jounouchi ended up going through the large arch at around the same time.
Souji looked up at the Shadow and winced. More Egyptian themed shadows, huh? If Atem and Yuugi's had been any indication, this one was probably fond of Mudo skills. They'd all have to be careful, but especially Minato, since his Persona, and thus himself, seemed to be particularly weak to such skills.
"Izanagi, Megidolaon!" Souji yelled. The Persona held out its hand and fire a large orb of energy at Bakura's Shadow. Minato ordered Messiah to do the same.

(OOC: Yeah, I totally forgot Anzu in my last post. Oops. This is what happens on the Wii. Guess where I'm not, while still being at my house? YAY COMPUTER!)
Lucius remained the crouching position over Adachi. The fallen angel in human form didn't seem inclined to do anything more. Time was indeed short for the human among them, but he was confident in his ability to get them out in an instance. It wasn't like they'd have to be sloppy and jump through what Souji and his friends likely considered a standard portal. In fact, the arrogance was magnified when the blond let himself fall into a sitting position.
"I suspect they'll be able to save him. I know the kind of humans that make up their group," Lucius stated.
----------
Anzu had found herself a bit surprised at the speed in which Kanji had flown past her. She was right behind him as he followed the signs of Fairy's Treasure. That resulted in her being just behind the main group as they all managed to get into the temple-like region where Bakura's Shadow was fighting. She almost faceplanted when she saw what the group was fighting. After she recovered, she covered her mouth. Was that thing rotting?
For all his comic relief, Jounouchi could fight. When he saw what was going on, he was able to realize the full extent of the situation. Stopping at a central area to the others, he lifted up a card he'd had at ready the entire time he was here. However, as it vanished into light and Red Eyes, Black Dragon appeared, he fell to his knees. The stone ground meant he felt no small amount of pain. He hissed, and both of his summoned Ka hesitated and looked back towards him.
"Jounouchi-kun!" Yuugi shouted. He was holding a more rear position to the others. He ran up to Jounouchi and looked at him, "Do you need to be healed?"
"Jounouchi-kun, call back one of your Ka! Its too much a strain on your Ba as it is!"
All this happened around the time that Souji and Minato ordered their attacks. The two attacks hit straight on, and three of the shadowy falcons burst into nonexistance. However, the main body of the Shadow didn't seem phased in the least. The remains of the falcons shot towards the inverted ankh at the Shadow's neck. There was a large mass of shadow swirling there. Shadow Bakura let out a rather animalistic howl and a huge attack ripped through the battle field.
The attack was of the dark element, of which Souji and Minato would leap to calling the Mudo family of skills. However, it was more accurate to call it a dark skill. The attack had more in common with the seemingly forgotten Curse abilities than anything else. Yuugi's eyes widened as the black swirl pretty much enveloped the whole battlefield, but to his surprise the attack just stung a bit.
Atem hissed and took a step back from the force, but it quite honestly had hurt less than before. It was clear it had hurt him more than Yuugi. Anzu clutched her chest and fell to her knees, and Fairy's Treasure vanished. Her reaction would make it a bit hard to tell it had done standard damage, but she did seem able to push back to her feet. The attack hit before Jounouchi could unsummon one of his Ka, and it easily did the most damage of the bunch. Yuugi was in the right position even with being hit to catch the blond as even on his knees, he collapsed.
"Jounouchi-kun! Nefertum, Diarahan!"
He honestly wasn't even sure if Jounouchi was conscious. Luckily for the field, he was. His Ka didn't fare as well, both vanishing due to the damage the teenager had received. As Nefertum cast the spell ordered by Yuugi, the next set of attacks could happen. Jounouchi twitched and Yuugi was having trouble supporting him due to the stature difference. Atem had lifted his arm for another attack order when he heard Yuugi shout out Jounouchi's name. It broke his concentration on the battle and he jerked his head. He was clearly relieved Yuugi had it covered.
(OOC: Alright, I figure I should clarify. Jounouchi is weak against Dark, blocks light and resists electric. Anzu is weak against wind and resists electric. This relates to what their Persona would be if I ever gave them one. (A reinterpert of Horus (Sun Arcana) for Jounouchi and a new Lovers Arcana for Anzu, Alcmena based upon the same figure from myth.)

Adachi wasn't feeling any better about things as Lucius took a seat in front of him. By this point, Adachi had stopped trying to push himself up. He was just in too much pain to do so. He looked away from Lucius as the demon spoke. Adachi knew they would. They'd never failed once. But he'd wanted to apologize to Bakura in person. He wouldn't get the chance now. He knew Bakura wouldn't come within five feet of him now.
No words in response to Lucius, but Adachi actually looked like he was going to cry.
------------------
Souji's eyes widened as the wave of dark energy ripped through the battlefield. His gaze immediately shot to Minato. Minato was still injured from the fight with Magatsu Izanagi. He wouldn't be able to take this next attack...
But before Minato could do anything to avoid the attack, it hit. Jounouchi may have been hit the worst of all of them, but at least he was conscious. The dark energy had hurt Minato enough that, combined with his previous injuries, he was knocked unconscious. Souji grunted as the attack hit, but managed to stay standing, as did Kanji. Naoto didn't actually react at all as the attack, hit, which gave her time to run over to where Minato had fallen. Souji looked rather relieved as Naoto made it over to Minato. He could only hope Minato was okay...
"Izanagi, Megidolaon!" Souji yelled. The Persona repeated the same action it had before. Souji winced as the spell was cast, though. He could feel the drain from that attack.
"Rokuten Maoh, Primal Force!" Kanji yelled out, smashing his card with not his fist, but with a piece of broken pillar he'd grabbed on the way into the temple. His Persona ran toward the Shadow and slammed down on it with its club with much in the way of force.

Lucius took a guess and allowed his vision to be that of a normal human. He could still make out the details of Adachi's face. The glasses as well, it would seem that Souji hadn't bothered retrieving his. Lucius was getting to his feet when he heard the rumble of thunder and a single rain drop hit his nose. He smirked and looked up at the fog-like clouds and black mist swirling together. It was rather like a maelstrom. While rain in the human world didn't mean rain in the TV World, it would seem there was some sort of set up here to create a parallel. He walked over to Adachi and put his hand on the man's shoulder.
"It's time to go, Tohru," he stated.
He waited for no response before a burst of what appeared to be flame swallowed them both. It was not a moment two soon, as several shadows surfaced just as they vanished. A few were killed by the flame that had no effect on Adachi or Lucius. Most were more concerned with advancing on the ruins.
----------
The shadows contained within Shadow Bakura's ankh had beens shifting as the next stage of the fight had happened. Nefertum's healing spell had come at the same instance Izanagi had fired its attack at the bull-like opponent. As soon as Jounouchi responded by moving, Yuugi jerked his head towards Minato. He thought he'd seen the blue haired teenager collapse. Atem looked nervous about Jounouchi's condition. Right now they couldn't really do much for the injured members of the group. He didn't know if anyone had a spell that could wake someone from being unconscious. He hadn't been unaware of Minato's condition. One of their strongest fighters was down. Right now they had to finish this. The former Pharaoh was turning back to the main fight when he noted something rising out of the shadowy mist at the monster's throat.
Izanagi's attack hit just as what appeared to be another falcon was rising from the inverted ankh. The half formed presence exploded into darkness, as did the one still pecking at the flesh of Shadow Bakura. The Shadow seemed pissed and looked as if it was going to repeat its attack from before, but Rokuten Maoh ran in and slammed onto the bull's head. It appeared to have done the most damage yet, and the bull sort of crumpled. It looked still, almost as if it was defeated, but it began to try to get to its feet. The distorted voice of the Shadow could be heard as it did so.
"That's right, it always turns out like this. That's why I have to die. I can't fight it when things oppose me..."
Yuugi was just sort of staring at Minato. Naoto was at his side, but the condition of everyone on the field... what was he supposed to do? He didn't think he could maintain both a Persona and a Ka. Atem tore his eyes away from Minato. This was horribly familiar. People falling all around him while he couldn't do anything worthwhile. This stirred up painful memories he didn't want anything to do with. But Shadow Bakura wasn't a demon, he could be defeated.
Jounouchi had gotten back to his feet with Yuugi's help. Yuugi had been about to ask him if he was okay, but he noticed Jounouchi was practically tearing through his deck. At the rate he was going, he was going to damage his cards. The short teenager turned towards Atem, and noticed the former Pharaoh was on the verge of panicking. Yuugi dug his hand into his own pocket and spread the fifteen cards inside into a large fan. He pushed one up with a finger and winced a bit as the Retrained Elf Swordsman appeared in front of him. Atem was more focused on ending the fight and silently issued another command to Ra. The beam of firey energy that shot down from the wide open roof was a dead hit and Shadow Bakura was obviously hurting. It didn't seem it would take much more to bring it down.
A clap of thunder could be heard. Due to the roof being blown off, the frightening combination of high fog and black mist could be seen as well. It was possible a few of the group would feel a raindrop or two. Even the non demons among the group would have their hairs standing on end for how close the Shadows were coming. Beyond that, the circular area the unconscious normal Bakura was laying over seemed to be opening... The rate of the stone meant they would have a few minutes, but no more before the teenager's body fell through. Given the arrival of rain and the weights on his ankles, it would now be painfully clear what the set up had been for the whole time...
"Bakura-kun!!" Yuugi shouted, realizing exactly then what the entire situation meant.
Anzu looked like she was handling the situation the least. She wasn't contributing and had taken a step backwards. Her hands were to her mouth. At this rate everyone was going to die...

Souji grimaced as the Shadow spoke. This was not uncommon with Shadows. But it didn't make it any better hearing it. He prepared to attack again as Atem gave another order to Ra.
And that had been when the first thunderclap came. For the first time, Souji was rather aware of the approaching shadows. And by aware, he was actually scared out of his mind. Had this been back in Inaba, he wouldn't have been worried about the Shadows. They would have had time. The fog never came until midnight, long after everyone came back from the TV world, their rescuee had been taken home, etc. But the island was different. The fog came sooner; they didn't have that time. And now, if they didn't hurry, Bakura would die, and not just because of the coming rain. Souji had not missed the slowly opening ground under him.
Even Uzume seemed worried. She wasn't dying here. Those humans needed to hurry it up; she was not dying here. "Hurry up and defeat that shadow! We don't have any time left!"
Naoto didn't need to be told. She stood up from where she was sitting next to Minato and pulled out her gun, shooting her tarot card and summoning her Persona. "Yamato-Takeru!" The Persona reached out and fired a Megidolaon at the Shadow at the same time as Souji did the same. Kanji ordered his Persona to repeat the same actions it had before, and Rokuten Maoh ran at Shadow Bakura, intending to bring its club down on its skull the same way it had before.

Fight or flight was kicking in hardcore for pretty much every member of the group. If they didn't run, they would die. If they did, Bakura would die. Yuugi's heart skipped a beat at that realization. He couldn't let either happen. He took a step forward, and it was his will alone that kept his summoned card in a shield position. He jerked his head towards Jounouchi, who had decided on a card and was seconds away from summoning it when Yuugi spoke. It was worth note he was no louder than he needed to be to be heard. It was almost eerie.
"Jounouchi-kun, summon Blue Flame Swordsman and put as much power from it as you can onto Ra," Yuugi turned back towards the Ka he had summoned. His voice shook a bit as he gave his order, "G-go get Bakura-kun, we don't have time!"
Atem had been preparing another attack when he heard Yuugi speak. It was almost eerie, because at the moment it almost sounded like himself. There were times when their voices were hard to distinguish, this was one of them and eerie was the best example for it. They weren't quite the same, Atem was observent enough to note that, but one would almost have to play them side by side to tell. After the order was given, Retrained Elf Swordsman was running forward towards Bakura. Jounouchi was staring at Yuugi in surprise. Anzu had stopped and blinked. In fact, it was pretty clear everyone that knew Yuugi was a bit surprised by the behavior. When Jounouchi didn't act, Yuugi turned to the blond. It was finally apparent it was still Yuugi, because his eyes were full of emotion and he looked like he was going to panic. A few tears of panic were welling up in his eyes.
"Jounouchi-kun, please! We don't have any time! I don't want to lose any of my friends!"
The panicked voice was far more Yuugi, and it was enough to kick Jounouchi out of his own head. He pulled out a card and held it up. What was summoned looked suspiciously like the Flame Swordsman he'd had earlier, just... more blue. The attacks from Souji and Naoto were hitting about the time that Retrained Elf Swordsman was halfway to the Shadow. The two Megidolaons hit Shadow Bakura from either side, and the bull was sent to its knees as it looked like the shadow mist at its neck was destroyed. The inverted ankh cracked. Rokuten Maoh brought its weapon down on the Shadow's skull, and it looked about ready to pass out.
"Hurry up and do what he said!" Jounouchi shouted at the Ka.
Blue Flame Swordsman held its sword in front of its face. Two fingers were held parallel to it. Honestly, it looked a bit like some kind of special move preparation. The Ka exploded in blue flame and Jounouchi fell to one knee, clutching his chest. Right, it was his energy, he was maintaining the damn thing. The energy gathered on the sword and shot towards the absent roof. The flame spiralled around Ra and its eyes shown with a blue light as it seemed to gain a flaming blue aura. Atem could feel the strength granted to the already powerful god being from the action. He turned towards Shadow Bakura as the Ka his Partner had summoned got to Bakura's side. It looked like Shadow Bakura wasn't going to have anything of interference, and it seemed to be using all its remaining energy to lift one of the muscular wings to bring it down on top of both Retrained Elf Swordsman and Bakura. While its ability meant it couldn't be destroyed like that, it wouldn't prevent the damage from being transferred to Yuugi or a rescue being prevented.
"Ra, now!"
Ra opened its beak-like jaws and a burst of divine light about twice as large as what it had given before came down on top of Shadow Bakura. It hit with a rather large explostion and parts of the ground were torn up. It looked like it was going to hit Retrained Elf Swordsman, but the Ka managed to grab Bakura's waist with one hand. The hole had opened enough to for the white haired teenager to fall through by this point, but some wellplaced footwork allowed Retrained Elf Swordsman to leap away just as that part of the ground pretty much vaporized from the powered up attack from Ra. It wasn't the only thing that vanished, as Shadow Bakura exploded into black mist. Atem clutched his chest and fell down to both knees as Ra vanished in a flash of extremely bright light. Shadow Bakura, back in "Bakura" form, was clearly unstable on his feet. He took a step back and fell into the pit that had been intended for Bakura, vanishing from sight.
"Atem-kun!"
"Uzume-san, get us out of here!" Yuugi shouted. The panic he had expressed before was now rather dominant, and even in Atem's weakened condition the illusion of who was who was a case of night and day. The rain had begun to fall in buckets, and Shadows were rushing out of the various entry ways. The people closest to the archway, which at the moment consisted mainly of Anzu, were clearly at the most risk. They quite literally had seconds...

The moment the Blue Flame Swordsman grabbed Bakura, Uzume started gathering her power. They had literally no time at all; the rain was falling too fast. If they didn't leave now, they'd all die. Uzume threw a fan toward the doorway Anzu was standing by, forming a forcefield between her and the shadows and quite possibly saving the girl's life before holding one glowing hand up in the air. There was a bright flash of light as everyone was teleported out of the TV World.
Minato was flung out first, landing on the tile floor and still very unconscious. Souji followed, managing to adjust his landing enough to avoid hitting Minato before pulling him out of the way of Naoto as she landed where he had been just moments before. Unfortunately, Naoto didn't move in time to avoid Kanji, who had just been roughly thrown out of the TV and ended up landing on top of her. The way they landed meant that Kanji landed on top of Naoto, with the two of them staring into each others faces. They both blushed before Naoto rather roughly shoved Kanji off.
"Th-That was far too close..." Naoto got out as she stood up.
"We were almost mincemeat," Kanji breathed.
"You're welcome," Uzume said from behind Souji, causing him to jump. Souji glared at her and went back to trying to wake Minato up, though it looked like he was pretty well out cold.

Well, he was doing like they'd said. Kenji Takahashi was accepting the facts that he was going crazy. Well, at least they had pills for that now. Even though Takahashi knew that Adachi had pushed him in after showing him that tape. Even though Takahashi knew what he'd seen in Onigafuchi Swamp was real. Even though Takahashi knew that Lucius kid had been intentionally trying to get him in trouble and then flashed those demonic eyes at him.
But finally, he calmed down. They let him go home. And now, Takahashi was sitting out on his porch, watching the storm. That Lucius kid hadn't been a demon... Everything was fine... (though Adachi was still a traitorous little fuck who had tried to kill him)
Takahashi jumped as he heard a noise from the side of the house. After willing his heartbeat down and giving a bit of a groan, Takahashi grabbed his umbrella and headed to investigate. What he found was a bruised, beaten, unconscious Adachi.
"God fucking dammit," Takahashi growled.

There was no illusion about Uzume's action saving Anzu's life. In fact, the fan she had thrown had nicked Anzu's face. A razor thin cut was under her left eye. The shield of energy managed to cut off the arm of a Shadow that had grabbed the bottom of her skirt. She screeched in surprise and was kicking at the severed arm. When she managed to finally hit it, it crushed under her like a sort of gel, bits squishing in either direction. Her face paled, but she was more concerned with the screaming. She was turning around just as her vision filled with the black and white rings signature of entering or leaving the TV World.
Anzu came out next, falling beside Naoto. It was thankfully to the opposite side of where the masculine girl had thrown Kanji. She had fallen in a way that pretty much guaranteed a panty shot to anyone standing in front of her. She seemed to realize this and despite clearly being sore jerked up and snapped her knees shut. She didn't look very comfortable, and she was blushing pretty badly. She looked up in time to see Jounouchi come out next. The teenager struggled to get to his feet, but it was clear he was more than a bit exhausted. Yuugi stumbled out, somehow or another managing to land about as well as Souji had. He waved his arms as he stumbled backwards, but managed to catch himself on a rack without knocking anything over. Anzu had struggled to her feet, but it was her dancer's dexterity that avoided Atem landing on top of her. He was breathing heavily as he pushed himself to his feet. Finally, and just as the ripples were dying, a familiar gold Ring came out of the television. It was with less force than the humans had come out, and as soon as it was out it fell to the floor with nothing in the way of ceremony. Yuugi walked over to it, despite the difficulty, and picked it up. He looked rather depressed as he hung his head for a moment. He looked towards the group.
"Bakura-kun's still trapped inside. I... I don't know why, but I can tell," he looked up and his eyes widened as he saw Minato, "Minato-kun!? Is he alright!?"

Souji looked down as Yuugi spoke. So, it had all been for nothing. He paused and looked back down at Minato, and then turned back toward Yuugi. "He's out cold, but other than that, I think he's okay."
He looked toward Kanji next. "Hey, Kanji, do you think you can get Minato back to his apartment?"
"H-Huh? Oh, yeah, sure..." Kanji said, standing up as he said so.
Naoto walked over to the Ring and picked it up by the rope. "Why didn't Bakura gain his own body like Atem did?"
"He never accepted his Shadow," Souji said. Which... wasn't entirely correct.
"Wait, what happened to Adachi?" Kanji asked. By this point, he was carrying Minato on his back, since that was the only real way to carry him at the moment. "Last I saw, that guy had gotten taken over by... some Shadow or somethin'."
"Lucifer appeared," Naoto said. "He forced Magatsu Izanagi out of Adachi's body and then sent us along. Adachi's likely either dead or was rescued from the TV World by Lucifer."
