Full Name: Tock Clockson
Nicknames: n/a
Age: Unknown (implied meaning: he’ll never say), appears to be about 11
Height: Average for his apparent age
Weight: 145 lbs
Gender: Male
Race: Clockwork Doll
Alliance: Neutral
Home: London, England (that’s his story and he’s sticking to it)
Franchise: n/a
Physical Description: In basic appearance and build, Tock looks like a middle schooler, being about the height and size of one, but nowhere near the weight of one. Simply put, he’s heavier than someone his apparent age should be. This is because he’s an incredibly lifelike appearing clockwork construct (unlike earlier ones made during the Renaissance era by the man known as “The Creator”, which were still very clearly inhuman), and his body is filled with clockwork instead of squishy human organs and brittle human bones. He has short grayish brown hair that covers his left eye. His eyes are brown, but they have a bit of a strange look to them due to how they don’t reflect light quite right. Even though he has no vision problems, he wears bifocals.
He wears several layers of clothing, with a black longsleeved undershirt on first, which he wears a white vest over. This white vest is left untucked in. He wears a normal belt with a rather large buckle. He also wears a pair of dark brown pants, which then tuck into a pair of black boots. On his hands he wears brown work gloves. Over all of this is a brown coat. Interestingly enough, this coat has a gear coming out of the right shoulder, but it’s just for show and don’t actually do anything. The coat is a different style from his brother Tick’s and is longer as well.
Weapons: Tock carries a cane, which can act as a makeshift weapon at times. The cane is topped with a fully working clock.
Abilities/Powers: Tock, when together with his brother Tick, can sense the unique rhythm and vibrations all things give off. Simply put, they can identify any object and person so long as they have seen it before. Coupled with this ability is an eidetic memory (AKA Photographic memory), so there’s no chance of him ever forgetting what he learned before. It is that eidetic memory that allows him to never forget the inherent rhythm someone gives off.
As a minor ability, he also has the ability to identify and recreate any note he hears without having an external reference to what it is. This is because he was actually supposed to be some kind of genius music performer, but ended up choosing to work with clocks instead.
Tock has a crippling weakness, though. The energy source that keeps his clockwork spinning and turning requires an energy exchange between two energy cores, one of which Tick has inside his body, and the other Tock has. If he’s not nearby his brother Tick, he eventually begins to shut down and basically go into a coma state. The furthest they can be from each other is about five miles. After that, he starts running on whatever energy reserves he has left. If he’s lucky, these energy reserves can go nearly three days.
Skills: Tock, like his brother, is extremely skilled at building objects from clockwork as well as repairing it. In fact, he’s the one who built Warren’s time-stopping pocketwatch.
Personality: Tick and Tock have very similar personalities, though they have rather distinct mannerism differences. Of the two, Tock is more quiet and subdued. He’s a bit of a trickster and a conman, and has no problem with conning people out of their money. He tends to go absolutely gaga over technology, though, ESPECIALLY complicated bits he could never build himself if he tried.
History: Tick and Tock were created by a man in London who was wanting to create a catalog on all things on Earth. The idea was that they would remember everything they ever saw and eventually catalog everything on Earth over the centuries that passed, acting as a sort of travelling library. The problem was, not only was this idea inherently flawed to begin with, but their creator died before he actually finished their construction. This was what led to the twins discovering they had such a knack with clockwork; they actually had to finish building themselves on their own.
After many years of conning people out of their money, Tick and Tock “earned” enough money to buy themselves a little shop for building various things out of clockwork and clockwork repairs. And continuing to con people out of their money, too. They like doing that.
When Warren, a regular customer of theirs (due to the fact his time-stopping watch broke… a LOT (which probably had something to do with the fact that he’d gotten it commissioned from Tick and Tock, and we’ve already been over how they like conning people)), had a seal placed on him, Tick and Tock confronted Alexander, the maker of the seal about it. Alexander only shrugged and said he did what he needed to, which led Tick and Tock to cry “bullshit” and head to the Dimensional Island to track down Warren. There may have been other customers, but dammit that was a damn good piece of clockwork they’d built for him and they were not letting it be wasted on a powerless rabbit.
Other: Over the years, Tick and Tock have gotten a fair amount of commissions and built a fair amount of not-entirely-harmless objects, such as Warren’s time-stopping pocketwatch and a few elemental keys that operated by clockwork. The designs for the keys weren’t their own, though. In fact, the original buyer gave them the specific designs on how to do so. The same customer had previously bought some clockwork prosthetics from them. Interestingly enough, the customer was a child when they first met him, and hadn’t aged at all between commissions, even though nearly twenty years had passed.
