"Atem-kun, Yuugi!" Anzu ran up to the two teenagers and put her hands on her knees. She let out some pants, "Its about Mochizuki-san and Minato-kun, right?"
"I still don't understand half of what's going on," Jounouchi said, coming up to the back of the group, "But I'm sure they're okay. Cheer up, Yuugi. You'll drag us all down."
"...thanks, Jounochi-kun."
Atem looked towards Minato's door, "Minato-kun isn't the type to give up, and we all heard Ryoji's voice there. I'm sure he's alive, but we won't know unless we go."
Teddie looked over to Souji. The group seemed to be waiting for him to go. Atem gave a concerned look at the silver haired teenager for a moment. He was convinced now something was wrong in regards to Izanagi. The god hadn't shown himself during the entire fight, and Souji hadn't shown signs of anything remote to god like power. Right now though, Minato and Ryoji were the most important.
----------
Seth looked away. Optimistic? Could they really be that? Optimism was a trait Seth had long abandoned. The glass wasn't half empty, it was shattered. He realized it was possible he had looked away too long and looked up at the same point Abel did. Seth shook his head and spoke a bit gravely. In fact, it was a bit dark considering who it was.
"I'm not mad about Enjin. I wanted you to kill him," Seth was speaking rather matter of fact. He clenched his fists, "He better hope its someone other than me that finds him again."
----------
Ryoji gave a weak grin at Minato's comment. It was for the better. He didn't know how he'd come up in a medical exam, but he wasn't Death anymore. He wasn't an avatar anymore. He'd once insisted he was Ryoji Mochizuki, and that was now true. He looked somehow relieved as Minato continued.
"Eight more days," Ryoji had counted on his fingers as he responded. Something seemed to click into place and he looked up at Minato with the first honestly playful grin he'd had since before remembering what he was. He leaned forward a bit, causing their chests to just touch, "I assume there's a reason for asking?"

Abel looked away as Seth spoke. Seth wanted him to kill Enjin... Abel didn't blame Seth for thinking that way. Enjin had killed Nirad, the closest thing Seth had to a friend. Abel hadn't noticed how distant Atsuro had gotten, and even though he acted friendly to Seth, there were hints of jealousy there. Abel supposed that was his fault.
Abel shook his head. "I wasn't thinking clearly last night. And I don't have much control over myself. You know that. I might have killed Enjin, but what would have kept a fully demon me from attacking you all?"
---------------
Souji caught Atem's concerned look. What was that about? Deciding to ask about it later, he started walking over to Minato's apartment.
----------------
Minato blushed as Ryoji leaned forward and turned his head away. "D-Don't look at me like that. I just thought we might be able to spend Christmas together, that's all." He turned toward Ryoji. "You don't mind, right?"
Before he could get an answer to that, there was a knock at the door. "I bet 500 yen that's Souji and the others. I'll get it."
He walked out of the kitchen and opened the front door. "Yes?"
"Good morning," Souji said. His face said anything but. "I see you're alive and awake."
"And you still look like you need another twelve hours," Minato teased. "Ryoji's inside."
Souji got a relieved look on his face, but other than that, he wasn't visibly reacting much. Well, it had been what he'd expected, though he expected the others would react a lot more than that.

Seth winced as Abel said the last line. Because quite honestly the same thoughts had occurred to him the night before. The worst part of it all is it didn't make him change his feelings. If Abel had killed Enjin, his only regret would have been how easy it was. He turned away from Abel without responding. What was he turning into here? He couldn't hold in a few dark chuckles. He frowned as he managed to taper them off.
"I'm sorry..."
----------
Ryoji had a hand lifted towards Minato, his mouth not moving for the response just yet, when there was a knock at the door. He gave a solid jerk and pulled back quickly, that blush Minato had shown creeping onto his own cheeks. His attempt to tuck his head into the scarf failed for how tight he had wrapped it, and he was a bit grateful Minato hadn't turned around when he gave his hypothetical bet and walked off. He began to pull at his scarf to loosen it.
"Mochizuki-kun is okay?" Yuugi said in an excited an altogether relieved voice.
"That means... we really did! Sensei, we did it!"
"May we come in?" Anzu asked, "I mean, if you don't mind? We haven't met Mochizuki-san yet, after all."
Ryoji carefully stepped over the pans after straightening his scarf. He made sure the rest of his route was clear before coming out of the kitchen. Due to height differences, Jounouchi was able to seem him before his group. Souji probably had a pretty good chance as well being in the front as he was.
"Yo, you Ryoji?"
"I don't think we've really met..." Ryoji said with a grin, "Uh, Mochizuki Ryoji."
"Jounouchi Katsuya," Jounouchi gave a grin. He winced as Anzu elbowed him, managing to keep a polite smile the whole time, "...and this is Mazaki Anzu..."

Abel looked even more concerned as Seth began to give a few chuckles. The last time Seth had chuckled like that had been when he'd nearly broken. Abel finally relaxed a bit as the laugh stopped, and looked away as Seth apologized.
"It's okay. It's not like I can blame you for thinking like that... it's Enjin's fault Nirad died, after all," Abel said. He turned to open his room's door before pausing and looking back toward Seth.
"You don't have to stay in Cain's room anymore if you don't want to. I don't mind if you go back to staying in mine," Abel said.
---------------------
"Oh, yeah, come on in," Minato said, and moved out of the way of the doorway. Souji saw Ryoji coming out of the kitchen before most of the rest of the group did. He noted that Ryoji was wearing pretty much the same thing he'd been wearing the last time he'd seen him.
While Jounouchi, Anzu, and Ryoji introduced themselves, Souji stepped to the side, and caught sight of a glint of metal on the floor. "Minato, why are there a bunch of pans on your kitchen floor?"
"Long story," Minato said. He looked around at the group. No one had to die this time. Ryoji had been able to live. They'd stopped the Fall, and it hadn't even taken a Seal to do it. Right now, Minato felt like the happiest man on earth.

Seth didn't look back or say anything. He could blame him for it, and he probably should. There was a level of wanting an outward punishment for the feelings inside. He looked up in surprise as Abel offered to let him return to the room. This was the opposite of the reaction he wanted, it was as if Abel was putting all the blame on himself. He chewed his lip for a moment before looking up. His eyes were a bit more focused... really, they only ever focused that much around Cain and Abel anymore.
"I'm fine with Cain..." he broke eye contact, possibly a result of training when it came to Abel, even when he was more Keiichi than not, "We do get along pretty well..."
----------
Ryoji had raised an eyebrow at the name Jounouchi had mentioned. As Minato moved to the side and the group filtered in, Ryoji stepped forward and held out a hand to Anzu, grinning. She blinked and looked down at the hand, seemingly confused. Atem and Yuugi both stopped just inside the door way and looked at each other before giving Minato a puzzled expression.
"You don't have to be so formal with my name," Ryoji said, "First name's fine, Anzu-chan."
"Ah, um... I'm not... really..."
"Wait, I thought Ryoji-kun liked Minato-kun?"
Anzu's eyes had widened and she'd jerked her head up towards Minato. Wait, if that was the case then why was...? The exact words Teddie had used could be friendship, some kind of best friends thing but the context felt all wrong. Jounouchi had paused about halfway to the kitchen and looked back at the group. Anzu was standing very uncomfortably, and Yuugi and Atem had looked like they'd winced.
"Uh... what?" he managed to say.

Abel looked away. It was so obviously a front. He closed his eyes before looking back up at Seth.
"Alright. I'm going to be heading out in a bit," Abel said. He was going to do a little bit of looking around town... check up on a few things.
----------------
Minato hadn't been too concerned with what Ryoji was doing up until the point where he started very blatantly hitting on Anzu. And then, just to add the icing to the cake, Teddie made his comment. Souji covered his face with his hand, but he was actually chuckling while he was facepalming. Minato had a visible eyetwitch.
Minato walked over to Ryoji and grabbed his ear before starting to drag him away from Anzu. "You have no self control."
Souji gave a laugh. "Looks like things never change around here."

Teddie was looking around confused with the reactions. One could almost see Jounouchi replaying the conversation in his head. Anzu had managed to get a blush by this point. She couldn't help but feel like a sideshow attraction here. And Ryoji had done it in front of Yuug too! She was in the middle of feeling very exposed when Minato walked over and grabbed Ryoji by his ear, pulling him away.
"Hey, Minato! Minato, that hurts! Minato!!" Ryoji wasn't able to put up much of a fight. The way his face was contorted was rather humorous, though.
"Anzu...?"
"I-I'm fine, Yuugi!"
"So... you two are actually...?"
"Jounouchi-kun, it's none of your concern," Atem stated.
"I'm not judging it! I just want to know!"
Anzu finally relaxed and gave a sort of friendly glare towards Ryoji. With that, Yuugi found himself able to relax as well. The worry faded to a smile and he felt a slight chuckle coming up. Atem looked away from Jounouchi and gave a smile wider than he was almost ever known for and began chuckling as well. Anzu was smiling, Jounouchi still looked mildly annoyed but he couldn't help but smile either.
They'd done it.
