Time had passed since the Fall and the Dark Hour, and no one seemed to even remember it had existed. Enjin wasn't sure if it was because of the general oddness of the island, but no one seemed to remember that odd space of time that occurred at midnight. Not even Gin, who had only been awake during that time.
However, Enjin knew that he'd lurked outside that tower for a reason that night. Half of it was because he felt that he needed to harass the Court of Bel more, but the other half was the fact that entire group had basically been focused on something important called the "Fall" that was supposed to occur there that night. But when the Fall finally came, nothing important happened, at least as far as Enjin could tell.
It looked like it was time to pay a visit to the girl with the dragon in her soul. For the week, he'd taunted her, but finally he was going to pay that visit he'd promised to do. And how he was doing it was walking right up to the front door and ringing the doorbell.
Not like anyone would even see him. No one would even think about, hear, or see the people in Kisa's house for the next hour. It was 11 PM now. So long as he played his cards right, nothing would go wrong...

For two days, Kisa had felt off somehow. She couldn't put her finger on it, as if it were one of those things that the more you thought about it, the further it slipped away. She was looking for someone named Akina. She wasn't even sure why. She'd managed to force her memory to connect it to that Enjin figure, but she knew she wouldn't be trying to help him, right? Something involving looking for that Akina had taught Enjin her address, and she'd been fretting over it. She'd been in the hospital recently for exhaustion, but she couldn't remember anything about exhausting herself. It was all very frustrating. She'd tried to look for Akina more, but as far as she could tell he wasn't on the Island. That was more than a bit possible.
The first night after the Fall, she had stayed up until Midnight. She wasn't sure quite why. Nothing worth note had happened, so she had gone to sleep as well as she could. It wasn't very well merely because she was still worried about Enjin. She knew the man was playing with her, but that didn't mean she could drop her guard. She was a slight bit frazzled due to the combination of justified paranoia and memories on the tip of her tongue. But she was asleep now. Or had been until the door bell rang, those conditions not doing well for a solid sleep.
Her first thought was one of confusion. She lay in bed and rubbed her eyes with one hand. There was darkness coming through the window. Kisa managed to sit up and press the backlight on her watch, staring at the screen blankly as her mind read the time. It was eleven at night, and she wasn't sure why anyone would be ringing the bell at eleven at night. She stared at the clock for a few more minutes when she realized what one of the options were. She threw her covers off and was running towards the living room, her thick pale blue nightgown almost tripping her. She didn't seem to care.
"Mom, don't answer that!"
Tsuki heard Kisa shout something, but wasn't entirely sure what. She shook her head and turned the door handle. Mamoru was still in bed. The man hadn't even heard the doorbell ring in his conscious mind. He knew Tsuki would answer it. The pale blond had pulled on a bed jacket. She was dressed similarly to Kisa, actually. The only difference was the white nightgown had a pale grey bedjacket pulled over it. She blinked at the man on her doorstep.
"I'm sorry, do you have the right address...?"

Enjin only continued to smirk as Kisa's mother opened the door. He knew it was her mother, despite the obvious resemblances; Too old to be Kisa. He took a step into the doorway, still keeping eye contact with Tsuki as he stepped in.
"I'd say I do," Enjin said. "I hope you don't mind that I'm letting myself in." He grabbed the side of Tsuki's head, and then shoved her into a wall, actually putting a small crater in the drywall. He released the woman and stepped in, not even bothering to close the door behind him. He stopped in the hallway and looked back at Tsuki.
"Your daughter's been a naughty girl. How much has she told you about what's really been happening with her life over the past month?" Enjin asked. There was a fair bit of mocking in his voice. "For example, there's that stalker of hers. Ever since he first found out about her, he hasn't been able to think about anything but her. But instead of telling him to go away like any smart girl would, she's actually encouraging him."

Tsuki looked confused as Enjin confirmed he did. She wasn't fond of his smirk, but she hadn't thought he had the right address. She frowned as Enjin stated he was letting himself in, but there wasn't much a chance for further reaction as the man had grabbed her head and slammed her into the wall. The surprise was too much for a scream, but her body locked up a bit and she didn't seem stable on her feet. She grabbed her head from reflex and gave a lost look of fear and panic towards the man. Why was this person she had never met coming into her home and...
'I'm just really worried that something bad might happen. Mom, you have to promise me you'll keep an eye out! Be careful!'
Kisa had warned her to be careful. Her daughter had been frightened about something but hadn't been willing to go into detail. She'd been away from home more than usual lately. Tsuki looked up and her eyes widened as the attacker continued. A stalker? Encouraging? The woman knew to take everything this man was taking as a potential lie, but she had to admit it wasn't impossible. Her husband was sometimes a bit protective, and if Kisa thought it would get back to him she might have kept it hidden. But where did her attacker fit into all of this...?
Kisa came barreling out of the side room and into the hall. Her already pale skin was now better described as ivory as she saw Enjin and her mother.
"Mom!" she looked at Enjin, and she radiated fear. Any fool could see the worry in her eyes.
----------
Mamoru rolled over in his sleep, and started awake. Tsuki wasn't there. He thought for a moment and was able to remember the doorbell on the edge of his consciousness. How long had it been? He grabbed his watch and looked at the time. A few minutes, it probably wasn't anything to worry about...
But the man wasn't one who dealt in probablys. He got up and threw on some clothes. Black pants and a navy shirt, not of his suit. It wouldn't hurt anything to check.

Enjin only gave a wider smirk as Tsuki gave the expected response. He'd been right; Kisa hadn't told any of them about the stalker, but she had told her mother to be careful for some unspecified reason. He looked up as Kisa practically barreled into the room and started walking toward her. The girl was quite literally white as a sheet with how pale she was.
"It's been a while, Kisa-chan," Enjin said as he walked toward Kisa. "Almost a week."
He only stopped walking once he was right in front of Kisa. He practically towered over her. He put one hand on the wall as he leaned forward to look right into Kisa's eyes. "You didn't find Akina. I thought you were eager to help Gin."
Enjin was completely aware of the fact Kisa's father was approaching. All the better that all three members of the household be here to hear this.

Here she was again, unable to get her feet to move. Why did this man always cause that reaction? Even worse, this time it put her mother in danger. Even a step back would have been helpful, but her legs just wouldn't respond. The expression on her face was a combination of worried, panicked, and absolutely terrified. Tsuki's eyes widened in horror as Enjin began to approach her daughter. She slowly moved away from the wall and kneeled down, grabbing a shoe while down there.
"P-p-please... leave us alone...."
And then Enjin mentioned Gin. For a second confusion crossed Kisa's face and thoughts. She knew she was looking for Akina, but she didn't know anyone named Gin! No, that wasn't quite right was it? Wasn't there things that she was sure she had forgotten? But it didn't connect anywhere. The name didn't make any of those feelings go away. Still, she knew she needed to find Akina and that it was related to Enjin. She finally managed to get a step backwards, but a flick of the eyes betrayed Tsuki's movements as the woman threw the hard soled shoe at Enjin's head. The aim was good, but the man wouldn't even need Sattelite to expect something behind him.
----------
Mamoru pushed open the door to the bedroom. Things seemed quiet, which actually managed to concern him. If Tsuki was busy with a visitor, there should be talking. He couldn't hear any. He frowned and quickly walked towards the front of the house, bordering a trot. He came out just as Tsuki was releasing the shoe.
"Who the hell are you!?" Mamoru shouted. He noted the position of his family and his thoughts were not of kind things in relation to what he was going to do to Enjin.

Enjin scowled at Kisa's thoughts. She didn't remember him. Enjin knew Gin had spoken with Kisa before. Her memories that he'd read back then had been proof of that. Her memories over the past week had been proof of that. So why...?
Enjin knew the shoe was coming without even needing to read Tsuki's mind. Kisa's flick of the eyes had been enough. He reached up and grabbed it before it could hit his head. It had been at that point Mamoru had come out, and Enjin smirked at the man. So many unkind thoughts.
"My name is Hiizumi Enjin. Your daughter promised she would help me find someone," Enjin said. His voice still had that mocking tone as he spoke. "Tell me, Mamoru Shiroi, do you know what your daughter has been doing behind your back?"

"Dad, help!"
Kisa dropped to the ground. She hadn't actually figured out at any point that Enjin could read minds, so it was a justifiable reaction. Tsuki was reaching for another shoe as Kisa dropped. Mamoru had heard what Enjin had said, but he'd bounced it off his shoulders and grabbed an umbrella from a storage bin in the hall. He clearly looked like he was going to beat Enjin with it.
"I don't want to hear the lies who can't even respect the boundaries of another's home!" Mamoru growled, "Get the hell away from my family!"
The thoughts made it clear he had no intentions of letting Enjin go. If Enjin actually listened to the man, he'd still beat him. Beat him and call the cops and let them deal with the wolf-eared man.

Enjin only gave a wider smirk as Mamoru reached for an umbrella. Well, he supposed that made a workable makeshift weapon. But Enjin didn't even seem concerned as he dropped the shoe Tsuki had thrown at his head and put his hands in his pockets.
"They won't come. Even if you call the police, I've interfered with everyone within a five-kilometer radius of this home. No one will see or even think of this building or the people inside it," Enjin stated. This hadn't been the first time Kisa would have experienced one of his little interferences. After all, the first time had been when he was at that cafe that one time.

Years on the island had forced Mamoru to come to term with many things. While he had never not believed in the supernatural, it had been a hypothetical situation. On the Island, had had come to accept it as a commonly manifesting fact. It didn't mean he approved of Kisa's sensitivity nor encouranged it, but he knew it existed. The man before him had wolf ears, and while what most called "cat boys" were seen from time to time on the Island, he was willing to accept what Enjin was saying. However...
"Then I'll just have to kill you," Mamoru growled, "Get the hell away from my family!"
"Mamoru-san, calm down! Kisa-chan, get out of here!" Tsuki stated. She threw another shoe at Enjin. Right now, she was more concerned about Kisa than anything else. She had to protect her daughter.

Enjin sidestepped the thrown shoe and backed back into the main room, where he'd have more room to maneuver. He gave a smirk and his ears began to sparkle with electricity again as he set up another illusion. The illusionary Enjin remained standing in the room while he moved behind Tsuki.
And then, just to screw with their heads a bit, Enjin dropped the illusion around himself while keeping up the other illusion, and then grabbed Tsuki and put a knife to her throat.
"If you don't want your little wife to get hurt, I'd stand down, Mamoru," both Enjins spoke.

Tsuki's worry increased as Enjin dodged again. He hadn't been looking at her, and Kisa had scooted away at her mother's command. She was closer to Mamoru now, which made her safer but the problem remained.
Kisa was running through all the options in her head. She had to come up with some way to save her family! That dragon... she remembered summoning it, but she wasn't quite sure how she'd managed it. And she didn't want to damage the house, she didn't want to risk missing and passing out. What would the man do to her family if she passed out? Why was he even doing this!? She knew she hadn't agreed to look for Akina for Enjin, but she couldn't remember who Gin was. How was Gin related to Enjin and why was that relation causing him to attack them!?
Mamoru had begun to take steps towards Enjin as he moved to the main room. He'd stepped rather protectively in front of Kisa. The main room was arranged in a way that didn't allow escape. If the doorway could remain blocked, he could kill the man. The real Enjin slipped past Mamoru just as he stepped into the doorway, but Enjin then reappeared behind Tsuki. She gasped at the sudden grab and a knife being held to her throat.
"Mom!!"
Mamoru stopped and jerked his head back as Enjin spoke. His eyes widened and his did a double take between the two speaking presences. A clone? The monster could clone itself! He clenched the umbrella tighter for a moment, but that knife blade was so close to Tsuki's throat... Mamoru was panicking internally, and his face was that of a trapped animal. He dropped the umbrella and looked at Kisa, Tsuki, and then Enjin.
"Dammit, what are you after!?" Mamoru got out, trying to sound tough but only sounding panicked.
"L-leave them alo-alone! P-p-lease!" Kisa shouted, tears beginning to go up in her eyes and making her voice shake.
What was he going to do...? Torture, murder.... rape? She shook her head at the thought and covered her face as the tears fell. Why? That was the dominant thought in her mind. Why was he doing this? Any fighting back could get her parents killed. What could she do? What?

Enjin gave a wide grin. There we go. It had taken Mamoru long enough, after all. He pressed the knife just a little closer to Tsuki's throat, enough to cause a small cut to form.
"Right now, I'm just curious about a few things. You're the one who took it into a step further with trying to murder me," the dual Enjins said. "There are a few questions I could ask, but right now the main one is why don't you remember the events of that odd space of time at midnight?" He was looking right at Kisa as he said that.

Tsuki jerked a bit as the blade was pressed into her throat. She didn't realize it, but it was actually in part to Enjin's grip that the cut wasn't worse. He wasn't trying to kill her, after all, just make a point. She relaxed a bit after the initial sharp pain. Not to say she wasn't still quite tense, but it was in a way that less endangered her life. She was swallowing as little as she could, as doing so pressed her throat a bit more towards the blade.
What did you expect! You came in hear and attacked my family! Just don't kill her... please, I couldn't take that. Dammit, what kind of man am I!? How could I even let this happen!? I'll kill you if you give me the chance, gods help me I will. Right now all I can do is just stand here and take this... what do you want... Kisa, what caused this? Is it something you couldn't come to me about? I'm your father, I'm supposed to protect you! Dammit!!
Mamoru was clenching his teeth. There was a rather large amount of anger in his eyes and aura, but he was worried about his wife and daughter. His thoughts pretty much said it all. Kisa looked up as Enjin asked his question, and even through the tearing eyes you could see her confusion. Tsuki looked at her daughter with a concerned expression, and Mamoru was looking at her as well. She let out a few more sobs and shook her head.
"I d-don't know wh-wh-what you're talking abou-about!" Kisa sobbed, "I s-swear I'd tell you if I d-did! I don't know anyone named Gin!"
Her thoughts said the same thing, there was no lie. The only difference was that she felt like she should know. Those holes, those things she couldn't explain... she squeezed her eyes shut and shook her head. Her family was going to be killed because she couldn't fill them in!

Nothing had jogged her memory, not even her parents being in danger. Enjin frowned, and then sighed. He released Tsuki, and then kicked her away from him. "I see. I thought since you could actually be active during that strange time, you might remember it and Gin, but you're just like the rest now. Not only that, but..." The other Enjin mentioned toward a clock on the mantle.
"It's past midnight. If it had really occurred, I'd be able to sense it in your thoughts. It would seem that whatever that 'Fall' thing was ended that odd space of time," Enjin spoke to himself.
He smirked and turned to leave, the illusionary Enjin following behind him. After a moment he paused and turned around. "I'd recommend you find Akina. If you don't, I might just decide to take your body instead..."
With one last chuckle, he headed for the door, the illusionary Enjin finally disappearing... or so it looked, anyways.
