Physical Description: Max looks like he stepped out of the 50's. He wears a leather jacket, blue jeans, and has slick, greased back hair. He tends not to wear his Psychonaut uniform, although he does enjoy wearing Psychonauts-approved 'sunglasses' (The Psychonaut Agency approves its agents wearing things that look badass.)
Weapons: He's a blade-man, man!
Abilities/Powers: Max is a psychic prodigy who graduated from the rank of PSICadet at the tender age of two years ago. He is a talented telepath and is especially proficient with PSI-Blasts.
Skills: He plays the harmonica. Fuck off.
Personality: Max is a brash, violent person who isn't good with personal relationships. He likes to view things as simply as possible, and doesn't like extra details complicating things. He has an intense hatred of cowardice, whether it be from him or others, and absolutely loathes the prospect of running away.
History: Max was raised by his single father in downtown Manhattan. His father was a Psychonaut who had been wounded and forced into retirement. He had several relationships, marrying three different women before Max turned twelve. He left the child-rearing to them and largely ignored Max.
Max, desperate for any kind of attention from his father and with no constant mother figure in his life, began to get into fights at school. During his first fight, he seriously wounded the other child using his psychic powers. His father hit him for losing control. Max saw this as a way to come in contact with his father and began to devolve into a hothead so that his father would hit him.
Max graduated from Whispering Rock quickly. He became a PSI-Cadet, travelling with agents and getting on-the-job experience. He met and entered into a relationship with another PSI-cadet, Yolanda, roughly six months ago. The two's relationship quickly devolved due to Max's physical violence and Yolanda's emotional and mental manipulation.
It's safe to say that Max isn't happy with the relationship. But he can't run away. That's something a coward would do.
