Zero blinked. It was clear he was surprised by Kaito. It was both his speed and behavior, but as he saw the Vocaloid turning managed to get his expression back to normal. He felt grateful he could answer this honestly, "No, I don't."
He wasn't aware other programs could be this off balance. He'd heard of humans that were, but he'd never encountered any. The mere exposure to other sentient programs had been a bit of a surprise. He glanced up at the others and gestured to Kaito, "I wouldn't piss him off."
It seemed as much a warning as anything else. He knew the Vocaloids could bleed, and found blood messy. He also didn't think it would be much appreciated by the owners of the mall if a bloodfest occured.
As Kaito practically flew forward, Gakupo jerked backwards. Even with his speed he still got clipped, the tassel-like end to his right ponytail hitting the floor. He glanced at Luka, "I don't think we should approach him, Luka.." his voice held concern. He had never in his wildest nightmare expected Kaito to snap quite like this. And with the speed he wasn't even aware the blue-haired Vocaloid had, he didn't think Luka could do anything. He didn't want to see her hurt...

Kaito smiled. "Good. I want you to look at me and no one else. You will do this, won't you?"
The program was very much unstable. The fact that he was simultaneously protecting and making threats towards Zero was proof enough. In fact, he was acting very yandere.
Which was freaking Luka out. She had never seen this side of him. The fact that he was using a line very similar to his song where he went very murderous was even worse.
As it was, though, she couldn't leave him here. She didn't want him to end up deleted or anything like that. He was still her friend.
"I can knock him out if you distract him." She glanced at Zero. He was a problem too.

Zero took a step back, not quite sure how to answer the program. This was worse than the fangirls. What made it more unsettling was that the data seemed to be settling out, almost as if the way the program had been acting before was wrong, or that it had accepted some error as natural. Zero's eyes flicked to Gakupo and Luka before going back to Kaito, looking him in the eye and narrowing his gaze.
"I won't stop my purpose for you, but if you don't consider deleting things as looking at them, sure," if the program wanted to become a fanatical obsessive fanboy, he wouldn't chase it away. Besides, its fervor over killing for Zero seemed useful...
However, he had a strong suspicion his reaction was going to earn him a knife. If that happened, he'd dissipate into data, making sure to infect Kaito as he fled. Not that the program seemed capable of being broken much more. The goal would be deletion.
As it were, he had gotten over his initial freakout and back into manipulative mode.
Gakupo glanced at Zero, who returned his gaze for a moment with a glare. The violet haired Vocaloid scowled, Luka was right. They couldn't leave Kaito like this. But there was another nagging concern. With how badly he'd snapped, he wasn't sure he could recover. Especially since Zero seemed to be feeding his psychosis. He hated to admit it, but...
"I don't think we can take them," he got into a stance ready to grab Luka and pull her away if he had to. The amount of forking that would result would be painless compared to losing her to Zero, or worse, Kaito. However, it might have appeared a little much like a battle stance for Kaito's already damaged systems...

"Ah." Kaito surpressed an angry look, and it made him stall long enough for Luka to jump in and kick the knife out of his hand before swinging her foot around to knock him to the ground, knocking him out cold
"Dammit, Gakupo, we don't have time to argue about this!" Luka yelled. "Cover me, I'm getting Kaito out of here!" With that, she picked him up and onto her back, essentially giving him a piggyback ride. If it weren't for the circumstances, this would be incredibly humorous.

Miku still wasn't talking. The thoughts going through her head at the moment were horrible ones, all centering on Zero having done something to Kaito. Her hands were stuck over her mouth.
"Oh my god..."

Gakupo quickly cut between Luka and Zero, his actions giving her the answer she needed. Zero had seen Kaito's expression and was half a second away from taking his viral form when Luka made her move. He scowled and pushed Gakupo away, making sure his bare hand touched Gakupo's face. It caused a slight nosebleed, and a small surge of data came out of his hands the same instant he finally took his viral form and fled into the systems. Gakupo fell over from what should have been a mild annoyance, what had looked like a small shove. He held his face, attempting to scream but only the garbled sound of a broken speaker coming out for a moment before completely cutting off. The cut off seemed to make the pain go away, and got to his feet and limped after Luka. To those paying attention to his back ponytail, however, there seemed to be a small amount of digital distortion dancing over it... (OOC: Yes, he does indeed have a virus but I have no plans to let it kill him. X3 I'm not goinna spoil exactly how it'll effect things, but I DO have plans.  ) |

Rin and Len just saw at how Zero disappeared. "Gakupo! Are you okay?" Len yelled out as Gakupo made way.

Luka turned around, and screamed, dropping the unconcious Kaito to the ground (which probably wasn't helping him any). "Gakupo?! What's going on?" The sudden cut out of his voice was bad enough. The fact that he was now limping and there were bits of distortion dancing around his body was even worse. Luka was panicking.
"What happened?! He-he just barely touched you, and then you-" Luka said, her voice filled with fear and panic uncharacteristic of her.
Miku ran over to Gakupo and Luka, and then looked down at Kaito before kneeling next to him.
"Kaito...?" she asked nervously.

Len and Rin ran over to Gakupo and looked at the distortions worriedly seeing that it seems he had a virus.

Gakupo looked down at his hands as a bit of data danced over them. Crap, he hadn't realized it would be this obvious. He straightend up and forced a smile towards Luka and opened his mouth to reassure her. The mouth moved. No sound came out. His eyes widened and he held his throat. It didn't hurt... but it didn't change the lack of sound. He felt the panic rising and quickly turned away from Luka. He didn't want to worry her more than he already had.
...Yeah. Like not worrying her more was even POSSIBLE. Whatever the issue, his voice seemed to have been lost. If anyone snuck up they would see his mouth moving. He was trying to get some sound out so he could assure Luka he was fine, but it wasn't working...

This just made Luka start crying even more. "Oh my god, Gakupo..." She was slipping into English as she said this. Gratuitous English. It wasn't even well said Gratuitous English. It was like a really bad programmer had gotten their hands on a Vocaloid program.
"It is all my fault I am so sorry Gakupo..." Luka said. She held onto Gakupo's hand, the same one she'd forked earlier.
Miku was still kneeling next to Kaito, lightly shaking him. She seemed broken. This latest revelation had been enough to shake her very, very badly.

Rin and Len didn't know what to do at this point, so Rin tried to brush away Gakupo's distortions and Len went to try and wake Kaito up.

Gakupo looked rather pained as Luka grabbed his hand. Damn, this was making her worry. Under other circumstances it might have seemed sweet, but he just felt bad about the whole situation. And in general, it felt better last time Rin had run him over with her Road Roller. His hand was rather sore but he managed not to flinch as Luka grabbed it. He turned and made a coughing like gesture, although without the ability to make sound it looked rather odd. He pointed towards the exit, and mouthed that they needed to get out of there. He hoped she could read his lips. He didn't feel well and was partially grateful he couldn't speak, as doing so would have likely lead to him explaining his symptoms. He felt very ill, and it was almost as if he could feel the virus in his body trying to eat at his symptoms. The distortions seemed to shatter as Rin touched them, but they continued to dance across various places of Gakupo's body. It was then that a thought occured to him and he forcefully pushed Luka away. His eyes were now full of fear. What if it was contagious? What if he had given it to Luka? He held up his hand to try and indicate that he didn't want them coming near him, trying to look apologetic towards Luka at the same time... (OOC: No, its not contagious. But dramatic irony applies here. ) |

Luka wiped away some tears. She had obviously gotten the message, and was now standing up. "We need to go. That virus--Zero-- might still be hanging around. Miku--"
Miku was still staring at Kaito, tears streaming from her face. Luka walked over to her, and put a hand on the girl's shoulder.
"Miku, we need to go. We can help Kaito later," Luka said. Miku didn't move a muscle.
Great. One near catatonic girl, one insane boy, and one voiceless thing. This was turning out to be a great day for the Vocaloids.

Rin and Len put a arm of Kaito's around one of their shoulders and stood next to Luka. "You think they'll be okay?" Rin asked quietly.
