Full Name: Sir Growlington (woe to whoever calls him this)
Nicknames: Blazer, Blaze, Egomaniac, Narcissus, Mr. Pride
Age: 28 in human years
Height: 6'9''
Weight: 401 pounds
Gender: Male
Race: Arcanine
Alliance: Chaotic Neutral with hints of Chaotic Evil
Home: We was born in the Kanto region, but now he lives in the Orre region
Franchise: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon
Physical Description: Blazer is rather large for his species, and he's quite muscular as well, it shows up best on his chest. Instead of the normal orange and yellow fur that normal Arcanines have, his orange fur is replaced by a deep shade of blood red, and the standard yellow is replaced by a dark gray. His black stripes remain the standard pattern for his species. He always has an overly proud expression on his face, and wears a black choker with silver spikes, matching cuffs on his wrists and tail, and a strange light brown rock with red crystal spikes, attached to his tail cuff. It is what is known as a "Heat Rock" in his world, which extends the duration of any sunshine he might bring out.
Weapons: His teeth, spiked accessories, and sheer size.
Abilities/Powers: His attacks, noted below;
*Flare Blitz- He charges at his opponent covered in flames, this attack causes serious damage, but a third of the damage hits him for recoil.
*Flamethrower- He releases a steady stream of flames that might leave the target with a nasty burn.
*Extremespeed- He charges at his opponent at a speed that makes him seem invisible, he can also use this out of battles to travel faster.
*Solarbeam- He stores energy from sunlight, then unleashes a solar-powered beam. When the sunlight's intense, he doesn't have to wait to charge.
*Sunny Day- He intensifies the rays of the sun for a few minutes, boosting the power of flame-based attacks, reducing the power of water-based attacks, and possibly activating a few extra effects, depending on the combatants.
*Crunch- He bites up the opponent with his sharp-ass teeth, possibly lowering their physical defense.
*Dragon Pulse- An attack with a shockwave generated from his mouth with no special effects.
Also, if an opponent should make eye contact with Blazer, they will often find themselves shuddering a bit in fear. Hell, simply looking at him may cause a chill to run down the looker's spine. This results in a decrease in physical attacking power, his "Intimidate" ability manifesting itself.
Skills: Fighting, somehow managing to survive constant attacks on him, his keen sense of smell, and the ability to ignore lesser attacks due to his incredible narcissism.
Personality: In all honestly, Blazer is one of the most stuck-up individuals you'd ever meet. If you look up the word "vain" in the dictionary, you'll find his picture next to it. He sometimes refers to himself in the third person as "the great Blazer". He considers next to nobody to be his equal, and even those he does consider his equals get a rather apathetic treatment from him. The majority of his teammates would consider him a waste of space, if he wasn't actually a good fighter. He has an obvious crush on Drill (the Nidoqueen is less than thrilled), and has a healthy fear of Peg.
History: Blazer was born as Growlington to a very wealthy human family, and was to become a pampered pet of that family. He was content with living in the life of luxury in his first year... and only his first year. It so happened that a gang of street Pokemon was passing through the area, and it struck an interest in the young Growlithe. He was enthralled with their cool looks, their tough personalities, their rough-and-tumble lifestyles, the whole nine yards. So much so was his desire to join the gang, that he escaped the rich mansion he lived in at the young age of two to become a street Pokemon. However, when he had finally escaped, the gang had passed through, and Growlington was too far away from his old home to return. And he didn't really care. For the next ten years of his life, he wandered the slums of the Kanto region as a street Pokemon, all by himself.
It was when he was twelve when he bumped into a gang of other street Pokemon, consisting of a tattooed Skorupi, a Chinchou with a few piercings, an Aerodactyl with what appeared to be spiky hair, and a Mudkip with a few pieces missing from its fins. Growlington had developed a swelled sense of pride over the years, and challenged them to a fight. He fought well despite being outnumbered four to one, but in the end was downed by a Surf from the Chinchou. However, the same Chinchou was impressed by his strength, and offered him a spot on the gang. Growlington accepted, and then discarded that name for a new one. He decided that he would then be known as Blazer. His new companions were Flash, the only girl and the leader (the Chinchou), Scorpion, the brains (the Skorupi), Spike, the muscle (the Aerodactyl), and Notch, who seemed to be in it purely for the sadism (the Mudkip). Blazer traveled with this gang for a while, up until he was seventeen years old.
It was when he was seventeen, and still not evolved when the gang found themselves in a city that was... less than friendly towards Pokemon. Blazer tried to fight them off, but even his flames were no match for modern weapons. It seemed as though the end was near for the team, had an armored bird not been passing through the area. It was Peg, then thirty-nine at the time. The Skarmory deflected and slashed through the bullets and machines, and helped them escape. Blazer developed a fear of her, and accepted the offer to join the team only out of fear that he might be stalked until his dying day by Peg if he refused. It was official; they were now the unofficial rescue team, Team Destroyers.
It wasn't too long before Blazer and the rest of the team found themselves in a barren desert region, and came across a fainted Nidorina in their travels. This one was a year older than he was, and was called Driller... who then removed the "er" part of her name to distance herself from something that had happened to her. At the age of twenty, Blazer was digging in the sands, and came across a flame-patterned stone. he touched it, and immediately evolved into an Arcanine. He also dug up a black stone that was colored like the night sky, and gave it to Drill, who evolved into a Nidoqueen. He then tried to make a move on her. Drill was less than impressed, and responded to his increasingly irritating flirts by at first ignoring him, then growling, and when it was the last straw, delivered a powerful Focus Punch to Blazer's snout, claiming it was something she's always wanted to do. At the age of twenty-four, that same Nidoqueen found a base; a decayed ship dropped in the desert. The SS Libra became Team Destroyer's base.
When he was twenty-seven, a grayish Bayleef that called herself Artemis was seen passing by the base. Blazer tried to eat her, but was cut off by Peg standing between the two. Backing off, he learned later that the Bayleef was accepted onto the team, and later formed a sort of mother-daughter relation with Drill. Blazer was furious, feeling that he should be Drill's most beloved.
It was then at the age of twenty-eight, when he was passing through the desert, heading to a job, when he was sucked into a portal with the rest of Team Destroyers, and spit out on the Dimensional Island.
Other: The auto-translate feature of the island doesn't work on him, but those that can communicate with animals can understand him, as well as other Pokemon. However, you can somewhat make out what he's saying by listening to where he emphasizes the syllables.
