Full Name: Ian Haverick
Nicknames: Walking Repel
Age: 14
Height: ? (average)
Weight: ? (on the skinny side)
Gender: Male
Race: Mostly Human (With about 2% at most Mewtwo DNA mixed in)
Alliance: Neutral with a lean toward Good
Home: Cinnabar Island, Kanto
Franchise: Pokemon OC
Physical Description: On the surface, Ian is a rather normal looking person. He has short, spiky brown hair. The way it sticks up is almost like a Pokemon’s ears. His eyes are a rather peculiar shade of purple. Ian tends to wear a dark green short-sleeved hoodie, khaki cargo pants, black gloves, and white tennis shoes. He has a yellow backpack he keeps all of his various Pokemon related items in, like Pokeballs, potions, and such. He also wears a med-alert bracelet, though Ian isn’t quite sure why he has to wear it.
Weapons: None, unless you count his Pokemon.
Abilities/Powers: Ian has some latent psychic abilities, but none he can consciously access at the moment. These are a result of the trace amounts of Mewtwo DNA in his system. However, because of Ian’s rather unique biological structure and said latent psychic powers, Pokemon hate Ian. Literally, Pokemon avoid Ian like the plague, and when they’re not running from him, they regard him rather hostilely. It’s very rare for Ian to find Pokemon who don’t hate him on sight. This extends to normal animals too.
Skills: Ian has no real skills to speak of. He’s terrible at Pokemon training, so that is a definite non-skill.
Personality: Ian’s actually a really nice guy, despite what people might think of him due to how their Pokemon and pets tend to spend most of their time trying to maul him. He’s a bit of a pushover, but is ALWAYS happy to make whatever friends he can. However, his nice personality coupled with how animals avoid him means that people tend not to trust him. It’s really not his fault. Really.
History: Ian’s history begins before he was even born. On Cinnabar Island, there was a project that involved research on a certain rare pokemon called Mew. Eventually, Mew “gave birth” to Mewtwo, though the process that had led to this event occurring has never been revealed. All that is known is that research then began on this incredibly drastically different Pokemon. Several DNA samples were taken, but at the time it wasn’t known how volatile Mewtwo’s DNA was. Several researchers were contaminated with trace amounts of Mewtwo’s DNA, including one who was actually pregnant at the time. The child, Ian, was born long after Mewtwo escaped from the lab and burned down the Cinnabar Mansion. It was realized early on that there wasn’t something quite right with Ian, and it was eventually discovered that his body contained large amounts of Mewtwo DNA. Ian was kept on watch most of his life in case the Mewtwo DNA in his system caused any major problems. It never did.
Ian had a hard time making friends when he was younger, though. A lot of kids had their own Pokemon, and Pokemon hated Ian, so a lot of kids hated Ian too. Ian tried to get a Pokemon of his own, but it wasn’t until one Nidoran never ran away that he was able to get his own Pokemon. Ian was ecstatic, and took the Nidoran home with him. He convinced his mom to let him keep it, and nicknamed it Don Ran, or the Don for short.
Eventually, Ian’s mother decided to let him go on a Pokemon journey after much nagging from Ian. Ian went straight to Pallet Town, and managed to get Proffessor Oak to give him a Squirtle for his starter, but after that, Ian struggled quite a bit on his journey due to the fact he could never quite find any Pokemon to fight or get any to stay around long enough for him to fight them. It took Ian a good two years to finally earn his first Badge, and after that, things just went to hell. For one, Team Galactic kidnapped him. For two, when he woke up, he wasn’t even in Kanto anymore. He was way up north in Sinnoh, and Team Galactic scientists were experimenting on his body and his Pokemon. Ian eventually blacked out from the pain. The next thing he knew, he was waking up on the Dimensional Island.
