As they flew through the portal, it had become evident how much Masahiro had managed to explain to the now teary-eyed youth on his back. He was upset that he had made Perceval cry, but the truth was necessary in order to get the help needed to bring Double D back. "Well... in any case, we'll win. We always do. But I think I can find a way to reverse that damned demon's curse with my friend here. I just need to get her to come out of her room." He smirked, noticing the red-haired girl near the gate was asleep. "Hong Meiling... worst gatekeeper ever." With that, he flew over and entered the mansion. "Welcome, Perceval, to the creepiest place in Gensokyo. When I was but a Fallen, I managed to find my way here and befriend one of the residents in a close manner. I was as good then as I am now. Certainly this curse will peek her interests... the door to the Voile Library."

Sniffling terribly, Percy nodded weakly, taking the angel's hand like a frightened child clinging to his mother and following him down the hallways of the mansion.
The place was slightly scary, but not as much as the thought of his Guardian Angel... his close friend... becoming a.. monster... it didn't make any sense! Why him? Why did he deserve...?

Masahiro nodded and opened the door. It was rather huge, but still easy to open nonetheless. What they found outside was shelves upon shelves full of nothing but books. Some were written in English, some Japanese, and many others in languages unknown to the modern man. All of them seemed to be thick books, and they were full of magical knowledges beyond any man. Inside this library laid the writer of a multitude of them, a purple-haired woman who sat there, paying no mind to anyone around her, but fixated on her book. However, Masahiro smirked and said, "If you're not going to give me the usual greeting, then perhaps we can just skip on to business." With that, the girl began to spin around, her hands glowing as she was muttering an incantation. But she was suddenly halted by a coughing fit as she began to hack and cough away. Masahiro shook his head and gave her a hard pat on the back, returning her breath.
"Th-Thanks," she said. "... Seems Sakuya and China don't understand what it means to keep rats out."
"Such a way to greet your friend," Masahiro said with a fake pout.
"You may be my friend, but I haven't seen you in decades," Patchouli said. "So forgive me if I'm a little upset."
"Thought you'd like to be alone more often," Masahiro said. "Anyway... Patchouli, I need your help..."
"The great evil Aku has been released from his prison by your foolish angel friend. He, in turn, was transformed into a demon. You've come to me seeking a cure, but you're also curious about your other friend's ever growing insanity." Patchouli said all of this with a knowledgable voice, emotionless in nature, and yet somewhat concerned underneath the mask of uncaring.

Percy glanced between the two of them, only catching some English words he understood. I need to make an effort to learn the language... after so long...

"This is my boyfriend, Perceval... he only speaks French," Masahiro said.
"I do not speak French... tell him I say hello," Patchouli said.
"She says you're cute," Masahiro said. He was rewarded with a slap in the head with a book.
"Your eyes said it all," Patchouli said to Masahiro, then gave a friendly hello wave to Perceval.

Despite his gloominess from earlier, Percy forced out a small chuckle at their antics. But with their current worries, his frown quickly returned, and he sniffled and averted his gaze, holding Masi's hand timidly.

"I have books that may help you. Some are written in French by other authors, so you can set him to reading," Patchouli said, pointing to a shelf. "Try the books on that shelf first. Study them well."
"Right," Masahiro said. "Come Perceval. Before we try to save Edd, we have to know how to do it. Years of research awaits us. No doubt we can find a cure somewhere inside."

Percy brought his gaze back up timidly, nodding as he stepped towards the shelves, pulling out a book that interested him. He may have been too weak to fight, but... but he had to do whatever he could to help!

Masahiro pulled out a book and... also began to read... that was it mainly, reading. But it would be Masahiro who woiuld eventually discover the grizly truth.

"...hm." Percy shook his head, putting the book away and grabbing another. "I'm not having any luck, Masahiro... what do we do if we can't find anything...?"
