Blossom looked annoyed as Specter calld her vermin. She opened her mouth to argue, but the white monkey ran right over her. She seemed more miffed at that and shifted the weight on her foot. She didn't get how that explained the monkey's talking, but then again Mojo had turned people into monkeys with hats, so maybe it wasn't that out of the question. Greatly increased the intelligence? That actually sounded really cool.
"No need for you to be rude, though!" she said, "And... that means you didn't make it right? Does your owner know where you are, then?"
It was possible the monkey had escaped from a lab somewhere. The helmets certainly sounded scientific. She had dropped her guard a bit by now and was operating on a mix of annoyance and confusion. Her fists were loose now. This was a bit weird, she had to admit. He had a bad attitude, but maybe he wasn't a monster after all. He didn't have a black aura...

Oh... That REALLY made Specter mad.
"I... BELONG... TO NO-ONE..." His narrowed gaze had quickly turned into a glare. "Do you want to know why? The last time I was under some kind of ownership I was under the tyranny of a circus owner. To have me perform in that WRETCHED circus was the most indignant punishment any human can ever give an animal!" A small sneer came on his face. "And I'm not about to go back. I have my own ambitions, and NONE of them can be reached if I reduce myself to the lowly level of 'pet'!"
Leona jumped at Specter's fit...
However, something pricked at her energy sensor. She wasn't exactly good at it, but she did her best. Strangely enough, she felt a type of magic exhibiting from Specter...
But it didn't feel like magic at all...
What's more? The power was HUGE.
[In otherwords, she's unknowingly sensing Specter's Psychic capabilities. He's a powerful telepath that even knows a great amount of energy projection.]

Rico cringed, gulping. He didn't know who this monkey was, but he could tell Blossom was only making things worse. What's more, he too could sense the massive spike in psychic energy coming from Specter.
"She really better watch it," he mumbled to Leona out of the side of his clenched jaw. "It looks like she's just ticking him off, and there's some major PSI waves radiating off him right now."
The sudden thought of Specter launching a PSI attack at Blossom made Rico conjure an invisible PSI shield between the two just in case. He then added, "I wonder where Momoko ran off to, anyway. Doesn't she know the Japanese Powerpuff Girls?"

Blossom looked surprised as Specter pretty much flipped. Wait, abused in a circus? Oh man, that was way too much like Mojo. Still, it didn't change the fact that he was obviously misbehaving. She felt... something coming off the primate. It wasn't a black aura, but it was definently some kind of aura and it was spiking with every second. This was all very new to the poor "super heroine".
She leapt into the air and pink streams of light shot out from the bottom of her shoes. They seemed to be what allowed the flight ability. She rocketed quite a bit higher, a good twenty feet into the air with an extra burst of energy from the shoes. Neither Leona nor Rico would sense anything in the way of magic or psychic abilities from her, it was all technology. She lowered her hand with a quick snap and the yo-yo shot towards Specter as she gave a shout.
"Choco Swirl!"
The yo-yo would veer to Specter's left about a foot away from him. The aim of the attack was to use the long and pretty much unbreakable string to wrap around the monkey several times and tie him up. Of course, Blossom wasn't all that used to things like psychic attacks. And at the moment, she was still pretty heavily underestimating the white primate. Not that surprising considering the other monkey antagonist she had to deal with.
(OOC: One of the running themes of PPGZ is none of it is "magic", its all "science". So the PSI shield wouldn't interfere with her yo-yo attack. As for the name, its a theme of Blossom's in PPGZ. She always changes up her attack name with something food based, and if there was food in the episode she tends to base the name on that, hence the "Choco" part. As for Blossom picking up on his telepathy, that is arguably something even modern science can do, let alone the advance abilities of the PPGZ.)

[Yeah, I remember a few of those factors from reading up on the show itself, and actually watching it.]
The Yoyo flew past Specter about to circle around…
But a flash of purple energy stopped the weapon cold, making it float in mid-air, frozen in place.
Worse yet? Specter had been the one to do it.
The monkey grinned sadistically as he took in the Yoyo a moment. “Such a amateurish weapon don’t you think?” He spoke, as he looked to Momoko’s no doubt bewildered expression. “Trying to tie me up, eh? Nice try.”
………………..
Suddenly the energy flashed around Momoko lifting her up in a bubble of psychic energy. “But not good enough!”
The Powerpuff was then sent flying backward by an impressive push of Psychic energy, that could put the patent pending ‘Jedi Force Push’ to shame. The barrier that Rico had put up lessened the power of it slightly, but not entirely.
Leona stared on in slack-jawed awe. “Such… Such power..!!”

Rico grunted slightly; he felt his shield weaken, and it left something of a mild mental aftershock. "Tell me about it..." he said in agreement.

Bewildered was a good word for Blossom's reaction. That was a new trick, and the best she could figure was that it had something to do with his helmet. She jerked back on the yo-yo and found resistance, which lead to an annoyed expression and a completely dropped guard as Specter informed her that what she was doing wasn't good enough.
The psychic shove also caught the girl by complete surprise. It helped she had just dropped her guard with trying to free her yo-yo. She let out the muffled sound one might expect of someone getting punched in the chest and went flying backwards. She managed to crash through the top of some trees as her yo-yo went trailing after her. Somehow or another it avoided getting tangled in the trees as it began to roll back up.
The yo-yo managed to get itself back to Blossom just as the push shoved her into the side of a building. The building had an indent a good six inches deep from where she'd impacted. Contrary to what anyone in the group was probably expecting, she didn't seem hurt. Rattled, sure, but not hurt. She flew forward again and swerved around the tree. She seemed to take a defensive stance, as if she were bracing herself in mid-air. Now she was glaring at Specter.
"Be a good monkey and behave! Ice Cream Shoot!"
The yo-yo shot forward again. It seemed like she was trying to tie up Specter again, but that actually wasn't her aim. She'd noted some body language by the monkey when he'd stopped the yo-yo before. She was hoping she'd see it again, and at that moment the yo-yo would veer to the side in a manner completely unnatural for any real yo-yo. Then it would hit him in the hat, with hopes that it would knock it off. If not, she'd probably hit him in the forehead, and that would hurt.

Specter didn’t look at all deterred at the oncoming yoyo. There was a sudden flash of energy… Before the Yoyo passed harmlessly through Specter as if he wasn’t even there. Of course this lead to all present company to give the space an expression similar to ‘  ’ before the Specter illusion vanished completely. Leona could scarcely believe her eyes; did he just… Teleport?!? No, that wasn’t it, the energy fluctuations weren’t right for teleportation. Well, sure there were some hints of teleportation, but the energy fluxes were more along the line of… Before she could finish that thought, her energy senses picked up again. “L-LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!!!!!” If Hyper Blossom heard and reacted fast enough, she would’ve found Specter directly behind her charging up a beam of pure energy via Energy Projection, and dodged out of the way a split second after he launched it. In truth, Specter hadn’t been standing in the spot that Hyper Blossom had launched her yoyo, he had created an illusion of himself to toy with Blossom, while the real one prepared a powerful attack right behind her. The only reason the others hadn't caught on to the trick was because Specter had made sure to mute his energy levels making them smaller then the illusion's. Specter grinned evilly as he fired off the beam, now sitting in a floating mechanical throne no-one had noticed anywhere in the ITS until now. Likely he had used his mental prowess to teleport it in. “TRY THIS!!!” |

Rico was just in the process of wondering why all of Blossom's attacks were named after food when he saw the yoyo pass through the monkey. It was when he glanced back towards the Powerpuff when he saw where Spector really was.
"It was... a hologram..?" he asked in a quiet yet incredulous tone just as he realized what Specter was about to do. With look of panic, he dropped all atempts at subtly and just launched a bright field of psychic energy in the way of Specter's with a shout of "PSI SHIELD!"

But before Spector could launch an attack, an impeccable force slammed into the side of his face from out of his blind spot. It came in the midst of a pink blur, and it knocked him clear off his pedestal.

"GYAH!!!!!!!" Speaking of the Supreme Ruler of the Monkeys, he hit the floor with a tough thud. "WHO DID THAT?!?!?!?"

(OOC: Sorry about that folks! >___> Should we take this as a new posting order? I'm gonna start using the full name (might be a fan full name as its just her henshin phrase, btw) for Hyper Blossom to avoid confusion. XD)
Hyper Blossom had blinked in mild surprise as the yo-yo had gone through her opponent. She wouldn't have liked another dodge, be it via whatever power he had or a simple dodge, but that would have been explainable. And it wasn't super speed, as for a few moments the primate remained. She was in the process of turning around and might have even managed to do so in time to dodge Spector, but something got to the situation just as Spector was about to release his new attack.
Hyper Blossom flew backwards with her own significant speed, any blur being an illusion created by the pink light coming from the soles of her shoes. She had reacted before processing much of what had happened. While most of the group were distracted with Spector being slammed to the side, Hyper Blossom was quite a bit more distracted with the person who had done it.
"Hey, no fair copying me!"
She'd gotten a good look at what really did look like someone trying to copy her. It was a bit creepy, all things considered. Hyper Blossom was well aware of cosplaying, although she wasn't sure about how the flying was handled. She didn't for an instant think the other girl was an enemy. After all, she'd noted the girl had a white aura...
(OOC: Explanation for that. The white aura in PPGZ is a result of the mutated Chemical X of the show, Chemical Z. Its heavily implied if not outright stated that the aura is present in those effected by Chemical X and was important in handling the reimaginings version of Him. So I figure the PPG's would have it. :3
She's distracted atm by the "copier". XD)

((Yay, you're back! =D I was just about to PM you. Okay, since everyone's posted except me this round, and this is now our "new post order" I guess, I'll go now.))
Rico shook his head in surprise when Specter was side attacked. Then he sighed in relief, lowering his shield a little... for now. (hey, no need to waste PP at the moment)
He took a good look at the newcomer when Hyper Blossom accused her of 'copying' her and noted, "You know... she's older than the Blossom I remember from the cartoon too, but she does look more like her..."

After her attack, Blossom lightly touched down on the ground, nodding firmly towards the evil monkey, rightfully put in his place. But at another's words, she turned and found herself confronted with...
"H...huh?" the Powerpuff leader blinked at Hyper Blossom. "...who...?"

Specter took the oppurtunity quickly, and focused his energy. Suddenly it looked like Specter split himself into five, surprising Leona as well as a few other people. She could tell that this was just an illusion, but she was lax on figuring out who the real Specter was.
Before an arguement of some kind could break out between the two Blossoms, a powerful blast of psychic energy knocked the two aside, Rico's pre-casted PSI shield taking away from a good amount of the damage. "You'll pay dearly for that!" One Specter said with a growl.
"Can you guess which one of us is the real one?" Another Specter sneered before the five monkeys lifted off the ground, each one of them occupying a flying throne just to complete the illusion.
"Come on! Try your luck!" All five spoke at the same time, before each one fired out an equally powerful PSI beam.
