A 12-year-old Hispanic-looking boy (yet with a Canadian accent) wearing a blue tank top over an oatmeal turtleneck, khaki pants, and teal lace-less shoes walked around the station, getting a good look at all of his surroundings.
"What the fobby...?" he could be heard mumbling to himself. "Since when did Winters get a train station?"
((OOC: Open RP, obviously so people can show up to tell Rico where he is. Also, my attempts at introducing Rico in the now discontinued "red-colored morning" RP at Portal Park are now retconned out of "canon."))

[You likely won't have this in mind, but it works all the same.]
Upon awakening earlier that same day, who could honestly say she saw the new world coming? That's right. Nobody. She may have been the little sister of a genius, but that didn't necessarily mean SHE was a genius herself.
It wouldn't have mattered if she was though. No force on Radiata could've helped her foresee what had happened. If he was lucky, Genius would've likely figured it out, if he had the time... But it didn't matter...
Surely, surely, the little sister of Genius Weissheit wouldn't have seen this coming...
If Rico had been paying attention, he likely would've seen a young lady sitting on a nearby bench, crying her eyes out. Dressed in a foreign blue school uniform with a pair of wire-rim glasses on top of her head, one could easily tell she was a rather studious girl... ... ... ...
But why was she crying?
"Wh-where am I? Wh-where's Radiata?" she sniffled as she continued to sob silently. "Why can't I find anyone anywhere?"
Only earlier, she had tried to find some of her school friends or teachers around the near area, but to no avail. And that fact alone scared her like no tomorrow.

After walkinf for sometime, he finally noticed someone else there. A girl a few years older than him was sitting on a bench, crying. She sounded...
"Hi," he said, sitting down next to her. "You lost too?"

Leona, startled, jumped off the bench... Before quickly tripping over her own feet and hitting the ground with a 9.3 point face plant...
In other words... 'OOOW'.
"Oowwwwww... ... ..." She raised her head, looking around. Once she was back on her feet, her foot brushed up against a book the girl had dropped, to which she picked it up...
As if the scene couldn't get anymore freakin' embarrassing, the girl turned to a nearby pole and bowed to it repeatedly. "I'm so sorry! I... I..." She sniffled a little, "I am lost..."
It must've been right there that she THEN realized that her familiar pair of spectacles weren't over her eyes. "Oh no, my glasses!!!" She dropped down to the floor, more on purpose this time, and started feeling around for them. "Where'd they go?!"
What she failed to realize however, that said spectacles, by some sheer MIRACLE, was still on top of her head, despite her earlier spill.

Rico cringed when the girl did a faceplant on the floor. Then she started apologising to a pole, and began looking around for her glasses... which were actually on her head.
"Ummm..." He got up and went carefully to her... then, as delicatley as he could, he pushed the bridge of her glasses down to her nose. "Uh, hi," he said, forcing a smile on his awkwerd face...

At this point, the poor girl was about as red as a tomato, when she realized where her glasses had been previously. Getting back to her feet, and holding the book to her chest, Leona turned her gaze away, her face still very red. "Um... Thank you..."
After a second, she chanced another look at the boy... He appeared a few years younger then she, and didn't seem all that intimidating... ... ... Not that it mattered to Leona. Another person could be as tiny as a child and innocent looking as a puppy and the girl still wouldn't have known how to talk to him. She gulped a little bit as she suddenly found a very inate interest on her boots. "Do... Do you know where I am?" She said as loudly as she could, which was about the tone for normal talking. "I... I don't... Recognize anything... So I can't be at... Vareth... Or even R-Radiata for that matter."

Rico frowned and shook his head. "I don't recognise anything, either... I was at a country called Winters just a few moments ago... and yes, it's about as cold and snowy as the name suggests... and I know Winters doesn't have a train station..."

Leona WAS somewhat confused by the name 'Winters' given that it did sound like the season, but she figured she might as well take the boy's word for it that it was cold where he was. "O-oh..." She thought a moment, "W-well... I..." She sighed, what was she to say?
It was at times like this that she wished she was more like her brother Genius, he never had problems speaking his mind, whereas Leona was so withdrawn, it was a wonder she hadn't ended this conversation before it began...
But curiosity spoke over awkwardness.
"Wh-what's a t-train?"
That's right, there was no such things as trains in Radiata, you don't like it? Tough. [XD] "I... I don't think I've ever heard of 'a' train..." She thought a moment. "Do you mean 'train' as in 'Training'? Because, I d-don't think that th-this looks like a-a gym... O-or at least, any g-gym I've ever seen..."

Rico laughed. "Nah, if it were a gym, I'd be wearing track clothes and coming out of a locker room," he joked. He then went on to explain, "A train is a big, bulky chain of cars that are pulled by an engine car, which is traditionally steam-powered, those the Japanese do have though electronic super-fast bullet trains. They're used for public transporation in a lot of countries."
Thinking for a moment for an explanation for why it's called a train, he realised, "I'm not sure where it gets the name 'train' from."

Leona blushed at this response; oh WAY to make a dang fool of herself in front of her new friend...
Wait, friend?..
Leona thought a moment on this... Could she consider Rico a friend? He certainly hasn't said anything otherwise... But of course he hasn't said anything in support of it either... When the response actually reached her brain however, the girl turned to see a train sitting on the tracks in the station, doing nothing in particular. "A train..."
She may not have been her brother Genius, but at that moment, curiosity came to the girl much like it would've to her brother. What fascinating technology... And it was unknown to Radiata as well! Most fascinating...
"Oh... Well... W-we don't h-have t-technology like that in R-Radiata..." Leona begun with a small quiver, feeling somewhat left behind. "At Vareth though, th-the school does have s-some technology... S-sliding doors, moving stair cases called escalators... And s-some of the s-students work on magic and t-technology as well..." She lowered her head. "M-my brother f-for instance, is a g-genius in technology and magic... He o-often tells me that e-every second h-he's not working, the h-human's of Radiata are h-held back b-by two w-weeks."
Possibly a surprising statement, but Leona knew it to be true. Genius was a genius after all. "I-I'm not near as smart as h-him though... A-all I've ever done i-is translate the s-school's oldest r-rune filled b-books..." At that she held out the book she had been holding. "L-like this one for instance..."
If she had opened the book, it would've revealed the pretty much indecipherable bunch of letter like runes. Back in Radiata, the runes themselves would've boggled the minds of anyone that tried to read them, which only made it more flabbergasting that Leona would've been able to read them just fine, much less translate them.

Rico raised his eyebrows in interest. "Sliding doors and escalators? Wow... don't have anything like that at Snow Woods Boarding School... usually just see things like that in shopping malls... your brother sounds pretty smart," he added. "I know a genius, myself; the guy's a schoolmate of mine named Jeff. How's this for genius? I heard he once took a broken antenna from the trash and turned it into a working laser gun."

Leona knew what an antennae was... But Laser gun..?
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Yeah...
That was a new one on her.
"Laser g-gun? Wh-what's that?"

Rico paused, unsure of how to respond. He decided to reply with a casual, "Ah, best I can say is a gun that can shoot a ray of light that's so hot it burns stuff."
((XD How's that for a technical discription of a laser?))

Leona easily understood the technical term for a laser, it sounded a little like some kinds of magic that the students at Vareth studied, along with the laws of reflection in physics. It made a lot of sense. But the definition for 'gun' still elluded her completely. Shrugging inwardly, she figured she'd see what a gun was later on. "O-oh." She thought a moment, "Sounds bad..."
With that in mind, she brought the book closer to her, as she thought some more. "Wh-where do you think w-we are?"

Rico shrugged. "Beats the heck out of me... not literally," he added, "cause then I'd be on the floor in pain or something."
