This list is as much for me as it is anyone else. But if anyone is reading the Rei no Kaado plot, you're probably very confused as to what aspects from what versions are considered canon! Despite causing some minor retcons here and there, I've decided to finalize how the canon is blended. I've arranged it into arcs, but at the bottom is an "Other" section that lists some details taken from sources. This is only dealing with the canon, not any of the fanon and fanwanking I've done.
#1. Yami no Game/Dark Game Arc: Uses only the manga as canon. This retcons out the references to the gaming Shitenou.
#2. Duelist Kingdom Arc: Uses mostly anime as canon. Ignores the first episode and blends with the manga so that Kaiba's return matches the manga.
#3. Legendary Heroes Arc: Anime only mini-arc, used as canon
#4. Battle City: Entirely (or close enough) anime for canon
#5. Noah's Arc/Virtual World: Anime only arc, used as canon.
#6. Battle City Finals: Mostly anime, but some of the specifics of Malik's past are manga. For example, Dark Malik skinned his father's back, a manga only occurance.
#7. Dooma Arc/Waking the Dragons: Anime only arc, used as canon.
#8. KC Grand Prix/Grand Championship: Anime only arc, used as canon.
#9. Egypt Arc/Dawn of the Duel: Entirely anime
#10. Ceremonial Duel: N/A, my canons are drawn just before it.
Other: Some detail notes. Cards used in the canon backstory match the anime, however the characters may use manga only cards in RP due to being able to change their deck and owning the cards even if they didn't use them. Certain powers of the Millenium Items are drawn from the manga, such as the "Unity" of the Puzzle and its ability to find people and violent reactions such as the Ring burning people it doesn't accept alive.
Pyramid of Light and Capsule Monsters are not accepted as canon, as only Japanese canon is used and those were commissioned by 4Kids. Pyramid of Light is considered non-canon in Japan, and Capsule Monsters is so bad it doesn't even have a Japanese dub. Due to not using the original anime/Season 0, the Toei movie is also disregarded canon wise (damned if I would know how to fit it in, anyways. XD OVA if I ever saw one)
