"What are you talking about?" Souji repeated. He hadn't interfered with anything. He'd been in here the whole time. Unless Lucius was talking to Izanagi... but then Souji had to wonder what Izanagi was doing back in here. From how Izanagi had been talking earlier, Souji had assumed the god was going to ignore him for the most part.
"You're asking me to take him?" Izanagi asked. He gave a chuckle. "Or do you just want me to get Tohru killed?"
The god took a step back so that he was leaning against the wall. "I would love to see you try to follow through on killing me. You should know how hard it is to kill a major kami. Speaking of which, how is that war against YHWH going?" He was smirking as he taunted Lucius. He was confident Lucius couldn't do much else than kill Souji, and even then that would just free him from this mortal plane.

Shikome wasn't entirely sure where the conversation was going. At first she had thought the threat was aimed at Izanagi, but now it seemed different somehow. Was Lucifer threatening to kill Izanagi or not? She couldn't allow it. For how little she understood the situation, she knew that if the Izanagi presence was destroyed, Souji would be as well. She flew forwards and took a defensive stance in front of Souji. She would die defending him.
Lucius still looked human during the exchange. Aside from the eerie maturity in his eyes, he still seemed like a human teenager. He gave a small smile in response to Izanagi's chuckle. It wasn't a confirmation, and Izanagi wouldn't read it as such despite any reactions he gave. It was merely a clear indication of where Lucuis felt he stood in the situation. It didn't drop much as Izanagi taunted him, but it was enough to be noticed.
"Far better than your understanding of why you can't kill your avatar, I'd say," Lucius stated, "And it's interesting you bring that point up. You don't have His power... there's a difference between death and entrapment, Izanagi-no-Okami."

Lucius' words had at least confirmed something for Souji. Izanagi was in the room right now. So the conversation wasn't directed toward him. Souji became a lot more attentive once Lucius mentioned his issues regarding Izanagi and the avatar situation in general, though.
"What the hell do you know about that?" Souji growled. He still had his hand clenched around the card, and for once, Shikome's defensive behavior wasn't bothering him. This was very dangerous, but he needed to know what Lucius knew. It wouldn't have bothered him as much if it hadn't been for Shikome's comment earlier. Now he was even more worried about his situation.
Izanagi's smirk fell into a glare at Lucius' comment. "Perhaps. But I am still one of the creator gods of Japan. There will be someone who worships me, and it will be enough for me to come back."

Lucius ignored Souji. He was talking to him, and if he was too broken to realize that it quite simply wasn't his problem. He seemed to be ignoring Shikome as well. He wasn't here to hurt Izanami's brother and lover, the glorified handmaiden didn't have to worry. As Izanagi's expression changed, so did Lucius'. He seemed rather pleased with himself.
"Someone is missing the point, isn't he? I stated that there is a difference between death and entrapment. Althogh you're rather trapped in your own right now, aren't you? Trapped by your ignorance... In any case, I wasn't here to exchange insults. Adachi is mine, and I'm quite tired of sharing him with you. Consider that door closed, Izanagi."

Izanagi hmphed and looked away from Lucius. If that was how he was going to play, then he was done with the demon anyways. He doubted Lucius understood the situation as much as he thought he did. The demon had never made an avatar; that form he was walking around in was nothing but a human form, which was much different from an avatar. And Adachi bored him anyways.
Souji was still glaring at Lucius. The demon was still ignoring him. Dammit, what the hell was going on? As far as Souji knew, Izanami had no clue either. If she knew, she would have told him by now, especially with how much she hated Izanagi.

Lucius chuckled to himself. Izanagi didn't seem to realize an important source of information had been cut off from him.
"Do ask your sister what she thinks of the situation. I dislike ignorance, and I think she knows more then she thinks is important. Fare well, and try to stay out of my business from now on. My patience is thin."
Lucius vanished in a flash of black light. Shikome waited a few minutes before relaxing. What he'd said in parting bothered her. She was not aware of anything that her Lady could possibly know about...

Izanagi ignored Lucius' parting comment. He hadn't fallen so far he would ask his sister for information about his stupid failure of an avatar.
Souji only relaxed once Shikome did. What... What the hell had Lucius meant by that? Souji suddenly realized that he couldn't head straight home after they released him. He needed to see Izanami. He needed to see her now, but most importantly, he needed to find out what she knew about this situation. Quite simply, he was sick and tired of this avatar situation. His life had been even more hell than usual since that festival, and he was just so over it.
