"-And that's why goggles are an essential part of zombie survival."
Shade just already met Ed at some weird circus thing, but he was fun to talk to. He doesn't seem as bright as most people she met, but from past experience, intelligence is only good in battle.
Though, she has a strange feeling that the two were being followed.

He was in inner rage. He knew where he was before, just another desert. but this one, he could feel the sand moving under him, taking him along for the ride.
That's about when he saw... THEM. a pair of teens taking a walk in the desert, so he decided to follow them. From under the sand.
"Wow shade, that's cool!" Ed called in utter excitement. "I had a dream I was fighting Zombies once... and i was a werewolf. Weird, huh?" He continued walking next to her, a bit happy to find someone with similar interests... that wasn't trying to paint his face with lipstick.

"Hm, werewolves," Shade thought to herself.
"I experienced weirder. Though, that dream sounds interesting. Does it involved a guy with a chainsaw for a hand who has an outdated slang for a catch-phrase?"
Her feeling grew stronger, but she could hide her concern well, so she won't worry her new friend.

"Uh, I don't think so..." He stammered, trying to recall the dream. "But my friend was a werewolf, too, kinda, and my other pal was a-"
When a giant blast of sand went upward and and the sky went black, a roaring ball of metal fell down right behind them, causing Ed to turn around. It's eyes were alternating between red and black, a possible show of rage, or confusion.

Shade was listening on, when what appears to be a sand storm poured out, and knocked herself off balance. She spat the sand that went in her mouth.
Rubbing the sand out of her eye (her right was covered thanks to her bangs), she looked up to see a figure that was in front of the two.
It was a giant beaten up ball with faded sharp teeth, a faded chain that appears to be its tail, and shifting red and black eyes.
Shade looked towards the creature a bit nervously, trying to see if it was going to harm either of them, and how to beat him if he did.

Ed stared at it, terrified. Whatever he was looking at, it looked viscous. "Uh... nice doggy?" was all he could mutter.
the massive metal monster gave him a deep glare with reddening eyes, teeth clanging against eachother. It's tail, rusted slightly but still powerful, began to rise up and down with it's owner. Finally itching for a scrap, he let loose a massive roar, one tha made the sand fly, and caused Ed to tip over.
"RUN AWAY!!!" Ed couldn't help but run at it's apearance, dented and rusty or not.

Shade looked on the thing, not really feeling the urge to run away. So, she tried to think carefully to combat it.
However, they all end up at dead ends. She knew several spells, but they aren't powerful enough with human hands using them. Her dagger she carries around can only damage the flesh. And the scythe only holds enough power to prevent herself from dying.
So, she silently stared at the creature.

Ed kept running for his life, and the iron beast kept chasing after him. Eventually, he ran flat into a rock, his face red from impact. When another great roar echoed through his being, he turned and faced it, sweat running down his face. What could he possibly do?! The only thing he could think of was throwing a rock at it, but where would he-?
"Oh yeah!" Ed shouted. He turned around and gripped the boulder in front of him, lifting it out of the sand with relative ease, revealing it was much, MUCH bigger than himself. "Eat this, Foul metal monster from the hidden pyramid!"
With little more than a toss, the rock slammed flat into it's face, cracking and making worse indents while doing so. Eventually, the chain chomps bouldering problem out of the way, it's eyes went back to being black, and it began to cry.

Shade's jaw dropped as she watched this kid took this guy at ease. It was the thing she least expected from this kid, let along anyone else that may be here.
She than ran up to Ed, than looked over at the creature who they harmed. She noticed the creature was crying, as if all the rage was crushed out of the rock.
Seeing as if fear wasn't in her system, she walked up towards the creature, and knelt down to looked at his face, with an expression of concern on herself.

Ed looked it over; if you got past the teeth and chains, it kinda looked cute. "Aw, I'm sorry big guy," He softly admited, rushing over to hug it. "You scared me, so i didn't know what else to do."
The massive beast just let the tears roll, then gave both of them a massive lick. He forgave them, rubbing into Ed's hug a bit more.

Shade gave a laugh as she felt the tongue licked her. Shade than gave a smile, and she joined in the hug too.

Finally falling back, he gave a thought, one more than he usually has. "What should I name ya..." Of course, this implied Ed wanted to keep him as a pet.
But did he mind? Nope. One happy roar showed he was willing to go along with it.

Shade looked at the thing.
"Maybe Chompy would be a good name for this thing," Shade suggested.
She looked over at this creature, and gave him a smile. Looks like the three shall spawn a weird friendship, which she didn't mind.

Ed grinned. "Do ya like that, boy?" With another roar, his answer was obviously a yes. Then Ed looked around. "How are we gonna get to the city again?"
With a sudden flash, the newly named Chompy raised up and plopped his whole body into the sand, raising back up underneath them. With Shade and Ed on top of his head, He pushed off, bounceing for the cities main area.

Shade climbed up on Chompy, using her wand hidden under her sleeves to make comfortable seating arrangements for the two. When Chompy started moving, she felt the breeze on her body, finally resting her legs from all that traveling she has done these past days.
