So Kaiba was being his usual self, then. It didn't surprise Abel, from his own interactions with the man. He took the two items and placed them on the bed before looking toward Yuugi. He smiled and shook his head.
"Don't worry, I'm not hurt. I... I've just been so stressed out lately, I've got a bit of a headache," Abel said. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me."
His whole body really felt sore right now. No, not sore. It felt wrong. It was an odd feeling. Right now he was blaming it on those damn markings he'd developed. He was too exhausted and stressed to think of any other causes.

Yuugi didn't look convinced at Abel's words. The frown wasn't really judgmental, but it was clear what the short teenager thought of the situation. He did give a nod and managed to change his expression to a smile as he turned to the door.
"I can't help much, but if you ever need anybody to talk to you have my COMP address," Yuugi said, "And Atsuro-kun-tachi are your friends. They can help too."
"Abel," Atem said, "....thank you. We didn't have any other options."
Yuugi's hand was reaching for the door when a knock came from the other side. He jerked in surprise at the four solid knocks.
"Abel, are you asleep?"
It was Cain's voice. Given that it was Cain's voice, the question really was pointless. More likely it was the man's way of announcing himself without using his name.

Abel gave a smile at both Yuugi and Atem's words. These two... Even with everything that had happened, and the schism (of his own design) that had appeared between him and the group that still lived at the apartments, those two were his closest friends here on the Island. With everything that had happened, he had a hard time talking to Atsuro anymore. He'd hurt Atsuro just too badly. He had similar problems with Keiji. And both of them wanted to hang onto the Keiichi that Abel wasn't even sure he could keep.
He frowned at the knocks and pushed past Yuugi to reach the door once he heard Cain speak. He pulled the door open and frowned.
"I have guests over. What do you want?" Abel asked. His tone got a touch bit darker when he spoke to Cain, showing that he was acting more as the King of Bel than before. Cain would be able to see Yuugi and Atem from where he was standing, though.

Cain had been aware of who was in the room by the voices. It was nice to get some confirmation, although it was rather unneeded. He held up the bag containing the COMPs, his eyes never leaving Abel's. However, there was a lot to be said for peripheal vision. He noted the two golden items laying on Abel's bed.
"I wanted to deliver Seth's new COMP, but he's asleep," Cain said. He didn't ask if Seth was asleep, but it was Cain, "Should I leave Seth without a weapon or wake him, hmm?"
"We can leave," Atem stated.

Abel glared at Cain. There were times Cain was annoying with his taunts, and Abel wasn't in the mood to deal with him. He spoke to Atem without looking at him. "Perhaps it would be better if you did leave."
He looked toward Cain again. "Install all of the necessary features and leave it next to his bed. He'll know it's there when he wakes up."

Atem nodded. Yuugi opened his mouth to object, but he had already closed it and was headed towards the door before Atem could object. The former Pharaoh wished he could be grateful for Yuugi's discretion, but the fact was this was the calmest meeting they'd had with Abel in quite a while. Even Atem was finding himself less judgmental of the other man than usual. Cain stepped to the side after Abel did, and the two teenagers walked past. Atem did take the time to fix a glare on Cain, but Abel's brother didn't change his expression.
"We'll see you later, Abel," Yuugi said, having stopped once out specifically to say so, "Take care of yourself."
Cain watched them go. He lowered the hand with the bag, setting it on the ground. He glanced past Abel once more at the Items on his bed.
"Is the king unable to take care of his own problems, then?" Cain asked. -----
"Partner, watch out!"
Atem had to jerk Yuugi out of Kaido's way in the lobby. The man stopped only when he heard Atem's voice. He looked up at the two with a raised eyebrow. Last he'd checked, Abel wasn't on the best of terms with them. He rolled his eyes and walked past. Atem noted the behavior seemed... off for the man.
"Atem?"
"It's nothing, Partner," he looked at Yuugi, "No, I think it's something Abel has to handle."
"Atem, what about that vision!? I didn't want to say it up there because of K1-kun, but the person I saw could have been K2-kun!"

Abel nodded at Yuugi as him and Atem headed down the hallway. He refocused on Cain at the man's comment about Atem. He shrugged.
"If you choose to think about it that way," Abel said. "I don't want you messing with them. The only reason I can handle them safely is because I'm a demon, and I don't need you to die right now."
That, and he didn't want Cain controlling any Dark Games. He was sure the man would run some if the items accepted him. Hopefully none would, but Abel still didn't want to take that chance.

"I wouldn't consider it," Cain stated with a smile. As usual, he didn't elaborate more.
The man sensed the conversation was over and turned towards the room he was sharing with Seth. He didn't know if Abel realized it, but Seth's decision to remain in Cain's room wasn't out of fear of his twin. It was actually a sign of respect, as it were. He smiled a bit more as the thought crossed his mind and he opened the door.
Kaido came up the stairs just as Cain closed the door behind him. His eyes narrowed, wondering how intentional the timing of that had been. He'd learned to put nothing past the guy. He looked towards Abel and let out a sigh.
"We've got a problem. You ever run into anything called 'Hitoshura'?" Kaido asked, unaware of Abel's encounter with the term that morning. -----
Atem looked at Kaido as he walked past them and then back at his Partner. Yuugi had a point, but... this wasn't as clear cut as the visions he knew about. Even Isis had been more focused. Sort of a "do this and this will happen" situation, as had occurred with Mahaad.
"Partner, we have to trust Abel can handle things," he said after a moment, "If it was Minato-kun in that vision, we need to focus on him. Abel is in a war... casualties happen."

Abel frowned and watched as Cain walked back into his room. He turned toward the stairs at the sound of Kaido's footsteps. This would be about the time for Kaido to be making it back, so it didn't surprise Abel that Kaido was back now.
Abel flinched at Kaido's words. Lucifer had taunted him with the term Hitoshura earlier, before he'd attacked him just to get a better look at his markings. Cain had explained the term as applying to someone with a demonic body and a human heart.
"...I'm familiar with the term," Abel finally said.

Kaido raised an eyebrow at Abel's response. If that wasn't a dodged response he was the president of the united states. He shrugged and pulled out his COMP, flipping it open and pressing a few buttons. All it had really kept datawise was the name and the fact that it refused to display any weaknesses and strengths, clearly showing it had been unable to read such things. It didn't even have an image saved. He held it out so that Abel could see.
"This guy at the mall Cain and I ran into said he'd be seeing you soon. I know a challenge when I see one," Kaido stated. -----
Yuugi frowned. He did tend to forget that. Things were peaceful enough here, but that was the whole reason Abel had taken the throne. To free humanity. After a moment he nodded, looking back towards the stairs. He was pretty sure it was K2 now. The fact that he'd seen the vision in K1's presence...? He shook his head.
"We should go back home."

Abel gave a slow nod at Kaido's words. This was a bit concerning. Other than Lucifer and Adachi, Abel hadn't really gotten any direct confrontations on the island. Lucifer had attacked him several times, and Adachi really hadn't gone anywhere because Lucifer had shown up. What stood out to him the most was the fact that this person was a Hitoshura. Someone like him.
Abel hadn't really considered the idea of meeting other humans turned demon before. It wasn't like any other people carrying Abel's essence in his world had absorbed a Bel's power. Obviously there were others, or the term "hitoshura" wouldn't exist, but he still hadn't really thought about it.
"If he wishes to challenge me, I'll accept," Abel said. "I need a bit of exercise."

Kaido closed the COMP with one finger before sticking it back in his pocket. He looked to the door Cain had just gone into and let out a bitter sound. It seemed almost like a laugh. His expression was dead serious as he turned back towards Abel and jerked his thumb towards the door.
"You might wanna see how much you can get out of that guy about it. He warned me in a round about way about that guy before walking off," Kaido stated. -----
Cain was sitting on his bed, the wrappings of a COMP box on the bed around him. He chuckled to himself as he looked at the instruction manual, the thing unfolded and the part about modding in front of his face. He crumpled it up and threw it over his shoulder before opening up the new silver one and beginning the set up. His own black COMP was sitting on the bed next to him.
Seth wasn't asleep, but his back was turned to Cain and his eyes were closed. He had no doubt Cain knew, and was only grateful his oldest brother wasn't saying anything about it.

Abel nodded and walked over to Cain's door. He knocked a couple times on the door out of politeness, even though he could easily just force his way in. He didn't bother looking toward Kaido again to see what he was doing; the man often did his own thing, and Abel didn't bother bothering him about it.

Kaido scowled as Abel walked past him, not so much as acknowledging his presence. He wasn't just an errand boy, he didn't appreciate getting shoved to the side. For the same reason as usual, Kaido kept his mouth shut. He shoved the COMP back in his pocket and walked past Abel, opening the door to the room shared by him and Atsuro. Unless Atsuro was doing something particular, he didn't acknowledge the teenager's presence, merely laying down on the bad and glaring at the ceiling. -----
Cain set the usual normalities with Seth's new COMP before turning on his own and inputting a few commands on it with one finger. It was a damn good thing Abel's power extended as it did. When a COMP was destroyed the data was lost, after all. Given Seth's propensities, Cain doubted he would have survived the full Lockdown. His only chance would have been the iireplacibility of the devices then. Abel had understood that, thankfully.
"It's open, Abel," Cain stated, not lifting his eyes from the two COMPs.
Seth's eyes widened as Cain spoke. He jerked up into a sitting position and would be watching the door as Abel came in. If his twin saw the need to contact Cain just after he came back to his room, it was probably rather important. Seth couldn't help but wonder what Cain had done this time.

Atsuro looked up from his laptop as he saw Kaido come in. Kaido looked pretty pissed from what Atsuro could see. He hesitated for a moment before speaking.
"Is Abel ignoring you again?" Atsuro asked.
-------------
Abel opened the door and walked in. The way the door opened and the position of where Seth was sitting meant Abel got a good look at his sibling. He closed his eyes and turned his head toward Cain before opening them again. He didn't need to preoccupy himself about Seth's injuries right now....
"Cain, what do you know about 'Hitoshuras'?" Abel asked. He would start with the simple questions first. He could get to asking Cain about what happened earlier with him and Kaido later.
