Stauit put a hand under his chin, thinking. He remembered the conclusion he had come to, and the took her words into consideration. Well, if they both were from warm climates and sent into much older ones, it seemed to confirm his theory.

Stauit's shoulders slumped a bit. He had been spit out onto the island more than recently, all he knew about the place was that is was freezing cold and arctic.
"... I'm afraid I have no way to answer that question. What does your companion look like, anyways?"

Mackenzie looked up. "Well, it wasn't just me and him there, my best friends were there, too..." Not wanting to bore the large figure in front of her, she got right to the point. "He's really small, brown, and he's a mushroom. His name is Funghi."

Stauit looked a bit shocked at the 'mushroom' part, but quickly resumed his normal expression. After all, he had seen mushroom Pokemon. All plant Pokemon, like what his mutation had made him half of.
... Wait, plant?!
"...!! A plant will not last long out there. We need to start looking now."

Mackenzie furrowed her expression. "Maybe I forgot to say this..."
Hoping she got his attention, she raised her voice. "Funghi's a lot tougher than he looks. He's more than able to survive the elements, especially the cold and scorching flames." She moved her head, then thought a little more. "...possibly because of his added protection..."
The protection she was reffering to is Funghi's natural layer of moisture.

"So, it is a plant that has learned to survive in more extreme conditions..." Stauit mumbled to himself. So, maybe this kind of plant creature was a bit more hardy than the ones on his world.
Then again, he was one to talk, with his own plant features and rough build.

Mackenzie took his words into thought. "He's supposed to be an all purpose sidekick..." Right as she headed for the door, she paused, looking at him a bit... oddly. "um, hold on." She walked closer to him and reached for his head, unable to get the whole way because of her short size.
