William was anything but gone. William was dead. William was a true ghost, and those were very hard to kill. Willaim was however, dangerously close to the Void underneath the Island before he recovered. William had known he was in another dimension. William had not realized he was on an Island floating in a void. Long story short, William was now freaked.
His first reaction was to shoot upwards, something he could easily do in his intangible form. This didn't work all that well, as he got maybe two feet up before being yanked three feet down. The void beneath him had a pull, and it apparently didn't discriminate between those tangible and intangible. And it almost seemed to be reaching for him, like some demonic living entity. For a moment, William considered giving into that pull. He'd passed through the dimensional barrier once, and it had ripped his living self apart. Surely even a ghost couldn't survive direct contact with the void.
However, there was still Danny. While he had no problem dying himself, he couldn't fail more people. He'd lost his entire kingdom, he couldn't lose another. He glared at the Void and shot up. While he found a surge in power, he had no idea that his pendant was practically glowing to aid him. If there had been anyone to observe him, he'd have created a glowing blue will o' wisp effect. Even those that couldn't see him would see the glow. The reason why he didn't? He was currently trying not to get sucked into the Void. In any case, it was like a sling shot. He shot through the entire ground of the Island and came up about ten feet above the ground. Egon's meter kicked off another warning as Will turned around and realized things had gone very very south for the group.
He realized after about two seconds of observing the opponent was assured of victory. He knew that expression. It was what had allowed him to escape his confinement when his people had rebelled against Marcus. While the end result of that had been... rather bad, the opening had given him a chance. And here he had another. He dropped down and grabbed his sword off the ground. Granted, even if Egon could see he wouldn't be able to tell, as both the prince and his blade were intangile. And the poor meter was practically ready to explode for the multiple readings.
William took a second to gauge his distances. The one strangling Danny was definently closer. While the fate of the oddly equipped man was something to be concerned for, Danny was the one he'd taken more directly under his wing. And Danny was this creature's main target. Both sides of it were quite distracted, but he had to do what he could now. As Danny would just be realizing his wail had done almost no good, Vlad would get getting a sword through his gut. Through his back, and then through his gut. While intangible, William was the same way. Same plane of existance meant that the blade would do damage... and even intangible, Vlad was only "half-ghost".
Danny would probably be feeling very lucky for his height, as the long sword went between his legs and not him as well. He probably would want to keep his flight ability in mind rather than just dropping though. Sword was double-edged, and one of the blades was pointed up.
In the most deadpan and serious voice in existance, William spoke, "You should have made a third one. Die."

There was no beating around the bush here. No witty metaphors to be used. No analogies to be made, or anything of the sort. There was really only one way to sum up what had just happened. William had successfully shocked the HELL out of Vlad. Both Vlads, being that he'd been a good enough guesser to find the original. He completely lost his focus as William's friggin' SWORD went IN HIS BACK and OUT HIS ABDOMEN. And dear GOD it hurt. His hands unclasped from Daniel's throat, allowing the teen to do two things. First, he went tangible, allowing Vlad to continue moving forward and pass throw him. Mind you, it wasn't at all intentional. His ghostly wail had sapped his remaining energy, turning him completely human again. Which brings us to the second thing. He went completely human.
Luckily, some of Daniel's powers still work while human. He wasn't sure how, given his current condition, but he managed to keep himself afloat. His head was spinning, and he was struggling to get his breath back, but he was alive. Well, half-alive. And that was good enough for him.
--
On the ground, the Vlad clone had dissipated once the original lost focus. Egon had a minor burn mark in the shape of a hand on his face, but otherwise he seemed unharmed... until he collapsed. He did NOT seem to be breathing...
--
However, once the initial shock was gone, Vlad was PISSED. His eyes glowed bright, and where there was once ONE injured Vladimir Plasmius... well, now stood ten. Each looked quite... angry.
"ARE THESE ENOUGH FOR YOU, BOY?" Vlad asked in a growl, snarling. Things almost seemed grim...
Until the clones disappeared. And where there was once Vladimir Plasmius... now stood Vlad Masters.

Vlad had pulled himself off the sword by flying foward. Any movement at all startled Will a bit, and his intention of twisting the sword on the pull out was lost. He didn't go about wiping it, as he wasn't sure the danger was over. If the entity had the ability to pull himself off the blade, he may still be able to fight. After all, he wasn't human. He turned towards Danny and reached out to grab him, but the action hadn't come with forethought. Due to Danny's now tangible form, it was pointless. His hand passed through the hand of the black-haired teen. He seemed well enough, if a little dizzy. William flew down to the ground as Vlad... kinda.... guided his fall towards it.
His blade was still out, and there was blood on it. It was as intangible and impossible for normal humans to see as the rest of him, but it was there. He planted his feet and waited for the next attack. This was in time for Vlad to flip, and Will widened his eyes as ten clones appeared. He turned to Danny.
"Danny, flee while you are able!" William shouted.
And then he refocused on his opponent. Who suddenly had nine of his bodies vanish. And suddenly completely changed appearance to what was quite clearly human. William blinked, his guard completely dropped. If Vlad wasn't too busy bleeding to death, he'd have an open shot... but that wasn't horribly likely. Unless Vlad's boosted powers chose to do something, and soon, things were pretty bad for the villain...

Vlad looked down at his hands. His very HUMAN hands, he noticed. That wasn't good. It wasn't so much that he'd used up all of his energy, it was more that he had over-tasked his powers. Ten clones at once, all preparing to attack? His current power would've been able to handle it had he been given enough time to get used to it. Really, he was still getting more accustomed to some of the nuances of being a 'god-like being'. He'd tried to keep things in proportion with his original powers, pouring out the amount of energy necessary to create so many clones in his original state and multiplying it a few times. The result had been that he'd poured TOO MUCH energy into each individual clone, too rapidly.
The balloon effect, in essence. Plus, being stabbed didn't help too much, either. But regardless of how it happened, the point was that Vladimir was now in human form. He was outnumbered, and had never really learned to use many of his powers outside of ghost form. As much as it pained him to say it, now would be a nice time for a hasty retreat. He'd underestimated his foes and overestimated himself. Next time, however... next time he'd be prepared.
Vlad, in the blink of an eye, went ghost. Notedly, he didn't use the same phrase Daniel used when going ghost. An indication, perhaps, to William, that it was unnecessary. In any case, the ghost shot off like a rocket, zooming past Danny before he'd had time to react.

There was also the whole power level difference. William wasn't really focused on the change, only getting ready to fight again. However, rather than being attacked by the opponent, he flew off. William briefly considered heading after him, you could even see his muscles twitching to do so if you were able to see him in his intangible form, but he abandoned the thoughts. He cursed under his breath about letting the opponent flee before wiping his sword on his clothes and sticking it in his sheath. While it was potentially pointless to clean it, he'd do so later anyhow. Habit, if nothing else.
Once the sword was sheathed, he turned towards the one fully living combatant. The man had been attacking him, but on a hunch William had gone after the one targetting Danny. He still couldn't be certain his choice had been right, but it had stopped the onslaught. He looked up towards where he'd last seen Danny, and found the teenager still there.
"Danny, we must seek medical attention for him!" He gestured where Egon was laying.
While he couldn't tell if he was breathing from where he stood, the man had a burn on his face. That would need attention. Without waiting for a response from Danny, William took his tangible form and ran towards where Egon was. He put his hand in front of the man's face and frowned. He wasn't breathing, and those living tended not to do very well like that. The issue was that he didn't know any first aid. He turned towards where Danny was, his eyes finding him if he'd moved. His expression was a mix of serious and concern. It was possible the man could die...

This wasn't good. This was VERY VERY not good. Dr. Egon Spengler, Ph.D., didn't seem to be breathing. They needed to get him to a hospital as QUICKLY as possible. But one of the teenagers couldn't fly in tangible form, and the others powers were on the fritz. And really, Daniel probably wasn't strong enough to lift Egon on his own, let alone fly him to a hospital without going human. And then it hit him. There was one way to get Dr. Spengler to the hospital, but it was risky... and because it was risky, he didn't bother telling William before he tried it out.
What he was about to do only required one of the powers he could use while human, which was a good thing. Going ghost seemed to be requiring more energy of him, as obvious by the numerous failed attempts. And he needed to do this quick, else Egon could die...
In a flash, he was intangible. How that would help probably WASN'T obvious at first... until he flew INSIDE of Egon. The man glowed for a bit with spectral energy, his PKE meter FREAKING out...
And then his eyes popped over, glowing green. He began to cough a bit before pounding his chest. Daniel has successfully proven one of his theories about possession, at least.
"Need to find... a hospital... for doctor Spengler..."

William had found Danny in seconds. There was definently a regal air about him, stepping up from even his usual one. He had been raised to take the throne of a kingdom, and in his time ascending it at fourteen would not have been out of the question. In fact, had that wizard not manipulated things the way he had, he would have taken rule. Right now his expression and way of speaking was that of a ruler expecting orders to be followed.
He didn't, however, expect Danny to go intangible. Without a word the other teenager was flying towards Egon. William, still tangible, seemed to realize Danny had a plan in mind and stood up and took a few steps back. His eyes widened quite a bit as Danny flew into Egon and a surge of green spectral energy grew out from man. Posession...? William had heard of such things, and he was quite sure the man that had brought about his kingdom's fall was capable of influencing such things, but Daniel had not strucken him as strong enough for such an act.
He vanished into his intangible form, "Daniel, are you still capable of observing me?"
Worth note was that he had changed the way he was referring to the other teenager. After the encounter, he had realized the name of Danny was merely a nickname. And while it was possibly not the most pleasant thing for the other teenager, William was nothing if not polite. He had an idea what to do next, but he wanted to make sure they still held their full range of communication.

Well, he supposed he should have expected it. The name change, that was. After all, William seemed to be from a time or place where nicknames didn't exist or something. Danny wasn't sure, all he knew was that he was in a world of pain right now. He was used to overshadowing someone that was at FULL health, not overshadowing someone to try to save their LIFE. Not to mention he'd used quite a bit of energy possessing Egon...
"Yeah, I can see you." Daniel responded to William. It was a good thing he COULD still see and hear the other teen, because that meant that Egon wasn't blind and/or deaf, which was good. Mind you, Vlad burning his face had broken the good doctor's glasses, so while Danny COULD see William, it was slightly fuzzy.
Furthermore, Daniel REALLY hoped William had a plan, because right now he wasn't having any ideas. They were, perhaps, a bit too far away from a hospital to get Egon there in time, and Danny wasn't exactly sure he could fly while in Egon... though, if he had to, he would try.

William gave a firm nod. He looked at the way the man Danny had control of was standing. He couldn't expect him to get far like that, and he didn't know what would happen if the man died whiel he was inside. Hopefully the other teenager would have the sense to leave before that. He rose a few inches off the ground, able to fly due to his current form.
"Lay yourself down and focus on keeping your host alive. I know not how much you know of regulated breathing, but try to do as much as you are capable," William rose a little higher. Danny would have to look up to see him now, even given his change in height due to the overshadowing, "I will seek medical attention. I am capable of communication with others when in physical form. I know enough of this era to know of the things called ambulances."
And without waiting for confirmation, William flew of and left Danny alone.

Daniel hadn't had time to respond to William before he'd flown off. Well, at least they'd get Egon some help. Though, Vlad was still alive. While Danny wasn't really one for 'HURR KILL OFF YOUR ENEMIES HURR", he had to admit, Vlad was dangerous. More so than ever before, now. It wasn't just that he was insane, either. It was that now he had the power to get stuff DONE. But now wasn't the time to think about that. Vlad could be dealt with another time, now Danny needed to focus on keeping Egon alive. So he laid on his back, and focused on breathing.
He had to admit, it was hard. Even with Daniel pulling them for him, Egon's breaths were labored. Vlad had really done a number on him. Danny assumed Egon wasn't exactly... from an area with ghosts like Vlad. However, the man's tech DID remind him a bit of some of the Fentons' own, but the items in question seemed to serve an entirely different purpose.
And that PKE meter thing. Daniel had seen something with a similar function before, but nothing that looked like it. It was odd, really.

William could fly no faster then he could run. It hadn't been a skill he had ever possessed. The only advantage to speed he had as he headed deeper into the unusual city and its unusually tall buildings was that he was going as the crow flies. In other words, he didn't have to take turns and could fly in a straight line. He didn't know complicated equations used in modern science, but even he knew a straight line was faster then a curved one.
It took him longer than he would have liked to find an ambulance. And even then, William wanted to be quite sure they were not treating someone. He would not sacrifice the life of another in such a situation. When he caught site of the vehicle, he followed it and considered the stories he had heard of people who had visited in the castle. It was only after he confirmed the lights were not on that he came to a landing just outside the tallest building he'd seen yet. He made sure no one was near him before materializing and running towards the paused vehicle.
"Excuse me, m-"
"WHAT THE HELL!?"
William's eyes widened and he hopped back at the shout. The person in the driver's seat of the ambulance had given a solid jump, enough that the seatbelt had hooked on their throat. She let out a coughing sound and jerked back down and rubbed her throat. The person standing outside the ambulance who had just waltzed up to it like you would a signpost on the street... she rubbed her eyes. She could have sworn she could just make out the streetlight behind him. Not to mention the outfit, but it wasn't the worst she'd seen in this world.
"...My lady?" William stated.
"S-sorry. What did you want? You shouldn't walk up to cars in the middle of the street! You should be old enough to know that!"
William maintained a calm demeaner and explanined the situation, "There is a man in dire need of medical attention on the outskirts of this grand city. He is in dire need of medical assistance and I fear his stay on the mortal coil may be tenuous. I beseech you to give him the aid he needs!"
The woman blinked at his way of speaking. She still couldn't get the idea that she was seeing through him out of her head. She really was exhausted here, wasn't she. However, she gave him a quick nod after sorting through what he had said.
"Do you know where he is?"
William looked away as if ashamed for a moment. He could direct the woman from the air, but he didn't trust her heart to take it. She kept squinting at him as if she was trying to see what was behind him. For whatever reason, she didn't seem to be accepting she could actually see behind him. So flight was not an option. The woman tensed up a bit at the loud blare of a care behind her. She stuck her head out the window and gave a rather nasty yell.
"Drive the hell around me, I'm doing something here!"
William blinked and looked at the small car. A masculine hand stuck out of the window which seemed to have been rolled down just for that purpose. It made a rather rude gesture, one that had existed even in the time of William's life. The car then turned around and drove around to pass through the green light, blaring a honk as it drove by. The woman in the ambulance rubbed her forehead and let out a sigh.
"If you're serious about needing help, I'm going to need directions. Could you get me there if you got in?"
To this, the prince of the fallen kingdom of Amalthis blinked. This woman wanted him to get inside one of these monsters? Facing a dragon seemed a wiser idea as far as he was concerned. However, Daniel was quite possibly in severe risk. If that man he was protecting died, he had no guarantee Daniel could get out in time. William gave a hard swallow and one could see him weighing the options. Finally, he gave a determined nod.
"How should I go about... approaching this device, my lady?"
"What the hell do you mean? Just open the damn door!"
William looked at her with an apologetic and confused expression. Door? He noted that she gave a tired gesture to the metallic structure to her side and concluded that the handle on the thing must cause it to open. He noted the other vehicles he had seen and was aware there would be a door on the other side. He gave another nod and ran around the front of the ambulance. The door opened without too much difficulty and he hoisted himself up. He sat down and noted the strap she had over her chest. It took him a solid two minutes to get his seatbelt on. The woman was practically facepalming. The boy looked to be a teenager, but what hole had he been living in all his life. She rubbed her eyes again at the fact that she still swore he was transparent.
"All right, keep an eye on the road and tell me where to turn," she stated.
"Of course, my lady."
"And stop calling me that! Jesus, my name is Claire!"
William nodded, "Of course."
And then the woman hit the gas and William thought for sure he was going to die. It would take about fifteen minutes of William's terrified instructions to get to where young Daniel and the body he was inhabiting was. By that time William would be terribly motion sick and lucky to not have a heart for the pulse he would have. He would be ready to agree wtih his earlier assessment. These motor vehicles were monsters... and perhaps instruments of torture.

Daniel was feeling oddly... tired. Pulling breaths for Egon was never going to be easy, he knew that from the beginning. However, it was getting much harder to do than it had been when he'd started out. The man was fading, Daniel knew that. It wouldn't be much longer that he could sustain him. But at the same time, Daniel was never sure how getting out of him was going to go. It wasn't like he could just slip out in front of med techs, and that was assuming he could get out at ALL. If the man died... Danny wasn't sure what would happen to him. But in a way, he was. He'd probably extend the last bit of his life energy trying to keep him alive, and he'd die for his troubles. Egon was noticeably starting to sweat, perhaps due to a combination of his AND Danny's struggles.
Luckily, Daniel didn't have to consider the possibilities for too long, because after around 15 minutes or so, perhaps a bit longer, Daniel heard sirens. Ambulance sirens. That was good, that meant William had managed to find one. Danny didn't want to think of exactly how that exchange had gone, mind you. Even at his most opaque, William was still slightly see-through. Had to creep any normal person out, really. Especially if the people of this world were anything like the people back in Dan's.
Danny was slipping into lunacy, though. So, once the ambulance grew within eye/earshot of him, he had only one thing to say.
"Egon Spengler, Ph.D."

William wasn't moving from the spot he was sitting in. Nailed to. Grabbing with such force that his tangible form's nails had driven into the seat cushion. His eyes were wide and his face stark white. The world was spinning a bit and his stomach felt ready to empty its contents. But he wasn't moving. He knew the monster he was riding in had come to a stop, and he was. not. moving.
Claire gave him a look for half a second, wondering to herself if the teenager had ever even seen a car, let alone been in one. The only reason the glance was that short was because she saw the man who needed help. It looked like someone had gone at his face with a curling iron. She popped open the door to the ambulance and hopped out, a bag in hand. She ran over to Egon's side just as he mumbled something incoherent. After a quick check of her pulse she cussed under her breath. It was there, but faint.
"Sir, can you hear me? Are you conscious?" She planned on waiting only a second before jumping to her feet and pulling out the stretcher.

In the brief second he was allotted, Daniel was torn. He wasn't sure how best to respond, mostly due to his waining mental strength. Technically he was conscious, but Egon was not. On the other hand, by being inside Egon's body at the moment, Daniel's consciousness was, in a sense, Egon's consciousness. Decisions, decisions... then again, he could have always opted not to respond, but it wasn't an option that occurred to him, so he went with what felt most logical.
"No..." Daniel-in-Egon(Degon?) moaned.

The woman blinked at the response before getting to her feet and running towards the ambulance. She only hesitated a bit as she passed William. The boy was very pale... had the ride frightened him that much?
"Hey, kid, get out of the ambulance! I can't take you to the hospital, my boss'll have my head!"
William gave a rather exaggerated swallow after wincing at the woman's words. He did need to get out. If for no other reason so he wasn't in the horrid vehicle when it started up again. It was the thought of being in it when that time came that actuall got him moving. He managed to trip over his own legs as he fell out of the car, but he recovered rather well. He ended up hitting the ground with his feet before immediately wobbling to the side. His stomach still felt quite unwell.
"Daniel!" William managed to say after a moment to regain his balance. He ran over to "Degon"'s side and knelt down, grabbing the man's left hand betwen both of his own. His eyes widened. The hand was cold,, "Daniel, you must pull yourself together!"
"Get out of the way! Jesus, have you never seen an emergency!?"
William was all but tackled out of the way by the woman who had stated her name was Claire. She put a device around the neck of the body Danny was inhabiting before swiftly getting him onto some long stiff board type thing. This was quite different to the way injuries were handled from William's time. The methodology of healers seemed far more complex. William only hoped it would improve Danny's chances...
