SHORT VERSION: I AM BACK ON A WORKING COMPUTER.
LONG VERSION
Okay, so I posted in Away I'd pulled a stupid on my computer and was now driverless. Now that its FIXED I'm willing to share the full details. Basically, I was uninstalling my current operating system due to space and compatibility issues. Well, I clearly wasn't THINKING and ended up doing a full wipe. Issue? I... kinda wiped all my drivers. For those of you that don't know computer speak, its basically this software that makes your computer run right. I couldn't connect to the internet and I had no sound. Look it up if you need more details.
Anyhow, so I got to my parents' house today and got access to a internet connection. I downloaded a crapload of files (all of them were like 386 MB ZIPPED) and ran around doing research and stuff on the internet connection that worked. Like, I had NO idea how to install the fuckers. I ended up installing a bunch of crap I didn't even need as well. Anyhow, I eventually figured out it was a lot simpler than I was making it.
So, I now have a shiny new computer. By new we're talking factory new, as in if I'd just bought it from the store (although lacking in looking as shiny and clean. XD) and its working well enough. I installed Pidgin, an antivirus program (Malwarebytes aka MBam), and a registry cleaner (CCleaner). I know my wireless connection at home works, so barring something unexpected (It isn't out of the question... dear god this last month has been INSANE computer wise) I have a fully functional computer with an OS I know is compatible with my programs and I'm used to.
Basically... I SUCCESSFULLY RECOVERED A COMPUTER FROM A FULL WIPE. GO ME.
