Trevor gave him a quirky look that might've said otherwise, but then replied. "Edd... have I ever, in all my time with you and the others, withheld from speaking my mind... and what I thought to be the honest truth?"

Double D's grin grew a bit as he shut his eyes and shook his head. "No. No you have not." He breathed in deeply, bringing Trevor in for the hug this time. "Oh, Trevor... you... you always seem... to know what to say... in your own colorful way..."
He looked up and locked eyes with Trevor. His golden irises were... actually rather stunning, now that he could see them up close. "...you seem to know what I need most."

Trevor felt Edd pull him in. The roles seemed to have switch. Edd was beginning to feel good about himself. Trevor kept his arms around Edd as Edd gave him the compliments. He smiled softly. "Well yes... being alone is something you, of all people, shouldn't have to go through... You need someone to love you, someone who'll be there for you even when the times turn rough, but someone who also knows not to lose their way."

Double D nodded slowly. That was it exactly. "...intelligent, too," he added, stroking Trevor's hair softly. "Do you... believe... you can fufill that?" he asked, locking eyes again. "...because I certainly believe you can."

Double D shook his head. "Now, now, don't YOU start shortchanging yourself in my place." He brought up his trembling hands to rest on either side of Trevor's face, making sure they locked eyes. "You have your own redeeming factors; an honest tongue, a sensible head, and the strongest loyalty I have ever seen."

"Ahhh..." Double D squeezed out another blush, noting Trevor's sauve approach with a shy smile. "Well... your welcome! And thank YOU... for the compliments directed towards me."
When Trevor came up from his bow, the Angel of Light took a step forward, taking Trevor's hands in his. "...really."

Trevor felt Edd close the distance between them. So close now. The heat between them was rivetting. A voice spoke in his mind. Just kiss him already, ya damn fool. Don't let him go this time. Nodding softly, he did not rush, but moved forward slowly to gently kiss Edd.

Double D... felt something extraordinary in this exchange. Maybe it was just his heightened senses as an angel, not used to kissing someone other than Felix. Maybe it was something more. But either way, he found he liked it very, very much, and it filled all cold corners of his heart with warmth.
He moved in closer to deepen it, willingly accepting it.

This was a feeling that he had never felt before. He flirted a lot, but he had no idea what true love felt like. Now that he knew, it took a good deal of willpower to keep him from jumping on Double D right there. But he kept himself strong, his will to keep from hurting the angel high, and he kept the kiss soft and loving.

Double D sensed Trevor's hesitation, completely understanding why, and took the initiative, though not too abruptly. He stepped forward, closing the distance between their chests and lightly massaging his lips against Trevor's, his hands resting on his shoulders as he tiptoed to reach.

It was absolutely beautiful. Trevor couldn't even think of the words needed to describe the feeling, the experience... other then breathtaking. Absolutely perfect. He had only felt such feelings in his dreams. Kissing Edd, being kissed by Edd, was like heaven on Earth, a makeshift Paradise. He pitied the fool too stupid to give up such bliss as he kneeled down so Edd would not have to tiptoe, letting Edd deepen the kiss.
