(EDIT: New music for the occasion. www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBVzlbf61AUBlame Kels. Ever since she showed me this song, I figure it's fit a lot more.) It had been quite some time since a certain fallen angel had evaded total destruction. When he had managed to return home, however, he found... nothing. Tears came to his eyes, yet floated in the nothingness. There was no other word to describe the vast, empty, black void before Felix other then... nothing. It was pure, concentrated nothingness and it threatened to swallow everything within it. Felix was breathing heavilly, distressed by it all, and called out multiple times the names of his friends, his family, his beloved. But in the pure vaccum of nothingness, no sound travelled for their waves just seemed to dissapate. Felix grabbed at his hair and screamed, a silent, unheard, mangled scream of pure despair.

In contrast, in another dimension, his lover was caught in a vortex is many things, things he didn't want to see, or hear, or feel.
Accepting the homicidal angel into their home had for the first time ever sparked doubt and anger that was aimed directly at HIM. They all kept quiet, but he felt their auras... caught loose things like 'what the hell happened to his common sense bullshit? He needs it NOW more than ever!' and 'did losing him really scar him beyond fixing?' and even some harsher things that he didn't want to recall.
Natural empathy and self-consciousness bred self-doubt within the Angel of Light, of course. What was he doing wrong now? Was accepting him in a bad idea? He was only trying to help the lost soul!
Would they... have to leave the House of Blue Leaves behind for now while he taught the strange angel? It seemed like the best idea, he was being terribly weighed down by the negativity, and yes, perhaps it wasn't fair to Masahiro. With that, he had opted to take some time to inspect the Angel Spring and see if they could set up a temporary home there, as he couldn't think of any other proper, SAFE place.
It was during this inspection that he felt it. Naturally, the Angel Spring's soothing auras had calmed him down and allowed him to open his aura door with security. It was then he felt a small internal tug at his senses, like a throb. Someone was trapped, trying to get into this dimension, but what was more important was that he recognized the soul's pattern, yet it was younger and cleaner than he remembered.
He couldn't believe it, but it seemed true. He was off into the air like a shot, the soul's quiet cry guiding him, his eyes shut, not knowing where he was going but knowing all too well.

(Song For The Occasion www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWUBJsxbfTARise from the darkness into the light.) The darkness of Oblivion was engulfing. There wasn't much to talk about in reality because it was Oblivion. The world that used to be his own did not exist anymore. Devoured by Solaris, he had most likely gone on to take the life of another universe. It was so cold in the nothingness. Felix curled up, sobbing deeply as he just floated there in space. Then there was a light. Felix looked up and looked at the light. He didn't understand how the light was piercing through into the reaches of space that had no era and meaning, but he begin to float towards it softly. Where are you... Where are you... Come to me... Follow my light... I'll bring you out of the darkness... Don't be afraid."Who are you?" Felix asked softly, his voice carrying through as the stillness of Oblivion left him and he fell into the actual world, landing into the arms of a flying angel. When he looked up into the angel's face, however, his eyes widened and he saw the one that was supposed to be dead forever. Edd was there, looking down at him. "E... Edward..." he said softly.

Snapping away from his trance, Double D's heart was left pregnent with thousands of emotions as he gazed down upon the face of his once lover.
Right away, he deduced that this was not the Felix that he had grown to know, to love, to eventually cast away. But.. but it was, in a way, and it wasn't. Edd didn't feel the tug at his soul like he did before, so there was no soulname connection, but the boy knew his face, knew his name, so he HAD to be. But he still had the dark wings, but... but...
...he had the face... of the boy he had fallen in love with.
Dear Lord and High Heavens above. This was his lover. From the past.
So many questions filled his head, but his heart overruled for the moment as the deeply-embedded desire he wanted had come true. His lover had returned, pure, sweet, untainted. Was his prayers finally answered?
It was wishful thinking, and part of him knew that, but for now he threw caution to the wind and held the young fallen angel tightly. "Ohhhh, FELIX!!"

Felix's mind spiralled with his own emotions. He had seen Edd get eaten away. He had awaited his own destruction, but for some reason he had been pulled away. He knew that Edd shouldn't exist and he knew this wasn't his Edd. He was too bright, too pure... purer then he had ever been. Humans had sin within them, it was only natural, but it was like all the sin in Edd had been washed away. He had become more then human now. Felix knew his Edd was gone and this had to be another one.
But when Edd hugged him, crying his name, he decided to let that idea go. This may have been a different Edd, but he didn't care. It was still his Edd, an Edd that knew and loved him, even if it wasn't his Edd. Certainly he wasn't this Edd's Felix, but somehow he knew he was, felt that he was. Thus the two were still connected to each other. And as Edd wrapped his arms around Felix, Felix wrapped his arms around Edd. "Edward. You're... here," he said, happy tears streaming down his face as he cuddled close to the boy.

"I-I am here... I'm here..." It took less than a moment for Eddward to fall right back into his maternal, protective nature, as if he hadn't gone through any of his previous realizations at all. As if he was never hurt, never torn apart by the Felix he knew. But none of that bothered him right now, all that was on his mind was this Felix in his arms, and nothing more.
His wings fluttered as they eased out of the sky, landing near the peak of Mt. Bonsai. Even as his feet touched the ground, he did not release Felix.

Felix kept to Edd, as if he had never lost Edd, as if Solaris had never attacked. This world looked like his own world. It was as if nothing was different. It was perfect... so perfect. Perhaps this was his Edd, the Edd of this world, and he had been given a gift from God for trying to be good in a dying world. Perhaps this was his gift.

Eddward wanted this to last forever. Overall, it was a complicated and delicate situation, but he feared to face it. There were many questions, many concerns... but... one step at a time.
Gently, he pulled away from the embrace, looking down at the younger Felix-- had Eddward really grown so tall since then? He noted the boy's soft features, caressed a hand along his face, took a moment to drink it in, and allowing Felix to do the same for him. He was sure he must've appeared much different, and his wings were still out.
He kept all these thoughts to himself; he didn't dare to even speak for the longest time. He feared he would shatter a moment that may have been only the most fragile of dreams.

(Music for the new occasion www.youtube.com/watch?v=7U3KuRitVDQFelix's confession.) "I-I thought it was over," Felix said softly. Double D might've thought he meant the breaking up, but then he touched Edd's face and smiled softly. "You've gotten so strong. I-I always worried... wanted to get stronger to protect you, but now... you feel so powerful..." Edd could now tell he must've meant something else because this Felix definently had no idea of the breakup. "You feel so strong... and comforting... so..." Though it was a very nice moment, probably very romantic, there would most likely feel something surreal about it, something unrealistic. The problem was that Felix didn't belong there. There was already a Felix Falora in this world. Even though Edd got his wish, it wouldn't be able to add up in the end. But there'd be no reason to tell Edd that. Though he might've felt the same way, odds are he wouldn't care. And then again, he'll only feel that way if the one pulling his strings chooses to make him feel that way. I'm just an odd spectator/suggester after all.

Ohhhh, it felt so wonderful, to hear that musical voice again, the way it was before, high-pitched, feminine, a little uncertain... oh, it was so precious! Eddward just wanted to abandon all caution, take him home, and start all over again.
But.. no. That wasn't the case. Nothing was ever so simple. And as Felix spoke, his heart began to crumble as he realized that Felix had NOT realized where he was, had thought HE was the Eddward he had known... but he wasn't. This... wasn't going to be easy.
"...um...F-Felix..." When he finally found his voice, it was shaky with uncertainty. "I... I don't..." He gulped. "...I don't think... I'm who you think I am."

Felix listened as Edd spoke. Frowning softly, he looked down. But then he nodded. "Well... I just thought maybe... but no, I'm not that foolish." Felix's head drooped softly. "It'd be too miraculous... but life never works that way... my Edd is gone. Solaris destroyed everything..." He looked up at Edd. "But that's ok. I'm sure this world's version of me is taking... perfect... care..." His voice died away as he noticed Edd's expression to what he was saying.

It felt rather cruel, how Eddward's elated state from just moments ago had been replaced by his currant sorrow so quickly. He held back any tears, taking a deep breath and shaking his head. "...how I only wish... how I only wish."
He took a moment to calm himself; now was not the time. Remembering the Solaris part Felix had mentioned, Eddward bit his lip. "It seems... the both of us have a bit of explaining to do, don't we?" He eased down on moss-covered rock, patting it beside him to invite Felix over. "I'm in no rush myself."

"What time is it here, I wonder? Some time must've passed, for you to be so strong in this world," Felix said as he sat down. "We were... just about to go get the jewel piece from the Dark Empire... when Solaris woke."
"This is most likely a different universe. Not surprising considering the oddities and instabilities of everything. But Solaris... is a eater of universes... of everything. It woke up and panic rose... we did everything we could to stop it... but we all failed. Everything was eaten. Ed... Eddy... Razputin... And you... all eaten by Solaris. I was alone. The whole world was almost gone and, try though I might, I couldn't defeat Solaris. But just before I was eaten... I was warped away, sent between dimensions. When I got back home... there was nothing left... only oblivion... dark, empty nothingness, a vacuum of eternal blackness."

Eddward listened without a word, clutching at his own shirt a bit tensely. This sounded familiar... like that which the Wizard was trying to prevent. It seemed to have reached this Felix's world sooner. And as he went on, Eddward shut his eyes... tragic. Simply tragic.
"I... I'm so sorry." Now he was unsure of whether to share his tale or not... whether it was fair to Felix or if he wanted to hear it. "...o-obviously, in this world, things continued as planned with the nest jewel... ahhh... should I continue? I don't want to if it... hurts... I'm sorry..."

Felix was baffled by Edd's pain. What had happened? What had been done? Was he... not happy? "Edd?" he asked softly. "Wh-What's wrong Edward?"
