Results Report (Rei no Kaado)

"That could work, but we should ask Anzu if it's okay," Yuugi said.

"It's better than the other option I'd come up with," Atem nodded.

The doorknob to the bathroom turned. Anzu stepped out, wearing the outfit she'd come to the Island in. She closed the door behind her, blinking as everyone turned to her. They'd been talking before...

"Hey, were you talking about me?" Anzu asked. Her eyes widened and she crossed her arms, "It wasn't about my uniform again, was it?"

Atsuro flushed red as Anzu accused them of talking about her uniform again. He waved his hands in the air.

"N-No, not at all!" Atsuro said with a nervous grin. "Actually, we're trying to set up a barrier in here so you can have your own section of the room 'cause we're gonna have to move you out of the bedroom..."

Yuzu blinked as Atsuro explained the situation. Or rather, successfully dodged her wrath. Move her out of the bedroom? She looked at Yuugi.

"Whose gonna take the bedroom, then? I mean, I assume its two people if we're bothering moving me out, right?"

"Me and Partner are going to take it," Atem said.

"O-oh...." Anzu said. She forced a smile, "That makes sense. But isn't it too much trouble to set up a room like that? It's not fair that everyone else has to be inconvenienced because of me. Maybe I could stay with one of your friends?"

"I don't want to volunteer them without asking them first," Atem said, "Are you sure you'd prefer that?"

"If I'm being honest, I'd prefer to stay with a girl. But none of your friends are girl's..."

Yuugi and Atem exchanged a glance. They both looked rather amused at that, although Yuugi was doing a better job at keeping the reaction down. Anzu gave an annoyed look at them, prompting Yuugi to explain things.

"Naoto-kun is a girl...."

"Eh!?"

Atsuro had to admit Anzu had a point about Yuugi not having any female friends. At the very least, everyone Atsuro had met except for the wolf had been male. Of course, that didn't explain why Yuugi and Atem looked so amused at that. And then Yuugi let it drop. Atsuro's eyes widened.

"W-Wait, Naoto's a girl!?" Atsuro asked. He looked more than a bit shocked. "But... he looks like a guy! And he talks like a guy! And has a guy's name!"

Obviously, this was a bit of a shocker to Atsuro. He also had to wonder why it had never come up in the past. Hell, he would have thought that would have been some kind of important info K1 would have told him before!

Jounouchi had looked towards Atem and Yuugi with confusion. The former Pharaoh had a rather amused grin on his face. He seemed to be trying not to laugh. It hadn't been funny when they found out, but in hindsight the whole situation was kind of hilarious. Yuugi chuckled and nodded as Atsuro and Anzu gave their reactions. Honda crossed his arms.

"Why do you call her Naoto-kun?"

"Ah, I didn't know she was a girl when I met her," Yuugi said, "And Souji-kun-tachi use that honorific, so I think she prefers it."

"Last I checked, its only her and Kanji in their apartment. Other than that, there's Minato and Ryoji's apartment and Souji and Teddie's," Atem said, "And Kanji and Naoto seem like your best option given recent developments. Of course, you'd have to ask them first."

"Do you think they'd be home right now...?" Anzu asked, "It would be better if we solved this as quick as we can, right?"

Atsuro shrugged. He honestly had no clue if they were home or not. Other than the few interactions the Court had with Yuugi's group, Atsuro hadn't really seen Naoto and Kanji all that much. He had no idea what they did during the day. He knew Souji worked at that coffee shop with Yuugi and Atem because of the few times he had stopped in there, but everyone else, he didn't have a clue. Heck, did Minato and Ryoji even have jobs?

"Yeah, we should get this solved pretty quickly if we can," Atsuro said.

"We should see if they're home," Yuugi nodded in agreement, "Do you know what apartment is theirs?"

"Ah.... no. Could you show me, Yuugi?"

"No problem! I'll be right back, everyone," Yuugi said.

Anzu smiled, showing a bit of relief. She and Yuugi walked out of the Apartment. Atem glanced at the three others remaining.

"This is going to come out soon, I'd rather you heard about it sooner or later. The issue with Izanagi has resolved itself. Apparently it was some form of split being, and Souji is an avatar in the standard sense of the word," Atem glanced at Atsuro. It was probable he would know what he meant more than the others. He continued for the sake of Jounouchi and Honda, "It's similar to how Haytham and Asim are the avatars of Ra and Obelisk, respectively."

Which, of course, was news to Atsuro.

"This is their apartment, Anzu," Yuugi said.

"Thank you, Yuugi," she gave a forced smile. Really, it still hurt. She'd ran through the mistakes she'd made a million times. If she'd just... pushed it more this past year, or even before that. Yuugi was so nice, he probably wouldn't notice. She noticed he was still standing there, "Oh, you can go back to the Apartment. It's okay, I can handle it from here."

Yuugi frowned for a moment, but nodded, "Okay."

Anzu waited for him to turn around and walk away before she knocked three times on the door.

Atsuro blinked as Atem brought up Souji. The issue had resolved itself? Atsuro wasn't sure what to think about that. Abel had always held a bit of a vendetta toward Souji because he thought he was a Shadow. Now it turned out Souji was a true avatar and of Izanagi, too. Somehow, Atsuro doubted things were going to get any better on that front if Abel found out.

Of course, Atsuro's eyes widened further as Atem brought up Haytham and Asim. "Wait. Back up a moment! Did you just say Ra and Obelisk?!"

"I'll get it!"

The person who ended up getting the door was Kanji. He was actually wearing a yellow shirt and a black leather jacket instead of his usual skull and crossbones shirt. Naoto was visible in the back of the room, sitting at the table and reading some novel.

"Huh? Anzu? What's up?" Kanji asked.

Honda had scowled at the mention of those names. Jounouchi had grimaced. What Malik had done to him using Ra's flame wasn't something he'd ever forget. It had been bad enough as a memory, let alone with a sentient version of the card running around. Of course, all those reactions were lost as Atsuro had his little freak out over the names. Atem realized they hadn't gotten to telling Atsuro that. He nodded.

"As in the Winged God Dragon of Ra and Obelisk the Giant God Soldier, yes," Atem stated, "I've been approached by the avatars of the actual gods, whose comments have confirmed that the cards in question represent them. I've yet to encounter Osiris, but I suspect he can't be far off."

Anzu lifted her neck up to give a smile towards Kanji. The teenager was taller than even Kaiba, and yet they were of the same ethnicity. He was just under a foot taller than her, though.

"Hello, Tatsumi-san, Shirogane-san. May I come in?"

Atsuro's eyes were still wide. That was... geez. Atsuro had met powerful demons before. Oh, he'd met plenty of them, and he'd certainly met quite a few avatars before. But now the revelation that there was not just one, but three, and quite possibly four walking around was a bit much. Especially since those two represented the god cards.

"Geez..." Atsuro said. "Yeah, Osiris is likely around here somewhere, then.... just... man."

He had to wonder if these guys got any downtime with everything that went on.

Kanji frowned. Why would Anzu want to see them. "Sure, no prob." He moved out of the way of the doorway so Anzu could come inside.

Naoto put down her book. "What brings you here today, Mazaki-chan?"

"That Asim asshole just better keep away from us," Honda growled. He had one hand in a fist and lifted, "He's that guy I told you has been hanging around here. Atem told him he doesn't want his protection."

"Oi, calm down Honda. It's not like he's done anything but hang outside the Apartments," Jounouchi said. The next part was said with a tone of veiled relief, "And I haven't seen that Haytham guy since Malik was here."

"Do you want the full rundown of everything that's happened, Atsuro? The past week has brought a whole new set of snags, some of which you're probably aware of," Atem said.

"Thank you," Anzu said, stepping inside. She leaned against the wall once she was inside, "Well, Yuugi is putting up Atsuro-san because he had to move out from Abel-san's place. It's really crowded in there with everyone. I mean, its Yuugi, Atem, Jounouchi-kun, Honda-kun, and now Atsuro-san."

"It's really crowded, I think I'd inconvenience everyone if I stayed..." Anzu trailed off, as if not saying something she was thinking. She shook her head and smiled, "There's just too much testosterone, too. You know what I mean, right Shirogane-san?"

Atsuro sighed and rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah, I think a full rundown of what's happened would be great."

Naoto stood up as Anzu began to speak. She frowned as Anzu mentioned Atsuro. Atsuro had been part of the Court of Bel, but had to leave for some reason. So he'd run to Yuugi's apartment, which didn't surprise her, considering Yuugi was really the only one of their group Atsuro had spoken to.

She could understand Anzu's point about it being crowded. These apartments weren't exactly large. Naoto did scowl a bit at the comment about the testosterone.

"It would be no problem at all to allow you to stay here," Naoto said, dodging the question about the testosterone as she said so. "Would the couch be okay?"

Anzu gave a relieved smile. In fact, she seemed a bit more relieved then seemed exactly proper for such a simple fix.

"The couch is fine! Yuugi and everyone let me have the bed, but I really think it was because they were trying to be nice..." She shook her head and smiled wider, "This will really help things. Thank you! I do have to get my work uniform from Yuugi's place, but that's really easy."

Atem nodded, "I think the ones you're unaware of began with Souji-kun being hospitalized. Izanami's avatar, a miko named Mana, was shot when an aspect of Izanagi was possessing Adachi. She was killed, and from what I understand Souji-kun lost it. He almost killed Adachi, sending him to the hospital. He had to be taken to the hospital shortly after that for what seemed to be an attempted suicide. From what I understand, it was the Izanagi 'memories' that caused it."

"That was why Yuugi was at the hospital, right?" Honda asked.

"Exactly. This was around the time of the torture cases. At the time me and Partner-tachi were concerned that Bakura, Anpu, or Malik were involved in it. The Ring had gotten back to us because Adachi had it, but we didn't know who was held inside at the time. We hadn't seen either of them for some time."

"Hey, no problem," Kanji said. Naoto nodded.

"We'll need to get you a key made since you'll be staying with us," Naoto noted.

"I can take care of that tomorrow," Kanji said. "I need to get some groceries anyways."

It was almost funny how normal they were compared to everyone else in the group.

Atsuro's expression was flat. Honestly, he hadn't heard of a schism like what had apparently occurred with Souji before. Souji did seem rather violent. From what Nyarlathotep had reported before his desertion, he had a rather explosive temper. So Atsuro could believe Souji had nearly killed Adachi. What didn't quite make sense was Izanagi's memories making Souji try to kill himself.

"So the Ring got back to you guys on the same day Dark Malik attacked me and Seth?" Atsuro asked.

(OOC: For you poor souls trying to follow this, we've just... magically decided on date things and it completely screws up with the timeline as it stands a day can take two weeks real time (...or MORE) in this plot just go with it it'll be sane by the time Jan 1st (RP time) comes around. Okay? Okay.

Anzu nodded, her smile becoming more natural with it. With this, it was good.

Atem nodded, "Which indicates Malik's evil personality had been running around for a few days prior, given the cases. I never looked too closely into the details, but apparently he'd been skinning the backs off of at least some of the victims."

"When we came to pick him up due to Abel's message, he'd recovered enough to fight back. Partner, Honda, and I tried to fight him, but he managed to get past us," Atem scowled a bit, "Asim tackled him into a wall just before he could bring an attack down on us with one of his Ka... and proceeded to speak in Ancient Egyptian."

The door opened as Atem finished that part of his explanation. Honda had begun to speak, so he looked up and gave a smile towards Yuugi as he walked into the room.

"Atem says he doesn't know Japanese, so he had to translate everything the jerk said."

"Are we talking about Asim-san again?" Yuugi asked as he closed the door.
