Physical Description: Kyle looks fairly average compared to a lot of people on the island. Really the only odd part about his appearance is his green hair, which looks like some barber just chopped various bits off. His eyes are also a fairly normal shade of green. For clothing, he prefers to wear a white t-shirt with a tan vest over it, tan cargo pants, and white tennis shoes.
Because of Oni, his shadow always eems a bit off, though, which can lead people to believe that this isn't his true form. He really is just a normal human, but because of Oni, his shadow tends to resemble a more creepy, clawed version of himself. Oh, and it has eyes and an almost clownlike grin. Abilities/Powers: Kyle has no powers of his own. He can use his demon-possessed shadow to fight, but he actually has no control over it, and the fact that it feeds on his life force does not help matters in the least.
Skills: Staying alive probably counts, considering where he lives.
Personality: Kyle is a pushover. He's not exactly timid, but he tends to play it safe most of the time. Most of the time, he seems trapped, and not exactly all there. He doesn't talk much, tries not to inconvienence people, and he tends to avoid making connections with people altogether, since too many of his "friends" have ended up dead because of his "problem." He once was a rather kind person, but because of Oni, he's become much more withdrawn.
History: Kyle has always lived on the Island, and his parents were both Island natives too, their parents having ended up on the Island years ago when the Dimensional Island first started really attracting visitors. He lived a normal life, didn't develop any strange powers or anything like that, learned to stay the heck away from those weird guys who always blew each other and buildings up, etc.
When Kyle was about ten, he met an injured demon. It was really not much more than a quickly fading spirit. The demon convinced Kyle to help him, and the demon said it just needed to recouperate in someone's shadow until it was strong enough to leave. Kyle, ever kind, and having met some nice demons because of the Island anyways, agreed. It ended up being a foolish mistake, and because he'd made the pact that allowed the demon (who went by the name of Oni, despite the fact that it was clearly not some kind of ogre) with blood, he couldn't get rid of him once he realized what a mistake it had been.
Kyle's parents tried to get rid of Oni, calling in everything from mikos to exorcists, but no one could do anything; Kyle and Oni were now linked by blood, and Kyle belonged to the demon until the day he died. For the next five years, Kyle started losing more and more of his free will, blacking out every so often and waking up in places he didn't even recognize. He began to get the creepy feeling that Oni was actually possessing his body while he was blacked out. It was a scary thought, and the revelation that Oni actually planned on completely taking over Kyle's body scared him more than anything.
As of right now, he's still on the Island. He's still him, for now. But in the future, who knows.

Physical Description: In his true form as a demon, Oni is a large lupine creature, with most of his proportions being similar to those of a fox or wolf. He stands upright like a human, however. His entire body is covered with dark blue fur. His head is foxlike, with two long ears much like a fox's and highly expressive green eyes. On his forehead, there is a marking known as the Mark of Oni, which consists of three upside-down red triangles. He has a long neck with two red ringlike markings around it. His hands are larger than normal, with four opposable digits on each hand. Each finger is tipped with a large, savage claw that's about as long as the finger itself when fully extended. On the back of the hand is the Mark of Oni, while around his wrists are two of the red rings. His feet are similar to a wolf's, and are tipped with the same savage claws. Extending from Oni's hips is a long tail that is around seven feet itself, and is tipped with a large tuft of fur. Going down Oni's spine are several curved bony spikes.
In his form as Kyle's shadow, he normally resembles Kyle himself, as in that form, he uses the least amount of energy as he can. When exerting more energy, he resembles his true form a bit more, but he still is quite clearly a shadow.
Weapons: His claws.
Abilities/Powers: As a puppetmaster demon, Oni's powers revolve around controlling other people. He has quite a few ways he can do this, but due to how he's currently linked to Kyle, the only one he can really do it to now is Kyle himself. Once he gets his own body (by taking over Kyle's), he will be at full strength and be able to control other people again, but right now, it's limited to cutting off Kyle's free will and controlling his body, even being able to temporarily possess it when Kyle's energy is particularly low.

Personality: Oni is a manipulative bastard. That's really the easiest way to put it. He likes causing other people pain, but really he just has fun manipulating people. Well, he IS a puppetmaster.
History: Oni was a particularly powerful demon who had ruled over a large area in Japan for a long period of time before a demon hunter managed to finally hunt him down. He escaped from his current body into a dimensional rift, and ended up in the Dimensional Island. That was when he met the 10-year old Kyle, and tricked him into making a blood pact, linking him to the child's life and eventually allowing Oni to regain his body once Kyle's will completely gave out. He's spent his time since then basically using his current situation to his advantage the best he can.
