HOMIGOSH THIS IS SO COOL. I'VE PLAYED FOR LIKE AN HOUR AND HAVEN'T EVEN GOTTEN OUT OF MASARA TOWN (aka Pallet Town) DUE TO MY LANGUAGE SKILLS BUT IT IS COOL.
When Green's (aka Blue's) sister was all "Konnichiwa, Prue-kun!" I about passed out from the awesome. Yes, I followed the tradition I have sense the American RB days and called the MC as Prue. Or Puruu, but who is counting right? Pretty sure that's the right katakana, at least for pronunciation. Best way possible to re-experience first gen, tell you what. XD
Prue of Masara hates his name as much as Prue of Pallet did. *nods* XD
HOLY CRAP NOT EVEN OUT OF MASARA AND I KNOW THE AREA IS NAMED KANTO. Thanks to the map whose official Item name in Japan is Kanto Region Map (wow, no wonder that didn't fit)! Actually the Item name may be shorter, I haven't gotten it in my possession yet. XD I don't remember the term "Kanto" even coming up in the American first gen games!
(I always wondered where people got that name from back then, in any case... XD)
PS - It seems its Town Map, or at least that's what it is when you check on the wall ("Town Map da!"). Kanto Region Map just was what the game calls it when you check it out on the desk of Green's sister. I'm calling her Green's sister cause in first gen I don't think she gets a name. XD
