Teddie seemed rather happy with Atsuro's reaction. His grip was kind of on the weak side of things, though. He let go when Atsuro did. Jounouchi was back on his feet.
"I don't get her," Jounouchi said, "I mean, its not like she needs to save up for America here, right?"
"Jounouchi, she's probably trying to make back what she had to blow on those plane tickets," Honda said.
"And it's not like we're going to be here forever, Jounouchi-kun," Yuugi said, "We'll get home eventually. I'm really worried about Jiichan... Anyways, we should go see Naoto-kun and Kanji-kun."

The group headed downstairs to Naoto and Kanji's apartment from there. Souji had led the way, and knocked on their door a couple times. This time, Naoto was the one to answer. She actually hesitated for a moment as she saw their large group. She wasn't surprised about Atsuro, having been informed of him already by Anzu.
"It's a bit surprising to see you up so early, Souji-sempai," Naoto said.
"What the hell's Sempai doin' up so early?" Kanji called from inside the apartment. He stood up and walked toward the door.
"Yes, a great shock, I know," Souji said a bit sarcastically. He dropped the sarcasm as he continued. "Atsuro's going around introducing himself to everyone, and Honda was interested in meeting you and Kanji."
I can't believe that's a girl... hell, she's even using boku! Atsuro thought to himself. He gave a small bow. "I'm Kihara Atsuro. It's nice to meet you guys."
Naoto bowed back. "My name is Shirogane Naoto, and this is Tatsumi Kanji."
"'Sup," Kanji said.

Jounouchi had given an annoyed look at Kanji as the door opened. The fact was the two of them hadn't hit it off on the best of terms. It wasn't to be mistaken as real... wrath, per se. More like two guys butting heads. Honda lifted a hand, still at the back of the group more or less because of how things laid out. He was actually kind of used to it.
"Yo, name's Honda Hiroto," he gave a teasing smirk towards Jounouchi at his expression, "I see you've met Jounouchi."
"Is Anzu at work?" Yuugi asked.

Kanji just gave a "hmph" at Honda's comment about already having met Jounouchi. It wasn't like he hated Jounouchi. Their personalities just didn't mesh well.
"She left earlier this morning," Naoto said. That only made Atsuro's grin get wider.
"That's awesome," Atsuro said. "Hey, we should pay her a surprise visit or something."
Souji frowned. "You're getting awfully excited over the prospect of visiting Anzu's work."
"Where does she work anyway?" Minato asked Yuugi.

Yuugi looked embarassed at Asturo's comment. He lifted up his hands and waved them really quickly, making it seem like he hadn't heard Minato.
"N-no, that's not a good idea! She really doesn't like it when her friends visit her at her part time jobs!"
Jounouchi had looked amused as Atsuro spoke. In a way, his response was to both Atsuro and Yuugi at the same time, "Wasn't that just because of those stupid rules at school? She didn't want to get in trouble for working, right?"
"Jounouchi!" Yuugi said, having one of those cases where one would have to be deaf and blind to not hear the difference between his and Atem's voices, "She doesn't really want us to go visit her!"
"She did pick the job by choice, Partner," Atem said. He noticed the almost smirk on Honda and Jounouchi's face and it hit him what the source was, "I didn't mean it like that!"
"A-Angel Mort..." Yuugi finally answered Minato.

Souji and Minato both blinked in realization. After a moment, Minato gave a small snicker and Souji put a hand on his head.
"Isn't that a..." Minato started.
"...maid cafe," Souji finished.
"It's not really so much a maid cafe as it is a pastry shop where the waitresses wear wonderful outfits, since the girls there don't really serve you like maids," Atsuro said, still grinning. "Though I won't deny it has a lot of appeal with the otaku crowd."
"It's a maid cafe," Souji repeated.
"I can't say I care for the uniforms," Kanji said. "The material doesn't seem too well put together, and it looks too uncomfortable to actually work in. Y'know, if you're gonna make a uniform, don't just make it for the fetish potential! Make the girls actually wanna work in it, dammit!"
Atsuro gave Kanji a flat stare.
"What?! Can't a guy be interested in proper clothing design?!"

Ryoji hadn't been quite as... subtle about it as Minato had. He almost looked like his teeth were going to burst out of his closed mouth, and the chuckle was rather loud. He hadn't been entirely blind to the city back before the shit had hit the fan, and he'd seen that place a few times. In fact, he'd beaten himself up a few times for never actually going there. All in all, Ryoji was far more interested in the conversation right now.
"Atem has a point, you know," Ryoji said, looking at Kanji as he spoke, "It isn't like they haveto work there. I'm with Atsuro on this one."
"It may help her get over her embarassment with the situation..." Atem said.
"Hey, Pharaoh or not you're a guy too, right?" Jounouchi elbowed Atem. The former Pharaoh gave an annoyed look towards him, but there seemed to be a sort of resignation as well. Truth was he couldn't totally deny the implications.
Yuugi let out a resigned sigh, "She's going to flip, guys..."
It was pretty evident he'd given up trying to argue it, though.

"Looks like the majority agree with me," Atsuro said with a grin. Souji sighed.
"I guess I'll come too, but only to make sure you guys don't get into any trouble," Souji said with a groan. He looked toward Teddie. "Teddie, you are not allowed to pick up girls while you're there."
"I suppose that means we're going to Angel Mort, then," Naoto said.

Teddie had seemed very confused over the conversation as a whole. The fact was, that was not an... "experience" he'd had yet. Most of the group seemed rather excited about it, though. He looked at Souji as he gave his warning.
"No smooching?"
Yuugi gave an elaborate sigh and a nod. If it hadn't been Anzu, if it had just been an outing... he probably would have objected just as much, but he would have been more okay with it. It was hard to tell he was a seventeen year old boy sometimes. Atem was giving a flat look to Jounouchi, who seemed less to be missing it and more to be conveniently missing it. When Teddie asked his question, there was a moment of confusion from the group. Even Jounouchi stopped and had to look at Souji.
"Is he serious?"
"I think that's called 'assault'..." Honda said, as confused sounding as Jounouchi looked.

Souji was facepalming more than usual at Teddie's question and the reactions to it. Atsuro was actually staring at the bear in confusion. He couldn't quite believe what Teddie had just said either. Kanji, on the other hand, looked extremely nervous for some reason as Teddie asked his question.
"Did he just seriously ask that?" Minato asked.
"Completely and absolutely serious," Souji said. He spoke to Teddie without looking toward him. "No Teddie. No smooching."

"Does he even know what that means...?" Jounouchi asked. The thought had hit him after the reactions of Kanji and Souji. They looked like they were used to that, and aside from his appearance at the moment, he wasn't entirely human, right?
Honda looked at Jounouchi, "Jounouchi, he's in what, junior high? Why the heck would you even ask that?"
"Uh... he really doesn't know?" Ryoji looked at Minato, "I mean...."

"Uh, actually, Teddie ain't ever even been to any kind of school," Kanji said. "I mean, we thought about signing him up for school before, but he kinda doesn't exist as far as records go."
"Teddie's a Shadow," Naoto explained. "He doesn't know much about these kind of things."
"I guess he doesn't know..." Minato said with a sigh.

Honda was about to question the legality of that. After all, Teddie was clearly Japanese, no one was that good with the language without living there. And then Naoto explained the situation and Honda blinked, looking back down towards Teddie. He looked at Ryoji, who didn't seem to notice. He was looking at Minato. He'd opened his mouth for a moment, and then frowned, seeming to think of what he wanted to say. He finally spoke.
"So did he get his emotions from a kid?"
Honda finally just decided on a shrug and a smile. He didn't exactly get how Teddie was what he'd gotten a few explanations of before, but it wasn't really worth a whole conversation over. Jounouchi ran his hands through his head and let out a sort of grumble.
"Auugh, all this talk is making my head hurt! Can't we just go?"

Minato shrugged. He honestly had no clue. Hell, even Souji didn't really know where Teddie had come from, only that he was a Shadow with human emotions.
"Yeah, we should go," Atsuro said. "If we wait too long, we'll miss out on all of the beautiful girls!"
"...You're a dirty old man on the inside, aren't you?" Souji joked. Atsuro looked a bit embarrassed.
"...I meant cakes," Atsuro said, looking away.
