Physical Description
Mariya has blonde hair, coming down the sides of her face to her shoulders and bangs ending just above her eyes. Her eyes are red. She wears a long-sleeved red shirt with folded back white cuffs. Over her shirt, Mariya wears blue coveralls with gold buttons. The coveralls also serve as her pants. Mariya also wears white thigh-high socks with green stripes, and a red cap with an M embroidered on it.
She bears white bunny ears on top of her head that stick up straight past the hat.
Weapons
Mariya doesn't wield any weapons, preferring to fight with her legs and abilities. She can use hammers and turtle shells effectively as projectiles though.
Abilities/Powers
The flora and fauna of the Mushroom Kingdom have the same effect on Mariya as they do on her sister Lucy. Mushrooms make them huge, flowers give them pyrotechnics, and stars grant invulnerability.
Skills
Mariya is good at combat using her legs when unarmed, especially her feet, with kicks and jumps.
Personality
Mariya is excitable, and always eager to give her help to a situation. She's committed and makes sure the job gets done, even if she puts herself in harm's way.
History
Mariya and her sister were being delivered to their parents by a stork when an accident separated them. Lucy was captured but the baby Mariya, along with the help of some Yoshis, managed to rescue the younger sister. When Mariya turned 15, she and Lucy became plumbers.
While working on a routine, but expensive, plumbing project, Mariya fell in love with a fair man named Paul. Before long, however, Paul was kidnapped by a huge gorilla, named Dandy Kong. Dandy, in her feminine emotion, carried Paul to the very top of the plumbing structure, and Mariya rushed to save him. She succeeded, but Paul was too shaken, both by Dandy and Mariya's insane rescue gambit, and the two of them broke up.
Mariya decided to become a carpenter, and her sister followed suit. After a few years of work, a message from the Prince's castle came, requesting her help in locating Strawberry. Mariya jumped at the opportunity to help, and tracked him down, rescuing him from Bowsie. Strawberry was grateful, and he and Mariya (and Lucy, who had helped) became good friends.
A few adventures later, a similar distress call came from the faraway Sarasaland, and, again, eager to help, Mariya went off to rescue the garish Prince Rose. Rose, however, wasn't as pleased by Mariya's antics as Strawberry had been, and the two didn't hit it off. (Mariya feels Rose is trying to be more excitable than she is, which irritates her)
Now, Mariya and Lucy reside peacefully in the Mushroom Kingdom, called to action by the odd local event, princely gathering, latest abduction, or just a friendly sporting match.
