I took an online typing test a few times, and my scores average out to about 65 WPM. What are your typing speeds? Don't know? Google "typing tests" so you can take one to find out.

89 after errors on the tiger (95 before). Used a lot of big words and less common words. Will edit with an Oz run.
Oz is much easier! 111 after errors (114 before). Not that this is really the world's best indication of typing speed, these tests only test your transcription not when you're writing the words from your brain (and I'm assuming an easy flow of words, not having to stop and think every few as tends to happen in writing.)

I took a typing course in School, averaged in the hundreds. School typing courses also test on simple sentences and such. Said programs also don't allow you to backspace except on CERTAIN sections, and thus your errors count more and you have to keep going regardless of errors, unlike the typing test we're using. I got 74 on the Aesop's Fables, 79 on Oz. However, I'm not considering these scores as accurate because my hands are freezing right now. Stupid late autumn. I'll retest once my hands do not feel like a block of ice.

Well THAT'S stupid, why don't they just make the test the same all across? Why provide different tests that give different results?

Mainly because typing programs are developed by different companies. I used about three different ones over the course of Middle School, due to the different schools I went to, and they all had different rules for backspacing and such.
