Waxevius and his men were just hiding out in the caves, something they've been doing for several days by now. Considering they wanted to completely conquer the land they came across in that portal, it's somewhat strange that they'd just hang out. I mean, come on, Wax himself is an overlord in his own right, so just staying put seemed weird.
that's about when one of his men barged through, his candle almost burnt out. "Sir Waxevius!" he shouted with a yelp. "A Rabithym just showed up outside!"
Wax just spit in reaction. "Not a big deal, those things are total pushov-"
"And she turned eight of our troops into stone!"
Meanwhile, Rabbina was staring up at the cave location in front of her, scratching the back of her ear. Several candle-like statues were litered around her location, all of them in fear. Thinking the welcoming commitee was wiped out, she started for the entrance, stopping short when smoke billowed out. "My stars," she whispered gently. "I knew i shouldn't have left one."
With reflective roars, the black, molten form of Waxevius charged out, his shoulder volcanoes spitting fire. Giving little more than a shout as signal, several smaller candles shot out from behind him, fire balls being launched left and right. Rabbina stood her ground, her eyes furrowed.
"Let's hope I don't get roasted in this fight..."
