(Note: I requested to take this unused character off the hands of mrsaturn123 on October 14, 2010. It has been a month, and since I have received no reply, I am revamping and taking control of this canon character.)
Full Name: Mario
Nickname(s): Super Mario, Jumpman
Age: Unknown, probably mid-to-late 30s
Height: Fairly short, perhaps 5'3" or so.
Weight: Moderate weight
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alliance: Good
Home: Mushroom Kingdom
Franchise: Super Mario Bros.
Physical Description
Mario wears blue overalls over a red shirt, white gloves over his hands, work boots, and a red cap emblazoned with an M. His eyes are blue, and his hair is short and brown, clean cut. He has a black moustache under his large red nose. His height is variable, changing most as a result of flora and fauna in the Mushroom Kingdom, but he is generally short, especially compared to other humans such as Princess Peach.
Weapons
Mario's deadliest weapon is probably his feet. He's stomped more Koopas and Goombas with them than with virtually any other of his combat routines combined. He's a stellar jumper and he uses this to best ability. He's used weapons from time to time, from a Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device (F.L.U.D.D.) to hammers, to discarded Koopa shells. He generally doesn't keep them with him, tending to improvise.
Abilities/Powers
Mario has the capability to jump to amazing heights. Using the scale of an average human's height (about 6 feet), he can reach heights of 45 to 50 feet with ease. The wildlife and vegetation indigenous to the Mushroom Kingdom has effects on his body, granting him pyromancy, extreme height changes, temporary invulnerability, and flight. These effects usually wear off when Mario recieves damage.
Skills
Mario has rescued Princess Peach and the entire Mushroom Kingdom enough that one could say he's simply skilled at saving the day. He has proficiency, however, with adapting to new scenarios, problem solving, and perseverance.
Personality
Mario is an upstanding individual. The ultimate good Samaritan, he can't ignore someone in need, not even Bowser (unless of course he "needs" help kidnapping Princess Peach). He's selfless and dedicating to making the Mushroom Kingdom a better place, not only with rescue operations, but community service. He's become as well known a figure in the Kingdom as the Princess herself, perhaps even more well known. He doesn't let stress get to him, and he's generally a man of few words, being a "silent" protagonist.
History
Before he was a plumber (an occupation he, admittedly, is rarely seen pursuing legitimately), Mario was a carpenter. His girlfriend, Pauline, was kidnapped by a giant ape named Donkey Kong. He climbed after the ape and saved his girlfriend. Shortly afterward, he was working in the sewers of a major city and found a Warp Pipe that transported him to the Mushroom Kingdom. There, he found out about, and stopped, the Koopa King's kidnapping of Princess Toadstool. Since then, Mario and his brother Luigi have been welcome members of the Mushroom Kingdom.
