Crow groaned at Seven's words. Yep, this kid was sheltered. And yep, he was brainwashed. Had she expected it? Preeeetty much. Most angels didn't go around saying anyone who used a mecha had no respect for life. Crow unfurled her wings a bit at Seven's comment about the dove wings. Fallen angel or not, she didn't have no dove wings.
"Eddward believes there is good in all people, even mecha users," Mr. Copycat explained. "And angels try to avoid killing people when they can."
Kyle couldn't help himself from glaring at Seven. He didn't agree with welcoming Seven into the home. Maybe Seven was just misguided. Maybe Seven was... like him before. Perhaps that made him hypocritical to not agree with allowing Seven in if that was the case, but Seven seemed just... wrong to Kyle. Something about him just felt wrong to Kyle.

King facepalmed at Seven's words. "No, no, it's your belief that's wrong. For starters, that guy wasn't even a mecha-user, he was just helping Masahiro build it." And thus King unknowingly furthered the fires that would most likely be a hatred between Seven and Masahiro. "Masahiro was gonna use it to help defend people, you've got it all mixed up."
"He killed my friend," Masahiro said. "Sheltered or not, misguided or not, he killed someone who helped me in my research and someone I had grown close to. Do you think I should just be so lenient and forgiving, Edd? I am sorry, but I am not you. Unfortunately, even as an angel, I hold grudges."
"Personally I can't blame him," Trevor said to Edd. "This-This isn't something we can fix. It's death, Double D, plain and simple."

"HEY!" Eddy growled, very close to sticking a finger into Seven's chest to prove a point, if Ed and Raz hadn't held him back. "For your information, doing what's right is EXACTLY what Double D always does! Not sure if wanting to let you live with us is the right thing but REGARDLESS, killing people generally ISN'T the right thing to do! Plain and SIMPLE!"
Double D winced. "I-I know, I know, I..." Maybe he shouldn't have brought this up. He should've kept quiet and let the others do as they please. It may had not been right, but it would've been easier to endure than this.
...but no. The strange, angel-like person outside was not evil. His aura gave no such hint. He was good-hearted, he just needed guidence. Why Double D was so drawn to guide him, he didn't know, but he had already made the offer, and revoking it would have been cruel and cowardly. He did his best to straighten up, facing Masahiro levelly and trying very hard to keep a firm expression.
"M....Masahiro..." he croaked, gulping and trying again. "I understand and accept your feelings towards Seven. Even I will admit that he didn't make the best first impression I've ever seen." A sigh. "I will not force you to forgive him. I will not force you to pretend to like him or be his friend. But please, at the very least, give me a chance to make him good. All he needs is a mentor to point him in the right direction. He'll be my responsibility alone."
A final appeal. "...I want to spare as many more lives as I can. Give me a chance to show him the worth of life."

Seven glared at King, Mr. Copycat's words completely forgotten. He wasn't wrong, and if that Masahiro guy was the builder, then maybe there was a reason for the glaring after all. Most of the people here didn't seem bad. He was pretty sure there was some kind of misunderstanding going on for the most part. But this brown haired fellow was calling him wrong and saying that Masahiro was responsible for it. He had a hand back on the sword. Maybe he shouldn't have put it away so fast.
"My 'belief' isn't wrong. Mecha aren't used to defend people, they're used to oppress them," he looked at Eddy, Ed, and Raz and shook his head, "I'm not killing people! I'm killing monsters! Maybe you're just being fooled, but I know better!"

"King, shut the hell up!" Crow yelled, voicing the opinions of just about everyone there at the moment.
Kyle clenched his hands into fists. There was a rather dangerous amount of shadow swirling around his body as Seven reached for his sword. And then at Seven's words, Kyle's temper finally broke loose.
"You're killing people! People fighting for what they think is right too!" Kyle yelled. "The world isn't that black and white! I bet you've never even thought about what those 'monsters' piloting those mechas were thinking, did you?!"
He now realized why Seven pissed him off so much. His perspective on things was so black and white compared to Kyle's. Kyle was about this close to trying to attack Seven. Considering how calm and collected Kyle is, this was strange behavior for him, even with recent events considered...
"Kyle, calm down," Mr. Copycat warned. Kyle sent a glare Mr. Copycat's way, and the man flinched. There was something dangerous about Kyle now. Mr. Copycat didn't like it.

"I don't think I need to!" King said to Crow, but before he could speak further, Kyle pretty much tore Seven apart and got pissed off as well. "... Errrrr... Kyle said pretty much everything that needed to be said there, didn't he?"
"Oh boy!" Trevor immediately ran out to survey the carnage. Masahiro stood up and slowly, silently followed. Trevor noticed Kyle and King poised to attack with Seven's hand on his sword. "Hey, stop it here! No violence, come on guys, can't we all just get alo-?"
"I don't think we can Trevor," Masahiro said softly, walking slowly down the stairs as he looked at Seven. "You ready yourself to draw a blade on my friends because of me, am I right? You think I'm a monster?" He snickered. "What tripe. Ignorance and close-mindedness neither earns my respect or sympathy. I did not kill you because Edward wants to help you. I warn you though... attack my friends, any one of them, and I will gut you like a pig."

Before Masahiro could properly respond to his request, they all swiveled back at the increasing amount of tense yelling outside. And before Double D could barely get a foot out the door, the other two had gotten past him and only added to the flames of hate spewing between both sides. His stomach churned. What a wonderful way to get this off the ground.
"Stop it, stop it! All of you!" he cried out, scurrying out of the house in attempts to bring order to this potential all-out brawl. Masahiro's words at least told him the man trusted him, but they didn't need to be so venomous! "Harsh spoutings of such kind will not get anyone ANYwhere! I won't hear any more of it!!"
He took a moment to calm down, finally facing Seven; looking up a little at him was slightly intimidating. He tried to feign a smile, but it dropped quickly. He tried to block out the negativeness around him and focus on Seven, of what to tell him, carefully chosen words to not stoke the flames any further.
Already he could tell that he had a lot of work ahead of him.
He sighed. "Seven..." he began, venturing a hand on his shoulder. "You're.... new in this land. The laws of life you have been taught... don't correspond well with ours." He gestured between them. "But don't get me wrong. I wish to understand the workings of your world, just as much as I wish to teach you mine.
"Will you... allow me that chance?"

"I thought lots!" Seven snapped back at Kyle, "But it's their choice to pilot the things! And mecha just kill people! Their pilots and builders lie to put people at ease, but I know that they just slaughter people!"
Seven was aware of something wrong with Kyle. He didn't know what, but it was a sort of unnatural presence. It wasn't the same as the lack of presence held by mecha. No, there was something there... it was just something more. His hand closed better around his sword when Masahiro began to speak. He glared at the words. Those words, those lies, they were exactly what he was supposed to suspect from people like him.
He didn't want to attack the people Masahiro were calling his friends, but if he could kill just him... it was then that he drew his sword. It was then that Edd ran out of the house and positioned himself between Seven and the rest of the group.
The teenager winced as Edd began to lay into the main group. His aggressive stance dropped slightly, and his expression became less harsh. His arm relaxed, the sword not at his side but not raised either. It seemed almost as if the group were calming down just by this person's words. Seven wasn't quite aware of Edd's own efforts at suppressing the aura.
He didn't move as Edd approached him, but his muscles locked up as the angel of light put a hand on his bare left shoulder. Edd would feel all of his muscles tense up. He seemed almost as if he was going to pull away, but he didn't quite do so. He didn't know about the others, he didn't trust them, but...
"M-my teachers said..." Seven glanced over Edd's shoulder at first King, and then Masahiro, passing over Kyle as he did so. It was then that he finally pulled back, "I think I want to go home..."

Kyle had been about to attack Seven when Double D came out. It was only because Double D yelled for them all to stop that he hadn't tried to kill Seven then and there. Another sign something was wrong with Kyle, as Mr. Copycat knew Kyle was never that willing to fight. He had sensed something wrong with the boy since the day they'd found Masahiro, but only now had that feeling of... off come to prominence.
Yes, please go home, Kyle snarled in his head. Go home and never come back. We don't need anymore angels. We don't need you anymore. Go away and never come back.
Crow continued to watch Seven closely. Edd obviously trusted the boy, and she'd learned to listen to the sockhead's judgement. After all, he'd decided Kyle was a good enough person to keep around despite his issues with Oni before. So maybe Seven wasn't that bad after all either.
They'd have to do something about him and Kyle, though. Crow could feel the tension between the two of them.

"I don't know where you come from, but it may be better to return there. Who are you to judge people by what they use?" Masahiro asked. He then noticed Seven's sword was out. Masahiro growled. "Fine then. If you want to fight, I'll gladly send you home in a body bag. I'm done with biased fools and murderers." He drew his own blade. "Now... die."
But before they could fight, Edd ran out and screamed for an end to the violence. He had ordered the fighting to stop and made Masahiro and Seven sheathe their swords. Then, like the idealistic fool he was, he began to sweet-talk Seven and try to get him to understand. As expected, Seven didn't want to hear any of it. He wanted to go home.
Masahiro wanted to spout more hatred, but he walked away for Double D's sake. When he was in his room, however, he growled. "That bloody fool. Good may be good, but he speaks to an indiscriminate killer as a friend. On what grounds does he think that that... MURDERER... could be any good here?"
"Don't you get it?" Masahiro looked up to see Trevor walk in. "He's taken to Seven for one reason and one reason only. He's alone. Haven't you heard Edd after Felix was gone? He may get over it, but when I'm up at night, doing whatever, I pass by to go to the bathroom and I sometimes hear Edd in his sleep. He begs God for love, he asks why he has to suffer... even though he might've gotten over Felix, Masahiro, he's suffering. The fact of the matter is there's so much love here. Eddy and Nazz, wherever she's gone, Fletcher and King... you and Perceval. I think he's desperate for that feeling now that he's had a taste of it and..."
"You like him, don't you?" Masahiro asked.
"... In a sort of manner. I might've had a crush on him, but I'm too old for him, aren't I?" Trevor asked with a chuckle.
"No. If he could date Felix, then it doesn't matter that you're human. The laws of the world no longer apply here, do they? You're free to act on those feelings. I will not force you, Trevor, but I will ask... would you be willing to be with Edd...?"
"I'm no replacement for Felix and I will never claim to be," Trevor said. "I'm afraid I doubt Edd will ever find any of the same solace in a human he found in that one angel. Unfortunately, Masahiro, I think he needs an angel to be with him. That might be why he's trying to get Seven to stay, even when he has friends like me and Kyle around him. And you can't do it. You have..."
"Perceval... I know... And I would never go behind his back... so... we're doomed then, aren't we?" Masahiro asked.
"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer," Trevor replied.

Double D bit his lip. "I... don't believe I know where your home is located, unfortunately."
It didn't look at first like Seven wanted to stay very long. That was... disappointing. The Angel of Light frowned up at him. "...but at the very least, stay the night and rest. It's better than wandering lost in a new world... right?"
--------
"You, Trevor? I never would have guessed," Fletcher spoke up. He had chosen to stay indoors and watch from outside. "'Tis a shame. You both seem rather lonely, I don't think that relationship would've been too far off-field."
He glanced out the window. "...but you have a point. His adventures with Felix have given him the taste of the bittersweet nectar of risk. I know he speaks of wishing for a more calm life, but... perhaps he means for the rest of us. I doubt with his power he would want to lead a calm and peaceful life forever."

Seven didn't react much to Edd saying he didn't know where his home was. The truth that it didn't stand much of a surprise. Seven himself barely knew beyond some vague details, it was just a feeling he'd have to lock onto and phase towards. His lack of surprise vanished when Edd suggested he stay the night. His eyes widened and his expression seemed fairly baffled. It didn't get any better at the term world. At the term world, Seven finally took the chance to give a real look at his surroundings.
He didn't move from where he was standing, so unless Edd removed his hand himself it would remain on the teenager's shoulder. Seven's glance around the area was taken in a slow sweep. He'd noted before how... unusual this place seemed. Not like what he'd been told to expect at all. There wasn't anyone all that close to them, justifiable in that civilians needed to avoid combat situations anyways, but the few people he could see... they seemed peaceful enough. He looked back at Edd. Only one thought seemed willing to form for him, and not near enough words to express it clearly.
"New... world?"

Crow sighed. Looked like the kid didn't know about this being a separate world. She looked toward Mr. Copycat, and Mr. Copycat gave a smile and walked over to Seven, taking slow, careful steps as he approached Seven. Not because he was cautious of Seven, but because he wasn't using his cane at the moment.
"Yes, new world. You have arrived on the Dimensional Island, the crossroads of dimensions," he gave a kind smile. "It's not uncommon for the portals to just pull people out of their dimensions and drop them somewhere on the Island."
"Feel free to freak now," Crow said.

"I never had a chance to show it," Trevor replied. "And I'll never be able to tell him that. Besides, Fletcher, you should focus on your own happy ending. Don't worry about me. I'll probably have alcohol to brighten my day, y'know?"
"That's the saddest thing I've heard from anyone," Masahiro said. "Tell me, what will you do about your own happy ending?"
"Didn't I tell you before, Masahiro? I'm the comic relief. Guys like me don't tend to have people lining up to date them. I could get lucky, but "he" will not search for me."
"Then how can I trust my own happy ending?" Masahiro asked with a smirk. "How can Fletcher trust his?"
"Because he values you and King as main characters. Fletcher will have plenty of kinks to work out as Percy and the others have worked with your issues, but he wouldn't dare pull the plug on it. And he would not break you and Percy apart." Trevor smirked softly. "If he thought of it, "she" would certainly not approve in the first place."
Maybe this idiot will finally get it, King thought.

Fletcher blinked, not entirely sure what to make of all that. "Look, either way... Seven will be Eddward's care. I think he'll do just fine, with a little bit of work. Even so..." He patted Masahiro's shoulder. "...I'm sorry for your loss."
--------------
Edd frowned at his confused state, stepping and guiding him back towards the house. "...please, Seven. Come inside. Perhaps we can trade information once you're comfortably settled in."
