If anyone knew the truth behind Masahiro's sudden descent into humanity, they kept their mouths shut. The psychics were probably having a hard time discerning the truth. It was either that or they chose to believe Masahiro and did not dwell further into it to find the truth about another certain boy's involvement. Masahiro had told them that, during his chat with King, the Tribunal had jumped them, tried to pay them back in stones. King managed to get away unscathed, but Masahiro had suffered the loss of his wings. The entire household was glad Masahiro was ok at the time, but on further thought about it, two of the residents remained suspicious on the holes in the story. Despite his buffoonery at times, Trevor was not a total idiot and actually had bit of intelligence in him. Fletcher, of course, was the second one. He had seen his lover's absolute hatred of angels time and time again. How ironic it was for Masahiro to suffer when they were away at a chat together. Both had the unfortunate thought that King might've cut the other youth's wings, but with no evidence to prove it, much like Patchouli's and Mr. Copycat's testimonies towards Felix's treachery, they did not make a move.
Masahiro was in the living room. Ever since his fall into humanity, he had been doing more research, looking for a way to make himself useful. His eye still worked, as if a permanent testimony to his miscarraige and his curse, but his light powers were gone. He was studying on technology now, trying to see if he could find some weaponry or gain the technical knowledge to build something, whether as a weapon or a defense system. His research was halted, however, when a loud noise outside crashed like thunder. Masahiro threw his book to the side and stood up as King, Trevor, and the others rushed to the door, joining them with his eyes set on knowledge moreso then rushing into battle.
"I'm tired of it!" Trevor said with exasperation in his voice. "How much shit are we gonna go through each and every day on these islands, eh?!"
"Glory to the Dimensional Isles," King said sarcastically. Ever since that night, King had more respect for Masahiro then before. He didn't exactly show major friendship towards the male, but he no longer said things to harass him or try and annoy him. He stopped the insults against angels and God. It led to more suspicion concerning him in Trevor's eyes. Fletcher... his mileage may vary.

Well, damn. And things were just slipping back to normal too. Well, as normal as it could get with one less family member. Everyone else was trying not to bring Felix up again, for Edd's sake. Especially after his mood had gotten better with the reuniting of Masahiro and Perceval. Having fufilled his promise to his charge was bound to lift the Guardian Angel's spirits.
As things stood, Percy was leaned against Masahiro in a tight squeeze, Fletcher sat quietly with King, even while his musings still left him tense, Edd was with Marion, watching her color in a new coloring book (their old habits led to her enjoying it after they had filled the one Santa had given them), and the others were scattered about, chatting and such.
When the explosion wracked outside, many leaped in surprise. Marion's crayon went comically flying through the air as it leaped out of her hand.
"What the HELL!?" Eddy, naturally, was the first at the door. "What NOW!?"
"I'm... not sure." Double D tried to get a sense before venturing outside, but the auras that hit him were a jumbled mess. Wincing, he closed that internal door and shook his head, coming up from behind Eddy. "There's only one way to find out, isn't there?"

The crash hadn't really been the first sign of things gone south. It was just the thing that had gotten the attention of everyone within the House of Blue Leaves. It had started when what appeared to be a somewhat scrawny seventeen year old boy manifested to the south of the hot springs in a flash of bright light. It wasn't as noticable as it could be in the afternoon light, but it wasn't something easily missed. It just happened the only one there to see it was a terrified squirrel who left the scene rather quickly as a result.
The six wings coming from the boy's upper back spread out to full extension, and he managed to pull himself up well enough to only scrape the tips of his bare feet on the ground. He let out a breath of surprise as he stabilized. He looked around, his expression nothing but confused. This... didn't look like where he'd been heading. He brushed the few strands of straw blond hair hanging in his face behind his ears as he glanced around. This didn't look like anyplace he'd ever seen in person, even. In some of the history books his teachers shared with him he'd seen places like this, but the world as it sat now because of G.U.N. was no where near this peaceful.
In his glancing around, he managed to catch sight of the hot springs. He lifted his head up towards the top of the odd building and noted there was steam rising from the open roof. With a flap of two sets of wings he rose up a bit more. His intention had been to look inside and see if there was someone he could talk to, but he stopped short as he saw what was on the north side of the building. It was enough for him to let himself drop back down under the power of gravity and peer out the side from a more concealed vantage point.
A man had been appraoching a mid-sized mechanical device. Most worlds would use the term angel-like boy known as Seven was calling it in his head. Mecha. While this area wasn't where he had been told to go, it occurred to Seven that the data his teachers had given him may have been out of date. There was no way L.I.F.E would be using a device like that, and anyone with a mecha simply had to be on G.U.N.'s side. The teenager drew the longsword looped through the white silk belt over his loose black shorts and held it in front of his face. A deep breath and quick slide up the blade later, and he was shooting up over the building and sending three waves of "tainted" holy energy at the mecha with three slashes of his blade.
That was where the explosion came in. Seven was nothing if not knowledgable on weakpoints, and those three slashes had been enough to completely implode the mecha. The pilot had been spinning the keys around his fingers when he'd felt the heat of the flame waves over his head. He'd had the good sense to stop, but even then it wasn't enough to prevent him from getting blased a solid twenty-feet away, landing him right on the walkway leading up to the House of Blue Leaves. Seven flew down as the guy was recovering from the shock. His eyes had widened as he saw what was left of his ride.
"What the fuck!? Hey, who-"
It was about this time the group would be coming out of the House. It was that exact moment the man's head was seperating from his shoulders. The teenager folded his six angel wings up into each other as he wiped the blood on his sword off on the dead man's clothes. He looked up when he realized he had an audience and gave a smile that came close to rivaling some of Marion's and spoke in a very amicable voice. He sounded like he'd just petted a puppy.
"Hello!"

Things had been peaceful at the House of Blue Leaves. Peaceful meaning no one had decided to call Masahiro out on his strange excuse for what had happened. Kyle said nothing; if he knew anything, he wasn't saying it. Crow was just glad to have the stupid idiot back. As much as she didn't like admitting it and despite how much she'd cussed him out when he'd come back before, she was glad to have him back. Mr. Copycat had most certainly put the facts together, but he wasn't saying anything out of respect for the others.
That day, Mr. Copycat had decided to take a visit to the House of Blue Leaves, deciding to bring Cody along. When the explosion had happened, Mr. Copycat was sitting on the couch conversing with Crow, while Kyle and Cody were both watching Marion color. At the sound of the explosion, Crow had shot off of the couch, and Kyle had shot to his feet from where he had been sitting. Cody had been slow to his feet and really was more focused on grabbing Marion to head outside to see what had happened (though he really wanted to see), and Mr. Copycat was the last one to stand and approach the door.
The sight that awaited everyone when they got outside had likely not been what anyone had expected. No one expected to see a giant robot blow up with its pilot being decapitated by a six winged angel. Kyle took a sharp intake of breath and took a step back as the angel spoke. A bit of dark energy began to gather around Kyle's hands as he assessed the threat.
"Who are you..." Kyle asked quietly.
"What the hell?! Who the hell are you, and why did you just cut that guy's head off?!" Crow yelled. In her head, she was cussing up quite the storm. Of course it was another angel! Christ, were there no non-mentally addled angels on this stupid island?
Mr. Copycat stood to the side, watching the situation carefully. A mecha of that size, being taken down by a young, but obviously powerful angel... he could believe it.

The mecha was to be Masahiro's. With his loss in powers, his research had led to its discovery. He had managed to gain the respect and assistance of the villagers in order to try and build it. It would lead to their defense as well as the defense of Masahiro and his friends. It had taken a month's research and work and had still been in progress. The man that Seven had killed was one of Masahiro's assistants and the two had held many a kind conversation together. So when the man was slaughtered in front of him and his mech was destroyed, Trevor and King knew that it was out of righteous anger for once, not selfishness, that Masahiro drew his sword. Still, Trevor put his hand on Masahiro's shoulder and sighed.
"Look at him Masy. He's smiling like a puppy... over a dead body. It's obvious he's a nutcase, so let's try to reason something with him before violence become necessary, ok? Just go lay down for a while and let it steam over."
Masahiro grimaced, but sheathed his sword silently. His anger was better spent flinging his research book into the couch and walking off. Neither Trevor nor King said anything about it because now his anger wouldn't make a big deal about it. And neither blamed him still. A month's worth of work and a good friend even... slaughtered for seemingly no reason. Trevor turned to face Seven again with a scowl on his face. "Now I'm not as close to this, so I'll be the one to ask... who the fuck are you, why did you kill this man, and how long is it going to be before this degrades into violence?"
"Also, does God allow his holy servents to be worked upon?" King asked, also looking pissed. "You look like something out of the Space Age, but it looks like an angel is still an angel, only you seem more fucked then a regular angel." He still didn't count Edd as an actual angel in the end, so he spoke the same way he always did.

"JESus...!"
Well, OBVIOUSLY the decapitation was not a pretty thing to watch. That kind of went without saying. But the fact that Raz's reaction was to instead give King a look with a "really?" to express his incredulity pretty much said something too.
Double D let the blasphemy escape his attention, his face rigid in a quietly horrified expression as he looked over the new angel. And that meant really look; his eyes were glowing softly with intense internal reading. But his aura was damn near confusing. A splotch of light energy, like an angel should be, with a twinge of darkness and pure chaos sewing them together. What a fitting assumption, the boy's aura, in the Angel of Light's eyes, appeared like a tattered rag doll with foreign pieces attached to complete it.
He blinked, the glow fading from his eyes gradually as he shook his head back to alertness. He had never seen anything like this before. Really, he should feel terrible that a man was dead, a man a few of them knew (he watched Percy follow Masahiro back inside for comforting purposes out of his peripheral), but in all honesty, he was.. curious. The inquisitive side of his old nature began to resurface.
Only he ventured a step forward. "...what... ARE you?"

Seven was smiling when the reactions happened. Quite a few of the people seemed upset, shocked even. The teen's eyebrows angled downward and his smile faded a bit. He seemed a bit hurt, but overall he seemed confused. He looked down at the headless body as the words came, many of them piling over the top of each other.
"I was just taking care of a problem..." he stated. He sounded more confused than he looked.
He looked towards the teenager with the crystal like wings. Wow, those were pretty. They reminded him a fair bit of holographic light technology, but there was no evidence they were mechanical. He'd never seen something like that naturally though. He seemed puzzled by how he'd asked who he was. What was he?
"Uh... it's Project 777, but everyone calls me Seven," he said. He glanced at the others, feeling a bit of unease in regards to the teenager with green hair. And they were still glaring at him... he looked back towards Edd, "Um, did I do something wrong...? Everyone's glaring at me..."

Kyle let his glare drop a bit at Seven's words. He supposed he was glaring a bit strongly... Call him biased, but he didn't trust the boy for the simple fact he was an angel. Other than Edd, Kyle's interactions with angels hadn't been on the positive side of things. "I'm sorry..." Kyle mumbled.
Mr. Copycat took a step forward. He looked toward Seven and smiled, though his tone was firm. "Killing people for whatever reason tends to be frowned upon in our world."
He wasn't sure if Seven was new to the island or not. Based on some of the boy's actions, he seemed new. But either way, it seemed a good idea to get the warning out there.

It's official. He's a nutcase, Trevor thought. But I guess he doesn't understand what he's doing. So something's gotta be said. He shook his head. "I don't know where you're from... Seven... but killing people is wrong. Especially when there's no good reason to kill them. This man did nothing to you, as far as I know of, and thus there was no reason to kill him. King, don't even," Trevor said when King opened his mouth. The other boy shut up. "So yes, we're very upset, especially since he was a friend of our companion who just went to the back."
Masahiro opened the door to his room and facepalmed. "A month's worth of research, an innumerable amount of resources, and the life of a good friend... gone." He put his sword up and opened his dresser, looking for something, anything to salvage this horrible tragedy. "Oh thank goodness for small favors... the blueprints. At least he'll never get these." He put them in his coat and then sighed. It was only then that he noticed Percy. "... Hello there," he said with a soft smile. "Come to make sure I'm ok? I'll... be fine eventually, I'm sure. Knowing Trevor and King, asshole will get the boot and no blood will have to be shed... I hope," he said after turning his head softly.

Double D had an answer, somewhere, but he was too caught up in his own confusion and concern, holding his chin and biting one of his digits in worry. He remained quiet as the others articulated things more blunt than he would've hoped, but... it was a start.
Now that this... Seven had stepped up to him, Double D was looking over him carefully. Experiment? Surely he had an interesting tale to tell. It seemed unfair, to not let him have his chance to tell it.
And... he seemed to take a liking to the Angel of Light. It was... kind of charming, really.
"..n-now, everyone, let's not jump to conlusions," he eventually spoke, turning around to face their shocked looks and unknowingly giving Seven a clear shot of his wings from behind. "He obviously must be...new, and perhaps a little naive. His reference to himself as a 'Project' leads me to believe he may have a bit of a... different upbringing, shall we say?"
"Are. You. Kidding."
"I-I just think it's only fair...!" Already Double D felt some negative energy from his companions, sensing their building discontent. "I-It's better than letting him go to harm others, right?"

Seven's confusion didn't fade as he was told killing for any reason was wrong. And then the handicapped man had said world. His expression shifted to one a person might have trying to figure out the top from a bottom in an optical illusion. He seemed a little pained and uncomfortable as Trevor spoke. His eyes lit up and a smile returned at Trevor's words.
Edd had turned at this point in his attempt to calm everyone down. It was this action that caused Seven's mouth to pause before any sound actually came out. He leaned forward a bit, squinting his eyes. No matter how he looked at it, he couldn't see anything that was forming those feather-like blades of light. He looked up at the negative expressions and the smile returned.
"Oh, there was a reason! I don't know about the 'for any reason' thing, but there was definently a reason! See, he was the owner of that mecha thing over there," Seven slipped his sword into the belt at his waist before pointing at the charred wreckage, "And anyone that uses those things have no respect for life! I was just protecting everyone! Did you think I just killed him in cold blood? Wow, no wonder you were glaring! Its okay, you don't have to worry. I'm not insane."
"By the way, what are those feathered shard things?" Seven ask as he indicated Edd's back, "They look kinda like holograms but I'm not seeing a device to make them."

Crow raised an eyebrow at Seven's explanation of why he'd attacked the guy. That was a bit biased, saying that anyone who used a mecha had no respect for life. She really had to wonder what a mecha had ever done to Seven. And of course, he claimed he wasn't insane. Which meant he probably WAS insane. Christ.
"Who told you those things about mecha users?" Mr. Copycat asked delicately. He wasn't stupid enough to try aggravating Seven. That would likely get him killed.
When Seven indicated Edd's wings, Kyle decided to speak up. Maybe it was out of place, but he didn't trust Seven. "They're his wings," Kyle said. "Double D's an angel."

Trevor and King both listened to Seven's explanation on why he killed the poor man. At this point, both of them had the very same thought in their mind, thus making them one of thought. What a fucking loon. But then, what really blew their mind was Double D. It seemed that he was not only unbothered by Seven, but rather he was suggesting that they let Seven stay. Not one to be undaunted by anything and hide his thoughts, Trevor say five simple words. "DOUBLE D! BACK ROOM! NOW!" And thus proceeded a comic segment in which Trevor dragged Double D to the back room by the arms and closed the door. The following was a rather funny segment in which, although King couldn't really make out what the two were saying, he could hear their tones as well as see the shadows of their silhouettes.
Trevor sounded rightfully upset about the situation, as King saw it. It sounded like he was trying to make points about why letting Seven stay with them was a bad idea. But Double D, being the almost motherly individual he had always been, even when Felix was mommy, managed to cut Trevor off mid-speech and state his own reasoning with a very firm tone. Trevor kept trying to make his points, but Double D kept shooting him down. It was by this point that Trevor seemed to mouth off and then Double D pulled the ultimate humiliation move. King grimaced as he saw Double D's silhouette take Trevor's by the ear, tugging on it as he started lecturing the green-haired narcissist. The battle was over. Trevor had lost and, naturally, had to play the messenger. The minute both parties left the room, Trevor slumped towards Masahiro's room, defeated.
"Perceval, I may need your help later on," Masahiro said softly, hugging the boy and then sitting down. "I'm not gonna bother the townsfolk for the resources again. I'm gonna go get them by hand next time. However, I want to ask the others to help me. The project's gonna be a bit smaller this time, but I think with everyone's help, we can make it work." He smiled widely. "I promise I'll never let you down aga-."
"Masahiro, I come with very bad news," Trevor said. "I'm sorry mate, but... That angel's staying. Double D... upbringing... insanity... this shit has bad vibes all over it and... Masahiro...?" At that point, Masahiro's whole body seemed to freeze up and his face was stuck in that wide smile position. "Masahiro? Masahiro, answer me... oh god, my words turned him into a mime! What am I going to tell Per... Oh hello there Percy."

This was SO damn hard to wrap their heads around. Ed bit his lip as the villagers cleaned up the mess, giving Seven an unsure grin. Raz was rubbing his head, and Eddy was just flatout dizzy. What the hell was possessing Sockhead THIS time!?
Double D knew right away this was going to be difficult. Masahiro's steadily-growing rage speak was proof of that. Percy could only blink helplessly, poking his stiff lover. "...Masi?"
"Masahiro, at the very least hear me out." Double D bit his lip, disturbed by Masahiro's stillness. It was eerie. "This boy was educated in a harsh environment. He was probably raised to be a weapon of sorts in his world, hence his... profenciancy. In all, well, he literally doesn't know any better."
A sigh. "...he'll be my responsibility, I promise. Let me teach him the worth of life before he kills again... please."

Seven gave a rather large grin at Mr. Copycat's question. He sure seemed to be happy he'd been asked that question. His response came just before Kyle asked his question, leading to his response to what the green haired teenager had said coming in the same few sentences.
"My teachers! They taught me how to fight, too! Uh, angel? You're joking, right? I mean," Seven spread out all six of his wings. The top wings had an impressive span over eight feet. He indicated them, "I've never seen an angel with anything but feathered dove wings."
There wasn't really a chance for a response before Trevor pulled Edd back into the house and the yelling began. Seven blinked at the direction things had gone, rather focused on the silhouettes that could be seen due to their location in the house. He couldn't hear what they were saying, but he did wince a bit at the indication that Edd had yanked on Trevor's ear. It wasn't until the shouting stopped that he looked back towards the group still outside.
"If he's an angel, then why was he upset earlier? Aren't they supposed to fight for what's right?"
