Full Name: Pigment Azul al Fine
Nicknames: Pig
Age: 14
Height: On the short end of 4’
Weight: 87 lbs
Gender: Male
Race: Fluffylion
Alliance: Good
Home: At one point, it was Contour Village, Rinascita in the Doodlespace, but now that the Doodlespace is gone, it’s Earth!.
Franchise: The Continuing Saga of Tree, Todd, and Snowy/Doodlespace (Same disclaimer as Black Cat; list as Continuing Saga in lists for ease)
Physical Description: Pig has two forms. One is the form he was born in, and the one he took within the Doodlespace. The other is a form he took after awakening in the physical world. They’re mostly identical, with only small physical changes between them, such as Pig’s hair.
In his original form, Pig appears much like an anthropomorphic lion cub. His entire body is covered in long, coarse blue fur, save for his fingers and toes, which have exposed yellowish skin. The fur is long enough that it covers his groin should he stand naked, so there is no worry of “flashing” in that case. He has a long tail that is tipped with a paintbrush like tuft of dark blue fur. He also has cheek stripes that are this same dark blue color. While Pig’s right ear is in perfectly good shape, his left ear is a torn mess. It literally looks like it has decayed away, which isn’t too far from the truth. In order to tie off some of the longer bits of his fur, Pig wears yellow ties around his intact ear, his tail, and his neck, the neck one mainly to hold back a mane that he has begun to develop recently. For clothing, he typically forgoes shirts and shoes completely and only wears a simple pair of brown shorts.
The above described form no longer exists, because it was ripped to pieces by a monster made of pure ink.
In his more anthropomorphic form, Pig looks mostly the same as the above described form, but there are many noticeable differences. Were he to stand naked, it would become apparent that Pig resembles some kind of furry Frankenstein than any normal anthro. There are several stitch marks on his body, several of them appearing to indicate that he was literally stitched together from different body parts. His left ear (which is now completely intact), his torso, and his right leg all have stitches that go completely around that indicate that they were at least reattached to his body at some point. Pig also has a full head of dark blue hair, and lacks the mane he had been developing back in Doodlespace. His eyes are a black color generally associated with artificial beings in his “home world”, though they’re really just a relic from his old form in the Doodlespace. There has been a noticeable change in attire since his reincarnation, as well. Since he began working at a debt collection company, he has begun wearing their work uniform just about everywhere. This usually consists of a red shirt, a brown work jacket, brown slacks, a brown leather belt, and a pair of grey goggles he wears on his head. Pig continues to forgo shoes. The jacket has a star shaped patch on its left shoulder.
Weapons: Pig doesn’t carry weapons, mainly because his power means he doesn’t need any.
Abilities/Powers: Pig can create anything. Specifically, he has the power to manifest objects using paint and his paintbrush-like tail. Because of this power, he is essentially the antithesis of the Black Cat. Obviously, a power like this has limits, and it’s more powerful in paper-based universes than in ones like the Island.
When Pig was killed in the Doodlespace, his body was tainted with some of the Black Cat’s ink. This ink normally turns Doodles into more ink creatures like the Black Cat, but Pig was saved before his ink corruption could set in and assimilate him into the Inkspace. Unfortunately, this corruption remains in Pig’s body, and whenever he is particularly stressed or close to the Black Cat itself, it tends to act up. When this happens, Pig’s body becomes fluid and monochrome much like the Black Cat’s, but instead of being black, it’s white. The parts where Pig’s body had been stitched appear to be eroding away, and his face is curled into a mad grin. He lacks much control over himself in this form, and it is entirely likely that he would kill someone while in this state.
Skills: After coming to Earth!, Pig learned some fighting skills. It’s of no particular fighting style; he just wanted to learn how to kick ass (which he’s rather good at for being only 4 feet tall)
Personality: Pig is yet another one of those “natural leader” types, in that he is good at leading people around. He tries to stay optimistic for other people’s sake, but he’s prone to making some rather stupid hero decisions. He often acts rather silly, but it’s more of a façade than anything, and he can drop it at any moment to start kicking ass. He has some rather deep seated traumatic memories in regards to the Black Cat, and it’s not uncommon for him to act rather… violently when they’re brought up.
History: ((MASSIVE DOODLESPACE SPOILERS AHEAD))
Pig was in the Doodlespace at the height of the Gothic War, a conflict between the two major countries of the Doodlespace: the Kingdom of Opus and the Kingdom of Rinascita. When the war ended, Pig was two, and one of many children orphaned by the war. He, along with another Fluffylion named Easel, was adopted by a soldier from Opus, whose name was Accelerando al Fine. Accelerando (who went by the nickname of Ace) eventually settled down in the small village of Contour in Rinascita. Initially, the villagers were wary of an Opian veteran living in their village, but as time passed, they began to accept the small family. Pig and Easel grew older, and Ace began to invest in a personal dream of his: building a flying machine. There were already prototype models in existence, but many were crude and could not fly long distances. Pig and Easel both supported Ace in this endeavor.
When Pig was nine, Ace finally succeeded in his endeavor. Ace died that same day in a terrible accident. That day, everything had gone well until a sudden inkstorm set in. The inkstorm started while Ace was flying his machine, and melted through an entire wing, sending the machine plummeting toward the ground. Disregarding anything that would keep him safe during this ordeal, Pig ran toward the wooded thicket the machine had fallen into. The sight he found there would forever haunt him. Ace was crouched over, gasping, his body melting into the same ink that had come raining down from the sky a few minutes ago. Ace launched himself at Pig and managed to tear much of Pig’s left ear off before the corruption in Ace’s body progressed enough that he just melted into a puddle of ink. When Pig was eventually found, Ace’s body was completely gone, and Pig was completely unresponsive. It took him several days to even respond to anyone; the memory of events had traumatized him so badly he couldn’t even talk. He ended up blocking the memory of the event out of his mind almost completely.
Five years passed. After Ace’s death, Pig and Easel were taken in by the village elder, whose daughter, Palette, they were good friends with. People continued to gravitate to the village, including one family of Cabbits who had brought their sickly son, Simile Staccato, to the village because of the clean air there. Pig befriended Simile, and then gave him the completely unfitting nickname of Sly.
On the fifth anniversary of Ace’s death, Easel was killed by a creature taking the form of a Fluffylion made of ink. Easel was stabbed through the chest by this creature, who soon became known as the “Black Cat”, and then quite literally melted away in the same way Ace had. The village was sent into a terror at the sudden murder in broad daylight, and became convinced Easel had been killed by some kind of monster made of ink. That night, Pig awoke to find the town covered in an “Inkspace.” He and Sly only barely managed to escape from the Black Cat, who had come after Sly and his family next. Pig and Sly ran all through the night to the next village, where they found Palette and some other people from the village who had managed to escape. However, Pig and Sly were not safe. The Black Cat continued to follow them and their growing group of refugees from town to town, killing all in its path and expanding its Inkspace. Soon enough, Pig’s group were denied entry to any villages in Rinascita, as news had spread that the Black Cat followed any survivors of its rampages and wreaked havoc upon any towns that sheltered them. Pig’s group of refugees eventually escaped to the neighboring kingdom of Opus, and Rinascita was left to be consumed completely by the Inkspace.
Upon arriving in Opus, Pig discovered that Rinascita had been considered forsaken and devoid of life. News of the spreading Inkspace had led to Opus beginning to try to build some kind of barrier between their kingdom and the now lifeless kingdom of Rinascita. Pig travelled to the home of the influential da Capo family and requested asylum for his group, which they granted. The group managed to stay in this city for nearly two months before anything happened. Pig struck up a romance with the young heiress of the da Capo family, Legierro da Capo. But their happiness couldn’t last forever. The spreading Inkspace eventually consumed the barrier the Opian government had set up, and the Black Cat spread his influence into Opus. Once again, Pig was forced to flee.
Things only continued to get worse from there, starting with the attacks of multiple Black Cats at once. People in Pig’s group started dying, including Palette. Others began to be horridly injured by the Black Cat. Things went from worse to just plain horrid when Sly was killed by the Black Cat. Before he could die, Sly went completely insane and killed anyone who was still alive, which numbered about ten people. Pig was the only one left alive by the very end. He was left with no choice but to continue travelling across the Doodlespace. Soon enough, he was left with only one last place to escape to: the End of the World. There was nothing there but wasteland. With the Inkspace at his feet, one arm completely gone, and one eye nothing but a mess of scars, Pig awaited the inevitable end. The Inkspace flowed over him, and Pig found himself inside a space made up of just nothing. He felt his body begin to melt away, and soon began to see Black Cat versions of all of the people he’d ever known. He’s still not sure if they were hallucinations or not. He eventually slipped out of consciousness.
((MASSIVE DOODLESPACE SPOILERS END HERE))
Before he could die, Nicholas Flamel pulled Pig from the Inkspace. He had done it without Ford Blackstaff, the creator of the Doodlespace and the Black Cat, learning. By pulling Pig from the Inkspace, he achieved the same purpose Pig’s death would have: removing any trace of the Doodlespace from the sketchbook and causing the Inkspace to collapse in upon itself. Ford moved on with forcing Yggdrasil to harbor the Inkspace and created his pact with the Black Cat, but Flamel began refashioning Pig into a defense mechanism to be used in case Ford tried to turn against Flamel or Ford was overtaken by the Black Cat. After being granted his new powers and rebuilt for the most part, Pig was sent to another Earth.
Pig awoke without much idea of where he was. Flamel appeared not soon after Pig awoke and informed him of why he’d saved him, and what his purpose was. Pig would remain on Earth! until the moment Flamel needed him to fight the Black Cat. With that in his mind, Pig was left to gain his bearings on his own. Eventually, Pig decided the best way for him to observe things would be to join a particular debt collection/delivery firm on Earth!. He ended up being assigned a particularly ditzy girl named Mallory Hobbs as a partner. Somehow or another, while doing a job, the two of them ended up being sent through dimensions to the Dimensional Island. Unbeknownst to Pig, the monster that destroyed his home is also on the Dimensional Island, having come through with its master…
Other: hay guys remember when I was all like "Black Cat's going to be the only Doodlespace character" yeah I lied
Doodlespace is an original setting of mine, and is actually an in-progress (and long on hiatus) webcomic of mine. That entire history section, along with Black Cat’s history section, are the entire story of that webcomic, hence the spoiler tags. However, I can definitely confirm this time that NO OTHER DOODLESPACE CHARACTERS WILL BE APPEARING ON DC. That means if I ever get this webcomic going, no one will be allowed to RP Doodlespace characters. If you want to, you’ll have to get my permission, and you better have a DAMN good reason for these people being still alive.
