Full Name: ☼☺♣ (in case you can't see that, it's a sun, a smiley face, and a club)
Nicknames: Twink (earthly nickname)
Actual Age: No more than a year or so more than it takes a Star to mature and rise
Mental Age: Preadolescence
Height: Short
Weight: Extremely Light
Gender: Male
Race: Star Kid (a young Star Spirit) (currently in a plush doll's form)
Alliance: Good
Home: Star Haven
Franchise: Mario Bros. (of the Paper Mario series)
Physical Description: His borrowed corporeal form is a small (about the size of a human child while he possesses it, half a foot tall unpossessed) white plush doll with pointed ears and brown button eyes sewn on. He wears a long-sleeved shirt, shorts, and hat made from the same yellow cloth, a brown belt and shoes, a purple vest, and a purple feather in his hat (let's call it macaroni). Around his neck hangs a Lucky Star pendant.
If he is not possessing an object like the plush doll he currently inhabits, most (if not all) mortals would see him as a small floating five-point star with a face. If you could grasp the true form of ☼☺♣, you'd see a young humanoid boy with starshine yellow skin with ears pointed like the crest of stars wearing somewhat duller yellow overalls.
Weapons: None
Abilities/Powers: As a Star Spirit, Twink has the ability to grant wishes he feel are deserving enough to be answered. Being only a kid however, he can only grant small-scale wishes, unlike older Star Spirits who can grant grander ones. Twink becomes stronger through the wishes made though him, as evidenced by how the tables turned in his fight with Kammy Koopa after Princess Peach continuously prayed for him. By the time he reaches Dimensional Island, Twink can already perform a small number of magical abilities, mostly defensive and supportive... mostly...
Refresh: An ability learned from Eldstar, he can replenish his own or another's health by up to 4 HP; he is still to young to know how to replenish FP without taking it from someone else (see ability below) at the time being.
FP Drain: Twink can drain magical energy from enemies for use by himself and whatever allies he is with at the time. If one were to ask a psychic from Ness's universe, they'd probably compare it to an ability they're familiar with they call "PSI Magnet."
Twinkle Barrier: A shield that can deflect most magical attacks, including Dark Star. It is, however, susceptible to typical shield killing abilities and to thunder-based attacks.
Hypnosis: Similar to Mamar's Lullaby in that it can put opponents to sleep, but also similar in the fact that it doesn't work on all opponents.
Starstorm: Weaker than Skolar's but still effective in its own right.
Skills: Handling all the small wishes of the Mushroom World, Twink has developed a wholesome understanding of those kinds of small desires and the emotions behind them. But he lacks the understanding of cosmic events and consequences gained by granting the bigger wishes older Stars handle. Twink can be very nimble and quick as well, and his time spent with Peach has also helped him learn to be very good at sneaking around hostile areas without detection--an ability that earned Peach herself the fan nickname "Solid Peach."
Personality: Twink is known for his sunny disposition and polite attitude. Handling chiefly the smaller, relatively insignificant wishes, Twink has become somewhat wise beyond his considered "mental age," but he is still quite naive compared to more experienced Star Spirits such as the one Earthlings know as Geno. Fiercely loyal, Twink will defend those he cares about even if his opponent is much stronger than him. He is also very respectful of of those of high respect and standing, such as the honorable Star Elders, the Mushroom Kingdom Princess Peach, the legendary hero Mario, and the great fabled Star Guardian ♥♪!?. Twink refused to either confirm or deny the rumors that he has a childish crush on Princess Peach, and he got just downright snippy when asked about similar rumors about him regarding Misstar.
History: ☼☺♣ was born, like most any other Star Spirit, in the cold regions of Starborn Valley. There, he spent his childhood maturing until he could rise to Star Haven to grant people's wishes. Due to Star Spirits being given names unpronounceable by mortal tongue, Star Kids who tended to interact with mortals more often then others would take on earthly nicknames. He took on the nickname Twink, derived from the word twinkle that is often used to describe a star's glow. Twink finally matured into and rose to secure his position in Star Haven not a moment too soon. For at that moment, Lord Bowser, King of Koopas had infiltrated Star Sanctuary with the help of Kammy's magic, stealing the Star Rod and imprisoning the seven Star Elders in playing cards with it. Bowser went on to use the Star Rod to raise Mushroom Castle high into the air with Princess Peach inside, and then he made himself invincible in order to hand Mario a near-fatal beating.
Trapped in her own castle, Peach wished desperately for someone to help her in this troubled time; as luck would have it, Twink was the one to pick this wish up. But without the power of the Star Rod or the guidance of the Star Elders, Twink could not grant her wish by conventional means... so he descended to Mushroom Castle to help her in person (figuratively speaking). Given Twink's young age, he could only handle particularly small wishes, and the best he could offer Peach was helping her eavesdrop on the Koopa Troop and relay information to Mario during his quest to rescue the Star Elders. At some point however, Bowser discovered how Peach was getting her information to his archenemy, so he imprisoned Twink and had Peach tied up and kept nearby at all times to keep a closer eye on her. Twink was left unable to help as Bowser fired up his new Power Platform to amplify the Star Rod's power to the point where not even the liberated Star Elders could stop him.
However, Twink was freed to join the fight just as Mario was learning of Bowser's improvements. With Peach's wishes to strengthen him, he was able to beat Kammy in one-on-one combat. This is what gave the two the idea to have Peach do the same to empower the Star Elders, and Princess Peach made one big wish dedicated to all her friends and her kingdom at large. As the wish-strengthened leaders of the Star Spirits returned to the battle, Twink was delighted when they invited him to join in on depowering Bowser. Without his unfair edge, Bowser was soon defeated by Mario and his handful of new friends. With that, Twink fulfilled his role in helping Peach in her predicament and gained a lot of respect up in Star Haven. As the Star Elders placed Mushroom Castle back where it belonged and returned the Star Rod back to its sanctuary, Twink was forced to say goodbye as well. As badly as he knew he'd miss Mario, Peach, and company, his place was in Star Haven granting wishes.
As time went on and Twink continued to handle the small, relatively more insignificant wishes of the Mushroom World, Twink grew somewhat in power, maturing somewhat as well. One day, the Star Elders summoned Twink to Star Sanctuary for something apparently very important. They explained to him how the fabled guardian of the Star Road--known to the stars as ♥♪!? but Geno to those on Earth after the doll he normally "borrowed" as his corporeal form--learned of the evil Smithy's rebirth and set out to end him again. The seven leaders of the Star Spirits had been keeping tabs on Geno from afar and learned of his plans to absorb the powers of four godly artifacts to accomplish his goal. Twink's mission was to find Geno and accompany him on his mission, all while keeping an eye on him for the Star Elders and immediately send them report should anything go wrong. When Twink asked why he was being trusted with such a task, the Elders simply pointed out his experience with the surface-dwellers.
Descending back down to Earth, Twink was sorely tempted to go find his old pals Mario and Peach, but he restrained himself on the grounds that he had a mission to attend to. Wandering into Merrymore, Twink discovered a discarded elf plush doll that the owner apparently tossed aside because he'd "grown bored of it." Feeling sorry for the doll, Twink possessed it and made it his corporeal form the same way ♥♪!? made Geno's his, accenting his new form with a star pendant like the one Peach once sent Mario for luck. Once Twink finally made it to Dimensional Island to find Geno, he began searching around for information until he caught wind of a wooden puppet among companions including a blue hedgehog, a kitsune, and a Nimbus person traveling to a place called the Frost Temple. As soon as that bit of information got to him, he made a beeline in the direction everyone pointed out this "Frost Temple" to be in...
Other: Twink's doll form was thought up and drawn by Nintendo-Nut1. She has also given her approval for his use in the Four Temples story arc.
