Transfer of ownership from Pieandchips after week-long delay
Full Name: King Bowser Koopa
Nicknames: Bowser, Koopa King, Lord Bowser, The Great Bowser, The Boss of Bwahaha, King Dad (his kids), Koopums (his mom), Monsieur Turtle Bits (Broque Monsieur), and the COUNTLESS names Kamek and Kammy Koopa came up with for him
Age: Unknown (probably close to Mario’s)
Height: Tall and hulking
Weight: EXTREMELY Heavy
Gender: Male
Race: Koopa
Alliance: Evil
Home: Darklands, Bowser’s Keep
Franchise: Super Mario Bros.
Physical Description
Bowser is a huge, burly, green-shelled Koopa, basically a giant turtle with intimidating spikes and horns. His bushy eyebrows and mane are fittingly a bright, fiery orange. He sports two small horns, many spikes on his shell, as well as along his tail. He wears several spiked collars around his neck and arms. He has three claws on each of his massive feet, which support his impressive girth. While his face and his shell are green, his underbelly and snout are flesh-colored, and his tail and limbs are an orange-tinged yellow with soft scales. On each of his hands are four claws. His arms are noticeably burly, indicating his vast physical strength. His bright red eyes are always a bit menacing, and this is heightened by his bushy, often-scrunched eyebrows.
Weapons
Bowser is a walking tank. Without weapons, he’s already equipped with claws, a gnashing bite, and fire breath. Even landing on his shell is dangerous, and he’s learned this and likes to curl up in his shell and practically steam-roll over enemies.
But he won’t fight fair, of course not. He also likes to throw bombs, cannonballs, and even members of his own troops from the safety of his flying Clown Car. However, he is also privy to using Chain Chomps as thrown maces, and even throwing, GEEZ, Mario at his enemies! Damn!
Abilities/Powers
Since Bowser is the King of Koopas, he possess the powers of many of the Koopa subspecies, such as Fire Bros' fire breath, Spiny's shell spikes, and Hammer Bros' hammers. Bowser's signature ability is breathing fire. He can choose to either breathe a long breath of flame or shoot many fireballs.
Bowser is also a skilled user in dark magic. This includes spells that can invoke fear, poison enemies, and cause massive damage with earth-shattering quakes. Also included, though rarely used, are lightning attacks, dark matter summoning, and teleportation.
Skills
Obviously, to keep up with the Mario brothers and anyone else who stands as a threat, Bowser requires some skills in tactical militant strategy in leading his Koopa Troop. Bowser has been shown on many occasions to be highly intelligent. Many of his plans often make use of high-tech equipment and complicated machinery designed and built himself. He has also shown himself to be quite adept at use of various magics, both innate and talisman-based. He often develops strategies in his conquest of the Mushroom Kingdom as well as defense against Mario, as evidenced by his division of power among his children and generals to act as governors over conquered lands, which is a sign of an intelligent and compromising leader
Course, if all that doesn’t work, there’s almost his extraordinary temper to compensate. Also, he can obviously take a number of hits without faltering. Basically, if you want a raging powerhouse, Bowser’s your Koopa.
Personality
Bowser is, overall, a typical villain of pure evil with immense hatred and anger. Cruel and ruthless, he is a power-hungry tyrant who leads violent attacks that threatens the lives of hundreds. Bowser's ultimate goal is to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom, and eventually, the entire universe. His infamous plans and numerous crimes, ranging from simply kidnapping Princess Peach to acts of terrorism, have earned him a reputation feared by the entire Mushroom World.
…except those that actually matter.
Yeah, Mario and Peach and everyone else who’s dealt with him at a personal level are well aware of Bowser’s borderline-comical behaviors. While he has shown intellect and a sarcastic wit, he has also acted with incompetence, primarily with an extraordinary lack of common-sense.
Bowser's temperament has been depicted varying from pure, driven evil to a comical child-like bratty villain. Despite this widely-opposing personality, any emotions other than anger or hatred have rarely been shown. Bowser has never been seen acting remorseful for his numerous atrocities and destruction to both the localized Mushroom Kingdom and the outer reaches of the universe. He also seems to lack a sense of empathy, which results in a disregard for any other life.
However, there have been moments when he has shown a more humane side. His dealings with his minions have been rather admirable in the past, and he appeared just as saddened as the others when Geno had to return to the stars.
History
Bowser has a very, VERY impressive evil-doer resume; All of which couldn’t possibly fit into one application. He has been a constant threat to the Mushroom Kingdom, right out of the womb. That’s right, even as a baby he terrorized the lands; he was mostly privy to Yoshi’s Island back then.
Though his plans and methods have varied, his goal has been the same; capture Princess Peach, take control of the Mushroom Kingdom (and eventually, the entire universe), and defeat his arch-nemesis, Mario. The constant struggle between these two have become legendary, and will continue on as long as we, as gamers, will them to.
There HAVE been a few times when this WASN’T so, such as when Bowser took a break to raise his kids, or, more importantly, when an even greater threat reared its ugly head and forced Bowser to *shudder* …work together with Mario. Of course, these ventures are usually geared by selfish reasoning; in their adventure with the Geno, he just wanted to get her darn Keep back from the Smithy Gang creeps!
Either way, even when Mario continues to come out on top, Bowser will never cease. And here at DC, that’s no exception.
Other
Bowser has presumably eight children, seven boys (Bowser Jr., Iggy, Lemmy, Roy, Morton, Ludwig, Larry) and one girl (Wendy). The mother of any of these kids are unknown, though Bowser attempted to pass off Peach as Bowser Jr.’s mother.
Pictures
I'm more inclined to enjoy his Bowser's Inside Story interpretation the best.
But here's his crazy fire-breath ta boot.
Sports is a common theme here, isn't it?
That's right. The Shakespearean struggle between them can be most epic.
...or not. XD
