Character I came up with on a whim alongside his brother, who will be applied for later.
Full Name: Charnold Metheodore McCoy
Nicknames: Char
Age: 22
Height: Average
Weight: Average
Gender: Male
Race: Koopa Troopa ("Fire Bro")
Alliance: Good
Home: Petalburg, Mushroom Kingdom
Franchise: Mario Bros.
Physical Description: He has the typical appearance of a Fire Bro but with a loosely closed medium dark blue vest and wristbands and casual black shoes.
Weapons: Usually his fireballs (see Abilities/Powers), but he can occasionally use his shell like a regular koopa too.
Abilities/Powers: Like any Fire Bro (otherwise, they wouldn't be Fire Bros; just regular koopas), Char has developed the innate ability to breathe balls of fire. With enough strength, he can breathe a steam of fire, but that that takes a lot of strength.
Skills: Char can juggle, speak a few different languages (including Spanish, Japanese, and Cheep Cheep), grill like nobody's business, and build scale models of houses and ships.
Personality: Though laid-back to the point of being considered lazy at times, Char can be diligent and hard-working when he needs to be. Contrary to his element's stereotypes, he is very even-tempered and patient. But pushing him to his distant limit is a very baaaad idea. Despite his cool demeanor, he is also somewhat notoriously soft, which can especially be seen in his relationship with his younger brother.
History: Being born to a hard-headed, militaristic Hammer Bro can't earn one high regards from their father when one has the personality of Char. Char grew up with his super-strict father and younger brother, as his mother had passed away giving birth to Winnie. Growing up under Colonel McCoy was like growing up in a military camp, and his relationship with his boys ran as cold as a frost piranha's bite in the northernmost part of Fahr Outpost. Char and Winnie were raised from an early age to develop some elemental ability, and ironic to their general personalities, they developed the powers of a Fire Bro and an Ice Bro, respectively.
As soon as Char was finished with his education, Colonel McCoy had him enlisted in his regiment, hoping life in the army would help make a "man" (so to speak) out of him. Char saw very little action until one day, during one of Bowser's usual take-over-the-Mushroom-Kingdom schemes, the Colonel had come up with a plan to lure their king's archenemy Mario into a trap that involved an invasion of the ever growing but quite defenseless Goomba Village west of Toad Town. The normally cool-headed Char ended up in a huge argument with his dear old dad over ethics and was subsequently suspended. Putting moral code over military loyalty, he sent a tip-off to Mario who was able to save Goomba Village without falling into the trap.
Char knew he could be tried for treason for that very action. So he snuck back home to get Winnie--he couldn't just leave the poor guy all by himself, especially considering the mood their dad would be in after his little stunt--and they ran off on their own. Their travels ended up taking them to the peaceful meadow village of Petalburg where they were welcomed with open arms. The two brothers have since settled down permanently in Petalburg but still travel on occasion.
