Full Name: Sylvanas Windrunner
Nicknames: The Dark Lady, Banshee Queen, The Lich Queen
Age: ? (As a High Elf, much less being undead nowadays, it is difficult to say.)
Height: ?
Weight: ?
Gender: Female
Race: Undead (High Elf)
Alliance: Lawful Evil (She continues to serve the Horde, yet her current actions are so questionable they disgust even the new Blood Knight leader of the Horde, Garrosh Hellscream.)
Home: The Undercity
Franchise: Warcraft Canon
Physical Description: Despite being undead, Sylvanas does not look decayed at all, which is probably why she's a source of great Fetish Fuel. Though she should look rotting and repulsive, whatever magic she used to infuse herself back into her body when she was a Banshee has apparantly also allowed her to retain some of her previous appearence. Though the curse of undeath has indeed changed her a lot. Her skin is now dark, not in the same sense of African dark, but it is almost a blueish or grayish color, something along that line. Judge it when you see the picture. Her eyes are also red orbs of hatred and loathing. No other color remains in those visuals except that bright, burning red. Her lips are black as night, almost like a goth's, but this is probably because they are devoid of life, after all. It's any wonder they're not falling off. And to further add to the gothic male's wet dream, Sylvanas has long, flowing black hair, though it is often hidden by the black hood she wears. The hood has two minor cuts in it for her long, pointed elvish ears to jut out of. Her body is lithe and feminine in design. And, of course, like any female, the armor she wears is designed to be showing. As a ranger, despite what she is, she wears leather. And though her pants and boots cover all skin, her leather breastcover is just that. It covers her breasts, leaving a good deal of skin to be seen, from the middrifty bottom to even some of the top, though her spaulders help deflect some of the top skin. She also wears wristwraps and gloves to help protect those parts of her bodies. As you'd expect from the Banshee Queen, her armor is dark in color and hold a gothic decor. Her spaulders even have skulls as part of the decoration to make them look more menacing of course.
Weapons: As the former Ranger-General of Quel'Thalas, Sylvanas uses the ancient Sunstrider's Bow, a composite longbow once weilded by Dath'Remar Sunstrider, ancestor to betrayer Kael'Thas Sunstrider. Arrows fired from Sunstrider's Bow are imbued as if they were flaming. Of course Sylvanas also likes to poison some of the arrows she uses for extra effect, especially with the lethal plague-like diseases created by her Forsaken scientists. She does duel wield two swords if it comes down to melee combat, but she personally prefers to avoid this.
Abilities/Powers: As the Banshee Queen of the Forsaken, she has the power to drain life from her victims, silence them to keep them from casting spells, and can even mind control those with a weak will. Her arrows, when poisoned properly, can turn a slain warrior into a Dark Minion under her control. As a former banshee, she has kept her powers to curse the living with her voice as well, thus weakning them and making them more sluggish. Finally, she can turn uncorporal to avoid attacks and move out of melee range.
Skills: As a former ranger, Sylvanas undoubtedly possesses great survival skills. She is considered a master of strategy and military tactics and as for her skills in archery, it is said that there is none better. She is also a great leader, able to think diplomatically as well as militaristically and keep her people inspired, which, yes, is still a challenge even though they're already dead.
Personality: In life, Sylvanas was what you'd expect from an elf. She could be snobbish and egotistical to a fault in the eyes of humanity, yet to her people she was kind, compassionate, and loyal. In death, she has lost all of this and more. She had become fierce and vengeful to a point that it was all she could think about after the control Arthas held over her had faded. Despite the show she had put on outside for her servents, however, the inspirational speeches and vows she made, the way she kept authority and order, Sylvanas had hated herself and what she had become. She viewed herself as cursed, existing only to destroy Arthas. Unfortunately for Azeroth, however, after Arthas' fall, Sylvanas had to choose to either come to terms with her undeath or lead the Forsaken to rest... she chose to come to horrifying terms with her undeath. No longer loathing what she is, she charges forward to do whatever she can to lead her people to victory. This means forcing the dead to come back against their will as her Forsaken troopers. In a way, she is becoming like the Lich King, and one of the Cathedral of Light's high priestesses, Lyricalla Margeret, has referred to her as the Lich Queen. She has become cruel and manipulative to her enemies and wishes to see them suffer. Yet, unlike the Lich King, as she told the new warchief, Garrosh Hellscream, her loyalties still remain to the Horde. After the Battle for the Undercity, Sylvanas had thrown her lot in with the Horde, no longer scheming to destroy them behind their backs. She will give aid to the Horde in the form of troops or supplies and show their champions whatever respect she can muster.

History:
In life, Sylvanas was well respected, being a part of the prominant Windrunner family. She did not slack around or act spoiled either. She joined the rangers, worked in the best interests of the High Elf people, and eventually became Ranger-General of Quel'Thalas, military leader of the High Elves. In the Second War, she sent troops to aid the Alliance in their battle against the Horde, but when Quel'Thalas began to burn, Sylvanas quickly moved into action. Discovering that the source of the forest's fires were dragons under control of the Horde, Sylvanas and her troops moved to trap them between themselves and Alliance forces. In the end, the Horde abandoned Quel'Thalas, the Dark Portal had closed, and peace had once again reigned for a time. Then the Third War came and with it... destruction.
The Undead Scourge came to Quel'Thalas, led by Arthas Menethil, who was but a Death Knight and the Lich King's servent back then before actually becoming the Lich King himself. Sylvanas had done everything in her power to keep him and his forces back, but it had been impossible. Arthas' forces were tireless and superior, and every elf they slew was added to the ever-growing army. Sylvanas had to abandon the outer gate of Quel'Thalas and retreated to the inner circle, where she attempted further to block his way. But Arthas pressed on and, using the Key of the Three Moons, broke in with his forces. Sylvanas finally saw that the Quel'Thalas capital, Silvermoon, was in peril and tried to send runners to warn them, but Arthas' gargoyles murdered them and eventually his forces targetted her directly. Arthas and Sylvanas battled, but Arthas came out victorious. And he chose not to be merciful.
Instead of finishing Sylvanas off right there and then, getting rid of a future enemy in the process, Arthas chose to torture and mutilate Sylvanas for how hard she made him work to take the elvin lands before murdering her. Then he extracted her soul from her body and made her one of his many banshees. As a mindless servent bent to Arthas' will, she served him in his future endeavors. From gathering the Book of Medivh to summoning Archimonde into the world, then holding Lordaeron for Arthas while he went to Kalimdor to subtlely aid in Archimonde's downfall so he could return and claim Lordaeron as his. Sylvanas had become one of Arthas' primary generals and, as a result, he had let her lead his banshees. This would turn out to be one of his biggest mistakes.
Ner'Zhul's power would begin to fluxuate and decline. As it did so, the control Arthas had over his undead servents also began to decline. One of the first people to regain control was Sylvanas, who pretended to work for Arthas in order to keep him from suspecting anything, but then repossessed her old body and had her banshees lead Arthas into a trap. There she struck with an arrow that paralyzed him, with the intention to torture and mutilate him the same way she had. Were it not for the timely intervention of the Lich, Kel'Thuzad, Arthas would've suffered for his crimes. Sylvanas, forced to retreat, turned to necromancy and altered her elvin teachings to become what she is today, a Dark Ranger.
She did, however, muse on her undeath. But fate did not allow her time to grieve. The foul dreadlord, Varimathras, tried to force her to tie herself to the Legion's will. Not wanting to sacrifice her newfound freedom, Sylvanas refused. So Varimathras aimed to force her. Sylvanas, however, used her master strategery to fight back. With her banshees, she possessed several varieties of creatures and their leaders. Ogres, bandits, trolls, and murlocs, all controlled by her, helped her to overcome Varimathras. Before she could kill him, however, he begged for his life and offered to serve. Knowing it to be a risk, she felt she could control him long enough at least to serve her purposes and thus let him live. She did not regret it.
With his aid, she learned of his brothers, Detheroc and Balnazzar. Detheroc had gained control of the human forces of the New Alliance, led by the Dark Knight Garithos, whose racist actions against the Blood Elves, as the High Elf survivors of Arthas' attack on Quel'Thalas came to call themselves, would lead them to join the Horde in the future. Sylvanas used her banshees to take control of these human troops and infiltrate the base. Even though alarm was given, it was too late. Sylvanas had slain Detheroc and Garithos and his troops had come back to his senses. Sylvanas, knowing she could use Garithos despite his arrogance and insolence, asked that Garithos aid her in defeating Balnazzar, offering him Lordaeron if he did so. It was a lie.
Despite his demonic forces, Balnazzar was defeated. To test his loyalty, Sylvanas had Varimathras kill Balnazzar. Despite his hesitation, Varimathras had supposedly killed him. Balnazzar had not died, however, whether on accident or by design, and returned to lead the corrupt, misguided Scarlet Crusade. Then she had Varimathras kill Garithos, which he did more eagerly by raining fire on him. This makes me think that he let Balnazzar live on purpose. After this, Sylvanas proclaimed that they would stake out their own destiny and destroy anyone who got in her way. Thus the Forsaken were formed. Sylvanas led her troops into Lordaeron, to the city that Arthas intended to rule before he was called away to Northrend to become the Lich King, and took it over. It became known as the Undercity, since it was a city under Lordaeron.
However, Sylvanas knew that the Forsaken could not operate on their own, no matter what the stake. As a result, she knew she had to throw her side in with somebody. She also knew she could never rejoin the Alliance, for the actions it had committed against her people was unforgivable. So it was just her luck that the Horde was in desperate need of new allies. She knew how strong they were herself, having fought against them in life, and knew she could use them to further her own ambitions. So she got into their good graces and eventually Thrall, the warchief of the Horde back then, recognized the Forsaken as honorary members of the Horde. Sylvanas also aided the remaining Blood Elf survivors who had moved back into Silvermoon into getting with the Horde, probably due to the fact she still considered herself an elf and honorary defender of Silvermoon and grieved over not being able to save it.
When the Alliance and the Horde began to move into Northrend, Sylvanas was only too happy to send her troops in order to help the Horde. Arthas, the target of their vengeance, was there. But Varimathras finally betrayed her and overrode the Undercity. Sylvanas made it to Ogrimmar, claiming she was nearly killed in the attack, and she began to plan with Thrall on a counterattack. But while they planned, Jaina Proudmoore, leader of Theramore, appeared with urgent news. In the wake of Highlord Bolvar Fordragon's death at the Wrath Gate to the hands of High Apothecary Putress of the Forsaken and his plague, King Varian Wyrnn of Stormwind called for a raid on the Undercity to bring death to Putress and bring Lordaeron back under Alliance control. Not intending to lose her city, Sylvanas moved into action at once. She came back into the Undercity with a Horde army and destroyed Varimathras. Thrall and his forces aided her. However, Varian and his Alliance forces were in the city as well. He moved in and attacked Thrall, aiming to destroy the Horde once and for all. Thankfully Jaina stopped a greater progression of death, but this battle reignited the flames of war between the Alliance and the Horde, shattering the little peace they held.
Meanwhile, Sylvanas led the Horde attack into Icecrown Citadel to destroy the Lich King. Coming upon the Halls of Reflection, she found Frostmourne and was told by the spirit of Uther The Lightbringer that to defeat Arthas, it would take a mighty army to confront him where he was created, the Frozen Throne. Then Arthas appeared and, despite their best attempts to defeat Arthas, they were forced to retreat. Eventually, a great force led by the Alliance, the Horde, and the Argent Crusade would come together, fight its way into Icecrown Citadel, and destroy the Lich King. A hero weilding the legendary weapon, Shadowmourne, found a box of treasures. One was a vial of Sylvanas' Blood, thus proving to her that Arthas was dead. With her vengeance gained, she had to think about things. With Arthas dead, she had no reason to exist anymore. Perhaps it was time to rest.
However, resting after all she achieved would be wrong. She would not stand for it. Thus the Forsaken continued on as the Cataclysm rampaged Azeroth. And Sylvanas not only came to terms with her undeath, but chose to take advantage of it. She had Putress' old plague produced, despite Garrosh Hellscream, new Warchief of the Horde, forbidding it, and she used it to take control of Silverpine Forest and Hillsbrad Foothills. She also invaded Gil'neas, the forgotten human civilization behind the Graymane Wall, and unleashed it on them. She has also employed the services of the Val'kyr, ascended vrykul women who once served Arthas, and uses them to raise the dead in a fashion similar to Arthas. She used them to attack and take Andorhal in the Western Plaguelands, then captured the Blood Elf Death Knight Koltira Deathweaver in order to purge him of his respect for fellow Death Knight Thassarian who is a human. In short, thanks to the Cataclysm, her actions have become more maniacal and she has been called out on it, even by Garrosh Hellscream.
But she does not care. The Forsaken will live on!
