Infi stepped back and watched the change overcome Felix. In truth, she'd never tried this on someone before; she wasn't sure if these results were normal. However, she was quite satisfied with the change. And most importantly, he was free.
"Congratulations," Infi said. She held her hand out to Felix again, though this time the red lines on the glove didn't glow. "How do you feel?"
She appeared to be observing Felix carefully. She had watched the markings form on his body, and while they weren't as numerous as the ones on some beings she had seen before, they were still very present. In truth, she was concerned for him. Only just a little bit, though.
There was also the issue of his God deciding to smite him then and there for his insolence. She never had been able to figure out if that God's personality resembled his Old Testament self more than his New Testament self.

With the change complete, Felix felt the pain subside... and for the first time since he had felt Edd, his state of mind was tranquil. Once the pain had ended, his lips curled upward. Taking Infi's hand, he looked up at her. His eyes didn't show a psychotic nature, but rather a more calmed one. To her question, he only needed one word. Were He to have wanted to smite him, He would've done so now. So that word described every fiber of his being perfectly.
"Liberated."
He examined himself lightly, or what he could exam. He saw the markings upon his hand, flowing down his fingers, and chuckled as he felt power flow between them. In a way, he felt stronger then ever. All of that without the insanity, without the influx of hatred, and without the disturbing duel nature of coexisting with darkness. He was free from his curse, born again with a new power... Of course, there was the matter of keeping his promise. Even in his heightened serenity, he had not forgotten that.
