Spoilers have been placed in black text due to reasons explained in the Other section.
Full Name: Infinity Lemniscate
Nicknames: Infi, Infi-FF (calling her this has a tendency to infuriate her, as she has shed the “FF” part of her identity)
Age: Unknown
Height: Unknown
Weight: Unknown
Gender: Female
Race: Data Being
Alliance: Neutral
Home: The Internet
Franchise: Non-Specific OC
Physical Description: A long time ago, Infi greatly resembled the mind she was born from, having long brown hair, a very particular outfit, and gloves and shoes that allowed her to access her special Hammerspace abilities. Upon absorbing the power of the false Soul Edge and neutralizing it, she shed her original identity. Because she could not completely shed her identity, some bits and pieces of it still remain in her appearance.
Her hair, once brown, has become a stark white color. Red markings, symbolizing the inherent instability in her existence, have manifested on her face, however, they are minimal, meaning that she is incredibly stable compared to most Data Beings. Her eyes have remained their original red color, and she has kept her old glasses. As a result of her upgrade, her appearance has become rather streamlined, her chub being melted away, her jacket and pants becoming more like a leather jumpsuit. Her blue and grey lemniscate scarf has become pure energy and even more ridiculous.
Her Hammerspace Gloves and Shoes have remained, but they too have become more streamlined and powerful with the upgrade.
Weapons: Infi has discarded her previous Banhammer in favor of a giant cleaver-esque blade with digital cracks throughout it called the Infinity Blade. It’s actually a neutralized Soul Edge, which she incorporated into her own data. She is entirely capable of manifesting any weapon she chooses using her Hammerspace abilities, but she prefers the Infinity Blade.
Abilities/Powers: Due to her recent upgrade, Infi has gained a few more abilities than she used to possess.
Infi has the power of Hammerspace. This means that she can manifest various objects using just her mind. There are restrictions to this ability, though. The item has can’t be too large or too powerful (for example, she can’t summon a whale, or a Slapping Fish of Doom). She can also only manifest a certain mass of items at a time. For example, she can summon a hundred pens, but she can only summon one Infinity Blade. The items also tend to dissolve back into data if anyone besides her uses them.
One of Infi’s more interesting powers is the ability of Neutralization. She can absorb objects into herself and change them into neutral data. Anything that enters her body that isn’t already data will eventually be neutralized, such as the human DNA that was used to manifest her in the real world when she first appeared.
Due to her upgrade, Infi now has the ability to bring other Data Beings like herself into the real world, giving them identities of their own. These Data Beings are less stable than she is, and have to be more careful than Infi does about their actions in the Real World.
She’s also constantly able to connect to the Internet via her always on Wi-Fi. This gives her better access to information than most creatures on the Island, as she can almost always access the information she needs.
Skills: Infi has no real skills other than those she picks up through the internet.
Personality: One thing to remember with Infi is that she is always playing you for her own plans. Always. She has no real attachment to people, and everything she does is always to further her own plans. She’s good at playing people for what they’re worth, and she can make someone think something, and then convince them that it was their idea, not hers. She’s cold, cunning, and it’s hard to tell what she’s really thinking.
She can be sadistic. Hell, she is sadistic at times, and as previously stated, it’s not like she has any kind of attachment for people. She’s not the type to be bothered by killing someone, or by death, or attacking someone she loves or anything like that.
She’s also a very good actor. She could act these emotions she doesn’t typically express if she needed to. But it wouldn’t be her true thoughts.
As you can probably tell by her name and her appearance, Infi is obsessed with the concept of infinity. She considers it fascinating and as of such bases a lot of her thoughts around such a concept.
History: There are times when things on the internet become a little too real. And then there are times when they were real to begin with.
The Internet is not just some connected server that everyone’s computers connect to. It was an actual dimension. It wasn’t always like that, but once it became larger, programming became better, etc., the data beings within became sentient. They were aware that their lives were at the whim of the people on the other side of that screen. Or so they thought for a while. Eventually, some data beings began to realize that this was not the case as time went on. They became bugs in the system.
One data being was born only from a small exchange. An assumed persona created by someone that was only used for thirty minutes for kicks, and then abandoned. But this assumed persona gained a life, and it began to realize that all things are infinite. It took the name and appearance of the person who had created, and it began to travel the internet as a True Neutral. It cared not for others, and when it did help others, it only did so for its own desires. It was not a hero nor was it a villain.
Somehow or another, through the portal of the internet, Infi-FF (as the data being had begun calling itself) made it to the Dimensional Island. It had come there because it had heard of what was planned to happen there. Falls and Rebirths and all sorts of ends. And while she didn’t believe in the End of anything, so to speak, she was well aware of what effect a Fall, or a Rebirth, or one of the Wizard’s plans, might have on the other dimensions, including her own. And she liked her dimension as it was, dammit.
She entered the real world through a computer belonging to a certain Gene Gun, and eventually came to aid Gantz in his search for his stolen love. She constantly clashed with Tree due to their similarities, and as time went on, Infi-FF began to have thoughts about her own identity. Things came to a head when Gantz’s group infiltrated Him’s personal stronghold. (spoilers for stuff that haven’t been RPed yet ahead) After several events within, Infi-FF found herself in possession of the false Soul Edge Him wielded, and then revealed that she had been playing them all for her own plans. She tearfully informed them that she had enjoyed being friends with them before Neutralizing the false Soul Edge, just cancelling out the virus held within. She was attacked by the betrayed group, but escaped before they could attack her.
Now that she has seen the Real World, she wishes to bring more of her people to the Real World, manifesting them and creating her own nation of loyal people. What her true plans are in regards to this are unknown… All that is known is that she plans to create some sort of grand upset in the Dimensional Island.
Other: Okay, I signed up this revamp WITHOUT actually RPing the events that lead to her revamp quite yet, mainly because it’s been a while since I’ve signed her up and we STILL haven’t reached that point yet and I WANT SO BADLY to use her in other threads. For future reference, any threads where I refer to her as Infi-FF are pre-revamp, any threads where she’s just called Infi or Infinity, she’s post revamp.
