Five months ago, it happened. The damage was thought to be irreversible. Hearts were broken. Lives shattered. My laptop's screen was sat upon and cracked.
Then, about a month ago, my warranty with Dell was improved, and now accidental damage (even pre-existing) is covered! A week ago, I sent my laptop in to Dell to get it repaired.
And now, Monday, March 21, 2011, it will return to me, in all it's unblemished glory!
Huzzah!
