A pale yellow koopa with a lazy left eyelid wearing a sky blue hoodie, darker blue pants, sneakers, and a green shell stood roughly in the middle of the food court and stared at one of the fast food booths. The sign above it read McDonald's in white over a red background, and the M was stylized from two yellow arches.
"McDonald's?" mused the koopa. "I've never seen any restaurant go by that name before... Wasn't he the guy who had the farm?"
"McDonald's is a major fast food chain in the human world," piped up a blue toad next to him in thick-rimmed glasses. The toad gave the koopa a friendly wave when he looked at him. "Hi. You're Koops, correct? You do look like the koopa I've read about in Princess Peach's report on her vacation abroad..."
