Full Name: KP Pete
Nicknames: King K
Age: 22
Height: Average
Weight: Average
Gender: Male
Race: Koopa Troopa
Alliance: Good
Home: Somewhere around Rogueport; boards at the Glitz Pit when fighting
Franchise: Mario Bros. (of the Paper Mario series)
Physical Description: KP Pete is an average koopa with a naturally red shell dyed gold. He wears black pointed shades and a black spiked collar and cuffs. His shoes are a dull yellow.
Weapons: His own shell
Abilities/Powers: Like most typical koopas, he can attack with his shell by pulling into it and firing himself at an opponent. Also like most typical koopas, his shell provides him some defense against most physical attacks unless he is flipped on his back or knocked entirely from his shell.
Skills: Pete is a moderately skilled fighter, specializing mainly in typical shell-shooting style but able to hold his own in basic hand-to-hand combat as well. He is also good at dancing, beat boxing, and surprisingly, computer programming.
Personality: A smooth and confident young man, Pete lives his life to the fullest. But he's also known for having a friendly and caring nature and is quite sociable wherever he goes, a trait that can endear him to his peers. This made him rather popular around the Glitz Pit Minor League, and even the normally cold and stoic Cleftor was caught crying to himself when Pete mysteriously disappeared. Pete talks in a dialect stereotypically associated with the African-American community, something he picked up on the streets as a kid.
History: Pete was born to a poor family in a rough neighborhood. Never having received much formal education, he signed up for a spot in the floating arena called the Glitz Pit, alongside two childhood friends, to help his family make ends meet. With him going under the pseudonym of King K, the trio called the KP Koopas slowly made their way up the ranks... slowly...
Shortly after his arrival, King K had the pleasure of welcoming the next newcomer to the Minor Leagues. It was a short, mustachioed human man in overalls going by the fighter name of The Great Gonzales. While Gonzales soared in the rankings, King K started growing wary of the painful risks inevitable in professional fighting.
When Gonzales was a mere few ranks from the match that would promote him to a Major Leaguer, he came into possession of a bouncing yoshi egg the local hotdog salesman wanted to cook. Next thing King K knew, Gonzales was asking he babysit his egg whenever he was fighting in the ring.
One day during Gonzales's horribly failed promotion match, King K left his friends to eggsit while he went to talk to the promoter Grubba about retirement. When he tried catching him in the ring following Gonzales's match, he witnessed something that horrified and disgusted him...
Later on, Grubba's manager Jolene came and told the rest of the Minor Leaguers that King K returned home for a break from fighting, much to he confusion of his friends whom he did not come back for. Gonzales, however, with the help of his friends and the young yoshi who helped him make it into the Major League, discovered that Grubba had drained him of his life force, among other fighters including the old fan-favorite champ Prince Mush, and hid his near-lifeless body. After Gonzales defeated the corrupt promoter and claimed the powerful gold-colored gem he used to drain his victims, they were all restored to normal health, including King K.
Inspired by Gonzales's brave actions in risking his life for everyone else, King K continued on as a Glitz Pit fighter. When Gonzales moved on to save the whole world from eternal darkness, King K was one of the many who lent his voice in support.
