The Arrival of Hell's Watchdog {OPEN}

Walking slowly and confidently into City Hall, Doggie was making sure to look around for any signs of danger. He had heard of completely random and arbitrary fights on the island, usually caused by madmen that stumble upon the island. Doggie scowled, a small growl escaping his fangs, scaring a man walking by him. This island was rife with crime and evildoers. Monsters roamed the streets, and evil was allowed to happen as though it were an everyday occurrence. Dekamaster had noticed the people of the island fighting back, and for that, he would forever respect the residents. But were they not technically civilians? This was just more of a reason to have the Space Police set up a branch on the island.

Stepping into City Hall, Doggie fingered the SP license in his pocket. If anything were to happen, he'd be sure to deal with it immediately. Perhaps, that way, he could persuade the people in here that the island did need the Space Police's power. If not, Doggie would probably continue to attempt persuading them, because he truly did want to protect the people here.

He looked around for any obvious people to talk with.

[OOC: Okay so Dekamaster's looking to form a Space Police branch on the Island, or at least, Void City. He probs would need to speak with the Mayor or some other authority figure.

Or we could have an evil dude come in and have a random fight. That's always fun.]

(OOC: Looking at my characters and Doggie's design, I can only really see a handful of them working at all. Since the plot for these guys kind of went elsewhere, I figure I can use them here. She's not a villain though... but I could see shenanigans occuring!)

Instead of getting obvious people to talk with, the wolf-like man would instead be treated to screams just outside the main hall. If he ran out to investigate, he'd see.... what appeared to be a cave woman on all fours and hissing at a panicked cat who in said panic was clinging to an old lady's face. The scream appeared to be coming from the old lady.

"Food dangerous! Old lady in danger! Ayla help!"

And then said cave woman sprang up and began rushing at the old woman and her panicked pet. It appeared she as going to punch the cat in the back... which was still attached to the old woman's face...

Cact was kind of sad. He hadn't been in this strange new place for very long, but he new he didn't belong. There were plenty of strange new creatures there, but none that he could talk to. It was most distressing.

He eventually heard a cry from the halls of the big building he was in, which he assumed to be some sort of municipal building. He really wasn't sure, and most of the people inside were either ugly as hell or terrifying.

Deciding to investigate in the hopes that he might find someone that might be at least somewhat friendlier to him. Who knew? He might even find another Cactuar.

That would pretty much be the best thing ever.

Of course, as luck would have it, he was instead treated to and old lady, what appeared to be a cat, and some weird feral lady. Very weird indeed. Humans never did that back where he came from.

Regardless, the fact of the matter was that the cat was clearly in danger. Cact ran quickly in that incredibly awkward way that only Cactuar could, and snatched the cat right off the old lady's face. Well, he tried to at least.

It went over rather horribly.

Instead of snatching the cat properly, one of the needles on his hands(?) ended up flying towards the cat. Cact immediately started making strange noises, mostly variations on Ge-Ka, clearly panicked.
To the outside observer though, it almost looked like he was dancing. Hopefully the scary cat girl wouldn't take this the wrong way.

Hearing the panic, Doggie immediately went outside to investigate. The situation was... rather odd. There was an old lady. A cat. A strange woman threatening the cat. And a dancing cactus. To be honest, Doggie hung out with a crossdresser who had once been forced into kissing a giant fly monster, so he'd seen weirder things, but this still ranked fairly high up in the "weird things Dekamaster has seen" list. Regardless, he couldn't let this lady's cat, or the lady for that matter, be harmed.

He instantly went ahead and analyzed the woman threatening the cat. She LOOKED human, but her actions and manner of clothing were decidedly... not. Alienizers had looked human before. Perhaps she was one? Regardless of whether or not the lady was actually human, Doggie decided to not take the risk and transform before jumping in. Pulling the SP license out of the back of his belt, Doggie jumped into the air, doing a flip, while opening it. "EMERGENCY!"

Armor suddenly covered Doggie, and he transformed into the rather impressive looking Dekamaster. He immediately landed in front of the woman's cat, holding his arms out while facing Ayla. "Wait just a moment, ma'am! There's no need to - "

And then he got interrupted. Because the punch hit him in the face.

It hurt.

Ayla was running on all fours as she tended to do when she was going at full speed. Her intention had been to uppercut the "food" to save the old lady. Several things then happened at once. First of all, some walking vegatation decided to dance over and attacked the prey. This caused Ayla to slow down, coming to two legs. Then something up and leapt in front of her and Ayla had a sudden reaction of reaching out and... punching it in the face.

And rather than it hurting her like a sane person would expect, she paused with her fist still resting on the tall thing's face. She suddenly leapt back with an impressive kick and landed about four feet back from Dekamaster.

"What you?!" she shouted, apparently unhurt by her punch... she then blinked and stood up straight, "Punch not hurt...?"

Cact really started freaking out when the weird dog thing in front of him transformed into a hard boiled super hero thing. What if he thought the little foliage was a criminal? That would be a really bad way to make first impressions on the new people. He ended up walking up beside Deka master, making the same exact pose that he was making. Hopefully it would get him on the doggy's good side.

He was pretty terrified of the weird feral cat girl too. What if she tried to eat him? That would be really, really, awful.

Dekamaster rubbed the side of his face. Ok. Wow. That hurt a lot more than expected. He shook his head, holding out his badge. "Doggie Cruger, S.P.D." He placed it back on the back of his belt, looking at Ayla. There appeared to be a strange dancing cactus. How odd. Doggie paid it no mind. He was tempted to kick it, but he refrained from doing so.

He had a feeling this was just a misunderstanding with one of the... odder residents of the island. There was no need for violence at the moment. "Ma'am, that... "food" is not dangerous. It is a cat, and is this woman's companion. Kindly do not attack."

Ayla tilted her head towards the strange thing that Dekamaster presented towards her. She didn't seem to understand it in the least. She looked towards Cact and a confused expression plastered her face. So... was that for eating then? She looked back towards Dekamaster as he continued his explanation... and ran forward until she was about a centimeter from Dekamaster, squinting at his mask.

"You strong! Ayla like!"

Oh God now the crazy cat woman was right next to the doggie protector. Cact wasn't entirely sure this was a good thing. He could vaguely understand what they were talking about, having been around humans sometimes on his home world. No one ever really spent enough time around Cactuar to understand them though. Double standards he supposed. What disturbed him was that the cat girl appeared to be hungry; the really bad part being that he was probably the most edible thing nearby that wouldn't be hard to kill.

He turned a somewhat lighter shade of green, creeping up a bit closer to Dekamaster. He also accidentally bumped into the doggie. Whoops. That would probably hurt, considering how many needles he was covered in.

Dekamaster blinked underneath the mask. "Uh... Thank you?" He turned his head to the right slightly, whispering to the old lady and the cat. "You should probably try and leave before she tries anything else."

And then a cactus bumped into him. He blinked. Was that cactus dancing? He knelt down to the cactus' level. "... Are you... sentient?" This island was weird.

Ayla looked around herself, tilting her head at poor Cact but deciding her surroundings were a little more interesting than the walking plant. The old lady had given up the cat at this point, and it had run off. She stuck her nose in the air and spun around, muttering quite loudly about the law enforcement in this city. Ayla finally turned back to Dekamaster and raised an eyebrow.

"Blue wolf know when Ayla at?"
