(OOC: Okay, all threads tagged as "Boundary Crisis" are open only to the four RPers who signed up for the plot by the same name (also known as Sakaime) and myself. THat makes the full list myself, FF, Edge, TSI, and SWL. All of you are required to be in this intro thread!)
Temperature: 115 °F. Weather: Sandstorm. The heavy winds, which only served to push the warm air against anything foolish enough to move around the desert, moved the dunes around the land almost like the waves of an ocean. In other words, a fairly normal day in some isolated area of Shifty Desert. Anyone that knew the location could easily predict that the temperature would not be dropping until that night, and the sandstorm would likely continue for the rest of the day.
...And they would be wrong. For a moment the storm picked up to hurricane force levels before it began to form a tight spiral. The howling wind made it hard, but not impossible, to hear the roar that came up as an area in the eye of the tornado that the wind had created tore as if someone was yanking a hole in reality. A flash of white and purple would be visible as a woman and electric squirrel were thrown out of it. The storm flashed away, the sand no longer flying, as the woman landed face first in the hot sand. The tear behind her closed with a sound not unlike shattering glass.
Prue Eveque sprang up off the ground in surprise at the heat, proceeded to trip several times backwards, and fell down again, this time on her back. She coughed from the heat and sat up, looking around, the Pachirisu on her shoulders staring with wide eyes at the unfamiliar territory.
"Wh..."
"What's going on here?!?!"

(OOC: Pardon me, I want to make Lena sort of the Butt Monkey here. XD)
Let's see, what kind of weather do think dark-haired people with glasses not like? They're not fond of blazing sunlight, and due to the person who is typing this having a traumatic experience at a beach, and this person being her semi self-insert, said person isn't too fond of sand was well.
... Okay, having it activate in battle was okay for two of her Pokemon, but having to deal with excess sand outside of one was something totally different.
This tended to be truer if you happened to have part of your body stuck in it.
And even truer if said part of your body was your top half, dropped into the blazing desert by means of a portal that sucked you in while you were on a jog.
A male Spiritomb stood (if that was the proper word to describe it) by a pair of dark grey jeans and white sneakers, attached to somebody whose upper body was, at the moment, stuck in the sand.
And suddenly, the girl's upper body suddenly sprang up, propelling her out of the sand. Her entire upper body was covered in sand, as being stuck in sand will kind of do that to you.
Ariana Rizzo, better known as Lena for whatever reason, then spit out a mouthful of sand before speaking.
"I hate sand."
The Spiritomb was looking around, wondering just when his trainer would take what was obvious (to him) into account.

(OOC: Laura's going to be revamped some time after this thread, but I've got some other apps I want to do before hers)
"FUCKING. SAND."
Laura angrily kicked a cloud of sand into the air. Yep. There was sand everywhere. You would think she liked sand, since her hometown was next to a volcano that was next to a desert in the middle of a jungle continent. Nope! She hated the shit out of sand.
Things that didn't help: She'd just been in Sinnoh a few minutes ago. Meaning she was still wearing long pants, an overcoat, and a scarf. She pulled off the scarf and coat and threw them to the ground, where a Roserade that had been dutifully following after her caught them.
"I'm choosing to blame this on Ian," Laura said to no one in particular. "I bet he pissed off a god or something. Palkia! I bet he pissed off Palkia! That's one of the Pokemon they worship up there, right? God, I dunno. Sinnoh has weird religions."
The Roserade nodded, though the expression on its face said that it really didn't agree.
"I don't get what Mimi sees in Ian, personally. He's completely useless and terrible at-- AGHPFF"
Laura spit some sand out of her mouth. This storm was ridiculous. She really wish she had something that would let her see in this. What were those things Devon Corp had been making? Go-Goggles? Pfft, no use in those anyways. She didn't need to go into the desert. At least until now.
And then Laura and Rapier were blown away by gale force winds.
The two hit a sand dune and lay there for a moment, just kind of staring at the eye of the storm where Laura was quite sure she'd just seen something tear open in the sky and toss out something. The storm abruptly stopped at that moment, and Laura sat up. The center of the once-storm looked like a bomb had gone off. She shook the sand from her hair and stood up.
"What in Arceus' name..." Laura looked toward Rapier, who was now picking her dropped clothes back up, and then started running toward the center of the storm.

He was fighting in the world championship. He couldn't actually get a clear look at his opponent, but that was of no matter! Bridget was winning! The Furret was trying extra hard for him!
The opponent's Pokemon used some form of attack, but Bridget dodged, and used Iron Tail! The battle was theirs!
Steven had been asleep in his bed, dreaming lazily. The Furret that had been around his neck had now gotten up and looked around their new surroundings, confused. They had been in his room before, now they were in a desert?
The trainer was still asleep, buried up to his neck in sand, like a warm blanket. He had an amazing ability to sleep. The responsible Furret, on the other hand, tried to wake him up. With a scratch.
"Ow!!" Steven yelled, bolting upright. "Bridget, what the he..." He looked around now. Sand, sand, and more sand. "How did we get here?" He realized he was still in his pajamas. At least they were cool. "Is this some kind of nightmare?"
Giving up, he got out of the sand dune and shook all the sand out of his PJ's he could. Which way led out? He didn't want to die here.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- OOF!!" With a Loud thud, what could probably be seen as a Lucario grunted after going a feet deep into sand head-first. Pulling himself out he looked aorund, his fur already covered in the salty bits he shook his head clearing the majority of it out. Now to go down the checklist.
Limbs, Check Scarf, Check Tail, Check Heart Rate, Still catching up Sand, MEGA Check
The lucario was in the middle what could be considered a wasteleand if not a 'Desert' by what he recalled. However in every aspect it was literally a Ocean of SAND. He started to wander along looking about, sand, sand, sand, more sand, oh and plenty of wind. He had no idea where in the name of Arceus he was, and this wasn't the kind of environment he was built for and frankly the heat and sun was not helping him since he was in fact part STEEL. He was wearing a scarf, more specifically a scarf made from the pokemon otherwise known as a Furret. However after spitting out a little bit of sand from the crash not too long ago he decided to pull it over his mouth and nose and tie it as a way to cover it to prevent anymore of the nasty sand to enter either passage ways.
Trudging along the high winds and the shifting sand he caught sight of something, looked like a person... if it wasn't anything bad he'd be happy to see what it is..! He attempted to rush toward it as he then suddnely slipped fro m the shifting sand and faceplanted into the sand with a muddled thud.

The Pachirisu was hopping around on the sand, it's temperature unpleasant to her bare paws. The way she flapped her arms every time she jumped made it seem almost like she was attempting to fly. Prue still sitting in the place she'd tripped down in, with the Pachirisu to her back. She had her arms pulled close and jerking her head around. Where was she? This wasn't Unova. Well, it could be? But she totally hadn't been on Route 4. Or in the Resort. So what was all this sand?!
The storm had actually stopped before Laura was halfway there, depositing the startled woman and her electric squirrel. So given the desert held a whole lot of nothing, it was probable Laura had seen her during her entire crash, stand, trip, fall and subsequent freaking out. The Pachirisu had given up trying to hop around the sand and was now rolling around it, and if one tilted their head right it would seem almost as if she was chasing her tail. Absolutely adorale if a little... slow, seeming.
Suddenly Sora's ears shot straight up and she jumped to her feet, still hopping due to the hot sand. She saw Laura and Rapier, and ran over to Prue in a hopping method to avoid keeping her paws on the ground any longer than they had to be. She leapt up and landed on Prue's back, just shy of her shoulder, and had to struggle to pull herself up to her shoulder. Prue jerked her head to the side in surprise as Sora hung there, half forward of the shoulder, and turned to look at her.
"Pachi!~ Pachi Chi!" the squirrel said, pointing with the paw furthest from Prue's head in Laura and Rapier's direction.
Prue blinked in confusion and turned her head in the direction Sora had indicated, almost sending the little electric squirrel off her shoulder again. Her eyes widened when she saw people.
"Heeeey!" Prue said, suddenly lifting her arms and waving them frantically. She hadn't stood up yet, "Hey hey! Over here over here!!"

Lena rubbed her head, occassionaly shaking it off to one side, causing sand to fall out of her ears. She was also spitting out sand, which mind you, wasn't exactly known for its flavour. It was kind of gross, mind you. Even ketchup wouldn't make it taste any better. It'd be all sticky and hard to get out of your mouth. Don't ask how I know this stuff. Maybe a Krabby wouldn't mind eating sand, but last she checked, she wasn't a Krabby...
.. Okay, train of thoughts, still catching up to sand-brained (she had a brain?) trainer. That was probably gonna take some time.
However, while Lena was still catching up, it seemed as though Spooky had noticed something was off. He remembered being in a forest, on a jog (Spiritombs can jog?), not waiting for his trainer to clear her head of sand, in more ways than one.
"Toooooooooooomb!" He suddenly yelled, spotting what appeared to be a Pachirisu a bit further away, its trainer on the sands as well.
Spooky's not a dumb as people say he is, so he knew he needed someone who was more used to the sandstorm, preferably one that wasn't getting damaged by it every now and then, leaving Spiral and Natalya. Now Spiral probably had ADHD, and Natalya was cold, but hey, they're the Sandstormers.
Not wanting to risk himself or his trainer to the Drilbur's bone-crushing hugs, he, somehow, managed to move his body over to the Ultra Ball containing the (comparatively) sane sandstorm specialist, and hit the button on it.
A female Krokorok with what appeared to be a spiky construction helmet on its head was released. It paused, looking around. Was she home? She saw something unfamiliar out in the distance...
"... Krok..." It said, quietly.
"Toooooooomb!"
"Krokorok."
"TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMB!!!!"
And there goes an argument between Spooky and Natalya because of the personality difference.
By the way, Lena is still trying to de-sand herself. She's also hoping that she didn't swallow any. It didn't taste good no matter what condiments you put on it. Don't ask how I know this.

Halfway to the eye of the storm, it just stopped. Laura stumbled forward from the sudden lack of pressure against her body, and nearly fell forward on the sand again. She continued trudging toward the figure that had fallen onto the sand from the rip in the sky. She could hear someone yelling for her from there.
Laura stopped in front of Prue and Sora and looked down at the two.
"So you two are responsible for that storm, huh?" Laura asked.
Meanwhile, Rapier was glancing around nervously. He could sense the presence of other Pokemon and at least one human. It was making him rather nervous.

Everywhere he looked, he saw nothing but sand in the wind. Where the hell was he? And how did he get here anyway?
Bridget the Furret seemed equally confused, sitting on his trainer's shoulders. He liked doing so, looking like a boa scarf. Steven thought it looked silly but he was okay with it. He kept him warm either way!
Having no other real recourse, the trainer decided to just pick a direction and walk it. His path was curving slightly, but he kept going. Without any real landmarks to go by, that was the only option. He checked his bag for anything that might help.
"Water... lemonade... hmm... some food..."
Bridget was scouting ahead while he looked. A team effort, he'd signal Steven if they were about to run into something, and would put pressure on either side of his shoulders to indicate a turn he recommended. But with no obstacles, that wasn't exactly needed.
Soon enough, Steven heard shouting through the air. It was hard to tell its exact direction, but he turned toward it and walked that way. Was there someone else lost in the desert too? Or was it just some wild Pokemon?

Stand up, dust self off, notice winds dying down.
Well at least that's over with, for now. In any case he was wiping his mouth with his scarf, as he was trudging on forward carelessly, his eyes shut at the time stinging from the sand, he was blindly walking forward, and behind prue passing her.
Oh hey the sand came out! He then blinked, sensing the presence of others? Should he be excited or worried. Maybe it was other pokemon, who were wondering what he was doing here. Granted he didn't even know what he was doing here. As he then refered to his question and looked to the left. He saw at least two trainers with pokemon out.
