If it hadn't been clear Atsuro was covering details before, it was blatent enough that a person far less observant than Adil would have caught it. There seemed to be a reason for it, although Adil couldn't claim to know quite what it was. Presumably it was Island related. He wasn't going to put his nose where it didn't belong, so he nodded.
"Why does everyone have to blame my home..." Teddie said with a half-hearted pout. Sure, the fog had returned, but that wasn't the fault of where he belonged. He looked back at Minato, "But we do have to help Sensei... but what can we do?"
----------
Cain didn't seem entirely pleased with the answer, and had a frown that came across as a bit of an angry pout giving his apparent age. Still, it confirmed everything he'd been thinking, especially when Abel used his powers, presumably to block the area off. The other Abel would have flat out told him no, not dodged the question. His smirk returned after a moment, but Seth spoke up first... and Cain showed a rare expression. He actually seemed surprised at being cut off.
"He was reborn in the world of the other Abel that was here," Seth answered for Cain, "Apparently YHVH relocated his soul to a different world, although he seems to have the memories of that one as well."

Minato sighed as Teddie brought up everyone blaming his home. Because that's where things tend to come from the most, Teddie, Minato thought to himself. It was a haven of Shadows, after all.
"We should probably investigate the TV World, see if we can find anything out... find out what's actually wrong with Souji, while we're at it," Minato said. "But you were looking for Souji, right? You should go check on him at least. Last I saw him Izanami was leading him off to her quarters to rest."
------------------
Abel gained a rare expression of surprise as Seth spoke up. His expression became flat again as Seth continued, and he turned back toward Cain. Abel finally settled on an emotion at Seth's explanation.
"So you're why the other Abel is here," Abel snarled. "I was wondering what 'holy mission' YHVH had sent him here on. You lured him here."

Teddie looked like he wanted to argue, but even he knew that there was a good chance something related to his home was to blame. Hadn't he seen that demon open a door that they hadn't been able to open to escape? Nyahla-something or other if he recalled correctly. He gave a nod towards Minato and turned to go before pausing and looking back at Minato, looking serious but confused.
"Uh... where does she live?"
Adil looked at Atsuro, * "Are you sure I'm not in the way here? I don't really know Souji that well, so I think I'd just be in the way."*
----------
Cain gave a smirk at Abel's misinterpretation of the situation. He couldn't claim that he didn't have the ability to jump realities, after all it was working with demons and technology that had allowed them to arrive on the Island in the first and second places. So instead he simply gave a shrug, neither confirming or denying Abel's snarled accusation. He glanced at Seth and the smirk seemed to grow dark for a moment before he turned back towards Abel.
"It's rather interesting how much you let your subordinates get away with, Abel," Cain said. He crossed his arms and his smirk widened, "Although I suppose you're about as aware of the full situation as Seth here is."
It only took half a beat of confusion for Seth to realize where Cain had taken the conversation. Hitoshura. What was he playing at with that?! If he pissed Abel off it could get them both killed, at least if Cain hadn't been lying about his lack of true immortality... and givnig he'd been suspecting it for some time, he saw no reason to disagree.
Was Cain trying to get them... or was he taking an educated gamble that Abel wouldn't? He swallowed a lump in his throat and made an effort to not give Abel any sort of eye contact as he waited for the reaction to Cain's taunt.

Minato blinked at Teddie's question, and he suddenly realized he didn't know the answer to that one either.
"Uh... I thought you knew. Since you were going this way in the first place," Minato said. "I don't remember seeing it the last time we were here, either..."
Amaterasu gave a bark and ran off in a direction, stopping and looking back at the others. Minato frowned. "Oh, I think Ammy knows. We should probably follow her."
Atsuro looked back at the group. * "If you want go, you can. Tell Anzu we meet with them when duel start." *
---------------------------
Abel only continued to give Cain a flat look at the boy shrugged. The same as always... He supposed a mere seven years or so wouldn't be enough to change Cain's personality. He glared once more at him as he spoke once more. He could already sense Hitoshura's presence oozing from the ground around him. He would have just barely missed the demon when he arrived.
"I don't really give a damn, Cain. Hitoshura will end up dead soon enough, even if Seth continues to disobey my orders," He gave a sharp look toward Seth as he said that. "I'll punish him later. Just because he can heal doesn't mean I can't let him bleed for a while."
From the way Abel was speaking, one would think he'd completely forgotten the conversation he'd had with Yuugi. In truth, he was just acting like this because Cain was here. He didn't want to be criticized by his brother for not doing things right, even when Cain already was. It was a pride issue more than anything, really.

Teddie shook his head at Minato's words. He'd kind of just been wandering around, hoping to find anyone of their group... preferably Souji, cause that was who Yuugi had sent him off to find, but anyone that knew where Souji was had been okay too. He was going to give Minato a concerned questionabout what they were supposed to do when Amaterasu barked and ran off. He didn't need to be told by Minato to head after her, he'd heard her exact words and understood what she meant.
Adil had jumped a little at Amaterasu's sudden bark, and it was after that Atsuro had responded to him. He wasn't sure he wanted to go, but he knew that the group would feel more free to talk openly if he wasn't there. It was for that reason he gave Atsuro a smile and a nod, * "I'll see if I can find her, for sure. You guys take care of Souji, okay?" *
----------
Seth's face twitched ever so little as Abel once again affirmed that Hitoshura would end up dead, with or without his assistance. He brought it under control remarkably quickly, and Cain's only response was a raised eyebrow and a wider smirk which could easily be taken as a response to Abel's words.
The physically older man had slanted his eyebrows down and given a twitch of a frown before he got his emotions under control. Cain had himself a feeling that had it been anyone but someone Seth... cared about (he didn't bother concealing the snort at that thought. Five thousand years and still blind as a proverbial bat), there would have been no reaction at all.
"You are aware he's not invincible, I presume?" Cain said, continuing to smile. Seth's expression became grumpier at that, but there was tinges of worry. He dared a glance at Abel before turning away. Cain had never gone into detail on that... Abel had shown up before he could beat it out of the boy.

Atsuro nodded toward Adil, not even bothering with responding in English, before following after the others.
Amaterasu stopped in front of a rather traditional house that Minato figured was Izanami's house. He walked up to the door and knocked a couple times. He hoped Izanami wouldn't get too pissed off at him... he doubted she liked them much.
-------------------
Abel gave a slight frown at the expression that had spread over Seth's face. Why did his brother care so much about Hitoshura? The man had given his reasons, but Abel still could not understand why. He turned back toward Cain at his snort and returned to staring at the boy.
"I got that impression," Abel stated. "I think I have enough self control that I know how far I can go without killing him, though. He's not as fragile as you, after all, Cain."
He suddenly smirked and bent down a bit so that he was on eye level with Cain. "Though you know, I wonder how proper it would be to really let you advise me or even try to order me around. You're too adorable like that, oniisan."

Souji had conked out again even before Sayuri had gotten him to the house... which really was there for show. Sayuri didn't really live there, after all. There'd be no food in the fridge, but then again it didn't seem as if Souji would be needing food any time soon.
"She had just gotten him settled into a futon when she heard knocking at the door. She blinked and then frowned when she sensed Amaterasu's presence. While Issun could knock, she had a feeling it wasn't just her niece. She walked to the front door and opened it, her concern just fading to tiredness as she saw Minato.
"He hasn't woken up," she stated. She glanced to the side as she saw Teddie, and she frowned a moment before turning to Minato, "If you're here to accuse me over something related to his home, I still don't know anything."
----------
Seth seemed puzzled as Abel decided to focus on Cain rather than him. It seemed Abel was, despite his attitude, in a better mood than usual. He might have even relaxed had Naoki not resurfaced in his mind. That was still a problem, a bigger one than he would have guessed... and for reasons Cain seemed to know better than him. That was annoying.
Cain gave a bit of an arrogant scowl as Abel accused him of being fragile. Part of it was he knew he couldn't argue, he would have to continue to rely on how he could manipulate people based on his apparent age and agility for many years to come. He tensed up slightly as Abel bent down, clearly ready to jump back, but Abel went forward with further teasing. He returned the smirk after Abel called him adorable.
"Demons should know better than to judge by appearance, otouto. Have you forgotten Alice?"
Seth winced as Cain mentioned that. That wasn't the most positive of subjects to be throwing around.

Minato grimaced at the expression that crossed Izanami's face. She was almost looking as exhausted as Souji had before. He shook his head at Izanami's statement.
"I'm not here to accuse you of anything. Teddie was looking for Souji," Minato stated. "Besides, I managed to worm some info out of Igor. Not much, though."
"Can we at least check on Souji?" Atsuro asked. "If he's conked out so badly, we shouldn't have to worry about waking him up, right?"
Amaterasu gave a supportive bark.
-------------------
Abel's smirk dropped at the mention of Alice. Of course Cain had to bring up that embarrassment, didn't he. Of course the smirk returned rather quickly and he reached forward and grabbed both of Cain's cheeks.
"Oh, I know, but I can't help but pinch those little cheeks," Abel chuckled. "Look at you! You may have been starving yourself as usual but you've still got such pudgy little kid cheeks."
It was really becoming all too clear how much of a good mood Abel was in right now. Had he not been in a good mood (like when he'd come here in the first place) he would have likely flipped on Cain.

Sayuri didn't seem thrilled that Minato was there to check on Souji. He'd seen the condition the silver haired... male teenager had left in, after all. Teddie wasn't likely to sit there and take her word though. She glanced back and considered what Minato had said about Igor, not quite knowing who he was but figuring he was related to the thing before. She pulled open the sliding door the rest of the way and stepped to the side.
"I'm not sure waking him up would do any further harm anyways, but be quiet regardless," she said, sounding tired but firm.
Teddie was frowning, not looking horribly happy about stepping into her house. He looked like he was ready to dart in, but was holding himself back. Rather rabbit caught in headlights like with the twitchiness, although his worried and slightly angry expression didn't qutie match.
----------
Cain scowled as Abel grabbed his cheeks... rather hard, really. It wasn't like there was much to grab. Abel had hit the point about him looking underfed... at his age most people wouldn't come upon the actual realization he was eerily in shape for his potential age. He twitched a bit, inclined to pull away, but he stopped himself upon realiznig that if Abel didn't want to let him go, he could end up damaging himself.
Seth, in the meanwhile, had blinked at the shift in reaction. Abel... actually seemed in a fairly decent mood. As in it was possible that he wouldn't have to deal with the reactiveness to his interactions with Hitoshura he'd thought he would. Of course, that was probably hoping too much. He cleared his throat slightly.
"Abel, perhaps we should force details from him about the situation regarding me? It would be in our best interests to know my... well, limits."

Minato gave a sigh of relief as Izanami stepped out of the way and opened the door all the way. He pushed Teddie forward a bit in attempt to get him to move.
"You wanted to check on him, right? Go on in," Minato said.
Amaterasu, of course, didn't waste any time and went in first, making a beeline for the room that would have been Sayuri's had she actually used this house. Asleep in a futon in the middle of the room was Souji, who appeared to be sleeping soundly. However, his presence was painfully weak. A god with the power of Izanagi should have filled this room with his presence. She gave a whine and lay down next to Souji.
------------------
Abel released Cain's cheeks and stood up again, turning back toward Seth as he did so. "I suppose we should, since he's our main source of information at the moment."
He looked down at Cain. "Well, elaborate for us, Cain. You're the one who gave Seth this curse so it's your job to elaborate on it."

Teddie's eyes widened a bit as Minato came up behind him. He really sort of stumbled into the house, giving Minato a kind of "heythatwasmean" look before turning around and heading after Amaterasu.
"I don't know an Igor," Sayuri said. The name really didn't ring any sort of bell at all, and it clearly annoyed her.
----------
Cain had to fight the urge to rub his cheeks. Given the control Abel had over his emotions, there was no doubt how intentional that level of force had been. He wasn't given Abel the satisfaction of knowing how much it... how old was he again? Literally as opposed to physically. He scowled for a moment until Abel asked his question. He shrugged and smirked.
"You're the one that was so willing to let him bleed, were you not? He's never going to hate Hitoshura as much as you'd like, you know... not even close."

Minato waited for the others to head inside before answering Sayuri. He frowned.
"I didn't think you would. He runs this special room just for Wild Card users, like me and Souji, called the Velvet Room," Minato said. "He's always rather cryptic on things, but he's been able to give me information before, so I tried asking him things."
He frowned. "There was an entrance to the Velvet Room in the door to your honden. When I used my Velvet Key on the lock, I saw something that didn't look like the inside of the honden I saw the last time we came here. There was a butterfly on the floor and a strange mask at the back of the room. I didn't get to investigate before I got pulled into the Velvet Room, but I thought it might help to mention that."
-----------------------
Souji would give a slight twitch at Teddie's entrance to the room, the first sign of any kind of real movement since he'd fallen asleep this most recent time. Really, it was the only thing that indicated he wasn't in some kind of coma.
----------------------
Abel scowled again. Why did Cain keep saying that? He was starting to feel pissed off again.
"There are ways to make him hate," Abel snarled. "I don't give a damn about whatever fucked up friendship bullshit they're forming, Hitoshura is going to die. Now follow my order, Cain."

Sayuri raised an eyebrow as Minato described what he'd seen before being pulled into the Velvet Room. She crossed her arms and appeared in thought. The Alaya Shrines had not been Shinto... or anything highly recogonizable at all, so she hadn't stuck he nose into them much, but she knew their basic motif. There hadn't been one in Tatsumi or Inaba, but...
"Are you familiar with the Alaya Shrines?" Izanami asked.
Meanwhile, Teddie had plopped down on the floor next to Souji, frowning at him. He looked over at Amaterasu, who at least didn't think he was "evil" like Koromaru did. Observant people might have noticed that Teddie had sat closer to Amaterasu than the actual dog in their group.
"Can't you fix it?" Teddie frowned towards Sayuri.
---------
Cain didn't even bother to try and hold in the laughter at Abel's comment about "friendship bullshit". He let out a loud scoff.... it wasn't exactly a laugh, but given how much expression Cain was known for showing it was quite the display. Seth's expression turned to a frown and he took a step forward towards Cain.
"Your attempts to use your apparent age won't work this time, I know you know Abel put up a barrier," Seth growled.
Cain smirked at Seth, not threatened by his display in the slightest. He turned back towards Abel, "You damage him far enough, he'll die... for the time being, it's simply an exaggerated version of my own curse. Then again, if I hadn't "given it to him", he wouldn't be standing here now would he? Hitoshura was ready to kill him when he took my life... I suspect he carried through."

Minato shook his head. "I've never heard of an Alaya Shrine before. Are they another thing connected to that Philemon guy?"
Atsuro turned toward Teddie and gave a pained smile. At that moment, a horrible thought hit Atsuro. What if they couldn't help Souji? What would Teddie do without him? Everything Atsuro'd seen that bear do centered around Souji.
Maybe Teddie would become someone just like him, someone without a purpose in the world...
Amaterasu prodded Souji a bit with her nose. It appeared that Teddie's voice had caused Souji to stir, and she could sense that it was important that Teddie spoke with Souji. With how weak Souji was, it was entirely possible he wouldn't be able to speak again if he fell asleep again.
---------------------
Abel's gaze narrowed at the scoff. What the hell did Cain find so funny? He was starting to get on his nerves.
"No, he wouldn't, and for that I am glad," Abel stated quite calmly. "Since YHVH is clearly incapable of removing curses he has placed himself, we'll be able to continue our plans for more extended periods of time now without having to worry about the mortality of one of us."
He allowed his expression to remain flat as he continued. He had to show no sign of a lie with this. "I suppose I should tell you now. Hitoshura managed to kill Atsuro. The three of us are the only remaining members of the Court."

Izanami frowned. As a goddess, she was used to knowing things. Especially about Japan. So it bothered her even more than she was showing that there was an area she knew very little about. An area where she, and she was pretty sure all gods, weren't welcome. She gave a nod.
"As far as I can figure, yes. I'm not sure it would even be possible for me to step foot in one... I ignored their presence on our world simply because the humans felt no threat from it.. quite opposite," Sayuri said. She shook her head, "I don't think it's possible for me to investigate it further. Even the name Philemon is one created by man, not by the being itself."
Teddie didn't really notice Atsuro's smile, having turned back to Souji when Izanami carried on without answering his question. He looked over at Amaterasu as she nudged Souji, and Souji's limited reaction made Teddie realize the silver haired teenager might be awake. He jerked forward and put his hands on Souji's shoulders, shaking them.
"Sensei, sensei are you awake?!"
----------
The dominant thought in Cain's mind as Abel continued was that they'd have to worry about the mortality plenty. While most of the demons may listen to Abel's command to not test Seth's limits... there were certain circles that tended to enjoy discovering new means to torture humanity.
And there was always the angels to consider, who weren't nearly as merciful as he was sure Remiel had attempted to/managed to convince Abel of... and of course there was the error of Abel's first line. YHVH was certainly capable, but He tended to have His own ideas of what needed to be done.
Cain raised an eyebrow at Abel's comment, his smirk from before still remaining. There was rather the expression of "oh really?" across his face... but he didn't even glance at Seth. Which given what he seemed to be thinking, was a good thing. Seth's expression had twitched rather blatently and Cain would have seen the obviousness of the lie from a mile away.
"Well that removes the weakest links then, doesn't it?" Cain glanced at Seth now, who had brought his expression back to neutral... if a little annoyed that Cain had given no further explanation to his mortality as he had before, "It's quite obvious Seth won't be as stupid about what we have to do as he was, so that takes care of the problems on our end."
