Full Name: Ellwood Song
Nicknames: Ellie
Age: 13
Height: 5’ 6”
Weight: 105 lbs
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Alliance: Neutral Good
Home: Earth
Franchise: n/a
Physical Description: Ellie is a redhaired Caucasian girl of average height. Her eyes are brown colored, but they’re usually hidden behind rather thick, round glasses. She typically wears a brown sweatshirt with a cat emblem on the front, grey sweatpants, and white tennis shoes. Perched on her head at most times is a yellow canary, who is rather unimaginably named Canary.
Weapons: Ellie will use whatever’s available to her, but she tends to carry a crowbar so she can fight Gordon Freeman style.
Abilities/Powers: Ellie is normal. She does not have any particular powers of her own. However, for some reason, other people’s powers fail around her. Within a certain distance of Ellie, any magical abilities will cease to work, including ones that would actually benefit her. The reason for this is not entirely understood, but it’s guessed to be because she lacks a “magical core”, causing her to become a sort of black hole magic wise.
Ellie’s pet Canary has the power to sense auras, and can distinguish the unique auras of any creature.
Skills: Ellie is pretty good at sewing.
Personality: Ellie is probably the biggest nerd you’ll ever meet. This girl has spent more time than is possibly healthy playing video games, watching TV, and going on the internet, and as such is somewhat of an expert on pretty much everything. Though she has a somewhat bubbly and silly personality, she also tends to be quite the cynic, and once you do something to piss her off, she will passive-aggressive the shit out of you. And then eventually she’ll leave the passive-aggressive behind and start really laying into you. She can be quite the angry person. Her main set offs really only tend to be “Being a jerk” and “defiling the canon she loves and cherishes”.
Canary is a bird. I mean, gosh. He’s not even really a character. He’s just the pet bird/mac-guffin. Gosh.
History: Ellie lived the most normal of lives any young nerd could. She had good grades, friends, and internet. Her parents were, what you would say, awesome. They were into video games, so Ellie grew up with video games around her too. For her twelfth birthday, Ellie’s parents got her a pet canary, which she unimaginatively named Canary. They were the best of friends.
A few months later, portals opened up in every major city on the planet.
No one knew where these portals led, only that people who went through them would come back strange. Ellie eventually came to the conclusion that the people who were coming through them were either aliens or demons. About a month after the initial portals opened, large numbers of strange beings came through the portals and they closed up. The strange beings then undertook a coup of several governments, including the United States government.
Soon after this coup, Ellie discovered that Canary could sense the demons. She decided to use her pet’s powers for good and began a small insurgency against the demons, using her friends to help her. Their resistance quickly grew, and Ellie became the leader of the first organized resistance against the Demons. She discovered her ability to mute magic when several demons attacked a small group she was with and their magic didn’t affect her, but hurt all of the other humans in her group. Ellie then used this power to undertake what would normally be a suicide run and attacked all of the demons directly, beating them over the head with a crowbar until they were unconscious.
Almost a year after the beginning of the formal resistance, a portal opened up in the heart of Atlanta. It was then that Ellie decided to see what was on the other side of the portal, and went through on her own in an attempt to stop the flow of demons. Instead, what she found was the Dimensional Island. Ellie is sure that the demons flowing into her world has something to do with that, so she’s staying on the island until she finds out for herself.
Other: Ellie is yet another one of the alternate versions of Tree running around, meaning if she were to ever come in contact with her, it is very likely world ending consequences will ensue. Not because they're alternate versions of themselves and meeting each other. Because they would likely break something together and that something would be THE WHOLE WORLD.
