Full Name: Hi'ar Pue'rtagero
Nickname(s): N/A
Age: ~5,000 years old
Height: 213 cm/7'
Weight: 64 kg/140 lbs
Gender: Male
Race: Demon
Alliance: Antagonist
Home: Bazaroth
Franchise: Big Eyes, Small Mouth (BESM) 3rd Edition OC
Physical Description
Hi'ar is rather tall and lean. Most of his skin is of a dark red hue, sans his upper torso, which is of the appropriate tint for an average Caucasian male. The colouring of his eyes is inversed, with the bit where his whites would normally be taking on a bright yellow tint. His pupils are completely white. His ears are pointed, comparable to that of an elf or, say, a Vulcan. His hair he seems to show no care for, allowing it to hang loosely around his head in matted curls.
His teeth are perhaps, quite strangely, his least odd aspect. They are all, however, unnaturally sharp, his canines being the most readily apparent. They're rather fang-like, and, contrary to the rest of his appearance, appear to have been paid an inordinate amount of attention. They are, quite literally, pearly white.
Though he seemingly gives little thought towards his appearance, he does wear a simple pair of dark blue trousers, and a large tan cloak. He makes no attempt to cover his feet, however. Therefore, their red hue and the claws in place of toenails is clearly visible at most times.
Weapons
Hi'ar has no need of weapons, though if the situation calls for it, he can weaponise his environment. Perhaps in spite of this fact, he has a level of skill with certain bladed weaponry and is an expert at the bow. See Skills section for more on this.
Abilities/Powers
Hi'ar is able to, in an ability unique to him, able to weaponise his aura. Those weaker than him, lesser demons and humans alike, feel physically ill in his presence unless he shields his aura. Those closer to his standing are less effected. This is generally not useful in a battle, for somewhat obvious reasons. However, if one is far weaker than him, those amongst the lowest level of demon/human, he can kill the individual by placing a palm on said individual's forehead, focusing his aura in that direction.
Hi'ar, lacking wings, is not capable of flight. He is, however, able to levitate by flexing his energies. It puts a bit of strain on him, and thus he cannot attack while levitating.
Skills
Hi'ar is exceptional at holding grudges. He is the grudge master. He is also able to, given enough time, figure out the nature of most constructs. More advanced technology, duel disks for example, would take a fairly larger amount of time, but he could eventually work it over. It's not a skill that has prominent use, but one nonetheless.
Hi'ar is quite durable, being able to suffer wounds considered fatal even by his race's standards and still come out alive. He's not incredibly easy to wound either, for that matter. He's a bit of a combat pragmatist, using any tactic needed to win a fight. He's known, actually, for his ability to control the pacing of a fight, generally keeping his opponent on the defensive, reacting to his actions.
He is quite skilled with a bow, though he doesn't keep one on hand. Bladed weapons he has some amount of skill with, but he is in no way an expert. At best, he has basic skill with anything from a dagger to a rapier.
Personality
He can be a shockingly calm individual, given what he is and his outward appearance. If one were silly enough to attempt to engage in simple conversation with him, they would find him quite relaxed. Assuming he were to find the individual intriguing enough to continue to commune with, however. He carries an air of arrogance, evident from the fashion he speaks to the way he walks. He holds himself much like one of nobility would, seeing those around him as beneath him.
This all rings true until someone manages to irritate him. It is a somewhat difficult thing to do, but once he's angry, his wrath is almost inescapable. His high opinion of his social standing must be taken into consideration here, however. He feels that those beneath him should remember their place, and if he has to raze an entire village to get this point across, he will.
Perhaps due to this, he has a heated resent for those above him, in this case the Infernal King.
History
Hi'ar cannot remember his birth. There are few who can. He would not say that he has always been, but he would also not say that he has never been. He is, he was, and he will be. He isn't entirely certain. His sealing at the hands of a naïve mage has left him somewhat out of it. Regardless, he can't remember. So, unfortunately, his history doesn't start there.
It starts in what was essentially the middle of his life. He was at the top of his order, bested by only the Infernal King. He was the most powerful of the Lords to owe fealty to the Infernal King. He held a position of great social standing, with few superiors. Needless to say, he was not content. At all, really. He held within him a desire to be at the top. Ruler of all.
So he plotted. Plotted to betray the Infernal King and grasp control of his dominion. It would require much calculating, but Hi'ar was nothing if not patient. So he waited for the proper time to put his plan into action. A chance soon showed itself, and he acted. Perhaps a bit too rashly, but he had waited his entire life for such an opportunity. He discovered that he was a key to a Gate. A Gate to Earth, at that. He was nearly overcome with joy as he stepped through the ancient stone circle, finding himself in the midst of a small village.
Perhaps he had been too liberal in his decision to raze said village to the ground. Perhaps his mistake had been in the amount of time he took to finish. Either way, he'd attracted the attention of a sorceror. Hi'ar was nearly taken aback when the individual referred to himself as 'Earth's protector'. In a moment of naivete, he believed the young mage to be the Ozymandius of legend. Earth's gatekeeper. He would later realise that this assumption had been very incorrect. Even so, the young man proved more powerful than Hi'ar had given him credit for. It had been his third, and nearly final, mistake. As he stood there with Hi'ar's through his chest, the fool had begun to speak off a sealing spell. It was pure luck on the hellspawn's part that he died before he could utter the final line. Regardless, he was injured, his window of opportunity gone. He retreated back to his world.
It was like entering a shark pool with a massively bleeding abdomen. The lesser demons that resided in his portion of Bazaroth could practically smell his weakness, swarming him. He reminded them that, injured or not, he was still the strongest of his order, dispatching most if not all of them. Entering the palace that served as his domain, he slaughtered all but the most loyal of his underlings. Servants didn't matter any longer. He'd missed his first chance to overthrow the Infernal King in centuries. Needless to say, he was a bit annoyed. It would be at least another century before he would contribute to the breeding programme, remaining mostly out of the public eye until then. It wasn't that he was afraid, but rather that he spent that entire 100 years or so fuming. The individual he had chosen to spare, the underling most loyal to him, had managed to insert himself seamlessly into the 'schooling'. Hi'ar set him to work, maintaining a vague disinterest. Unless his offspring turned out to also be a key, this folly would be pointless. It was a gamble he was making, but it was the only remaining window of opportunity he could rely on.
Thus, he was quite presently surprised when it was reported to him that not only was his offspring a Key, but he'd opened a Gate. Years of planning and shenanigans would now come to their conclusion. And he would no longer have an unnamed sorceror to deal with.
