History
Aya's first appearance in the Touhou Project was in Phantasmagoria of Flower View. At least, it was in the original universe. In this Alternate Universe, Aya met with the newcomer to Gensokyo, Michael, shortly after the Perfect Cherry Blossom Incident. The two became friends quickly, and Aya and Michael formed a fifth team, the Illusory Reporters team, during the Imperishable Night Incident (Aya was the unfocused member of the team, Michael was the Focused one). They took on Reimu before reaching Eintei alongside Marisa and Alice. After beating Reisen, the teams split up; Marisa and Alice went to kick Eirin's ass, while Aya and Michael investigated the one unlocked door.
Needless to say, Kaguya and Eirin both were pummeled, resolving the Incident. Both teams also went into the forest again during the wee hours of the morning; Magic team took on EX-Keine while Reporters team fought Mokou.
Aya and Michael later worked to take pictures of peoples' spellcards for the Newspaper (Shoot the Bullet), Michael taking a similar role to Hatate in Double Spoiler (Smaller lens size, quicker recharge, less zoom). Reimu fought against Aya when she, Marisa, and Michael went to the Youkai Mountain to stop the Moriya crew (Reimu won). Aya played a smaller role in a few other Incidents, getting pictures during the Scarlet Weather Incident, acting as mission control for Reimu during the third timeloop around the Subterranean Animism Incident, taking some more pictures of people, and pointing Cirno Marisa's way after the fairy's little war was finished.
Aya got a letter delivered via Gap-Mail not too long after Michael and Co. left for the Dimensional Island; getting excited at the prospect of new things to photograph and the articles that could be written, Aya grabbed Momiji (In this universe, her best and closest friend), gathered some supplies (including her pen and ink, her notebook, and plenty of film), and left for the Dimensional Island.
Other: Nothing else in particular.
