Physical Description
Sayaka is a slim Japanese looking girl of junior high age. She has bright blue eyes and short blue hair, which looks kind of hacked at the bottom, although two prominent pieces fall in front of her eyes. She also has ahir clips holding hair back behind her left ear. It's loose past her right one.
She can usually be seen in the uniform for a local music school, a slight odditiy considering she is homeschooled. The uniform consists of a short blue pleated skirt with white trim. The top is a white shirt with a slight inverted "v" shape at the center and ruffles coming out from the bottom. The breast area and long sleeves are blue, and an inverted v-shape comes up between the center of her breasts. The cuffs on her sleeves are rolled up and are white. She also has a white bow set on her collarbone. There is also a blue bow at the small of her back on the back.
Her shoes are fairly plane and blue, but she wears tall white socks that stop just below her knees and have a stripe of blue just a bit down from the top. It is not uncommon to see Sayaka with a hard blue case strapped over her shoulder - it holds a very expensive and ornate looking violin.

Sayaka is a fairly normal early teens girl. Why would she have a weapon? The violin case? She'd die first.
Abilities/Powers
Sayaka's only power is the potential to become a Puella Magi. Beyond that she's a normal girl.
Skills
Sayaka has a great ear for music, particularly classical. However, she's not all that good at it, and struggles to maintain high enough grades to not get booted from the private school she attends. She's a really good athlete, though.
Personality
Sayaka is a case of layered personality. On the surface she's super friendly and energetic. She seems to have a lack of understanding of personal space and will smack you on the back in excitement and punch you in the arm if you're moping. Although if you try to take advantage of these traits she'll skirt away from you, leading into the hidden aspect of her personality.
Sayaka is a girl who seems to take the weight of the world on her shoulders and bottles it up inside. She has trouble sharing her feelings with others, and tends to have this feeling people just won't understand. She believes with her everything in justice and fighting for what is right, but recent events in her life have made her begin to question justice on a more divine scale.
Related to her personality is the violin. She will kick your ass six ways from Sunday if you even SUGGEST doing harm to it. She will completely freak out if she gets caught in a rainstorm and won't settle down until she can get inside and make sure it is not damaged. She isn't even happy with letting most people so much as look at it. If you can manage to get a response out of her about it, she'll tell you that "I have to keep it safe. For when he gets better. It has to stay safe."
History
(This) Sayaka was born on Dimensional Island. Due to the somewhat lacking school systems there, she was homeschooled. She spent most of her spare time causing trouble in the park and various areas rescuing kids who were being bullied, and developing some pretty decent athletic skills as a result. She ended up helping a boy named Kyousuke on the playground when she was eight from some kids threatening to smash his violin, an expensive and intricate looking thing that she would learn was a gift from his father, and his father before that.
As thanks for saving him, Kyousuke played some music for Sayaka, and she immediately began crushing on him for the beautiful noise. Eventually her interest in the boy would lead to her convincing her parents to enroll her in a local private music school, where she struggled but did her absolute best so she could stay there, near Kyousuke. She ended up befriending other people in the school, but her main focus was Kyousuke... who was so wrapped up in his studies he hardly ever noticed Sayaka.
All this changed when the usual upheavel of the Island ended up catching Kyousuke's family. His father was killed, his mother scraped up, and him... he received an injury to his hands. He was hospitalized, and it became clear over time he would never be able to play the violin again. Sayaka visited him frequently, but he saw her as nothing more than a friend. When he threatened to destroy his violin, Sayaka jumped up and said she'd keep it for when he got better. She didn't let him argue with her, and ended up taking it home. She refuses to try and learn it for fear of damaging Kyousuke's precious family heirloom, and god help you if you even look at it funny.
This is where her life is now. She tries to put on a smiling face for her friends and her school, but the emotional weight is pulling at her. An emotional turmoil that lends well to wishes and the potential as a magical girl...
